Relax with your morning coffee on our balcony overlooking the ocean. Located in a quiet residential beachfront area, this 9-unit condo building named Costa Blanca is between the famous spa Cieba del Mar and the large hotel Secrets Excellence... Only a 2 kilometer walk into the town square of quaint Puerto Morelos. Restaurants, shopping, taxis, internet cafes and money exchange are located there. The 9 condos are occupied by owners on vacation or their age 12+ renters seeking a leisurely vacation.
This condo is furnished with comfortable luxurious leather sofas and lounge chairs, Dish network TV from the USA, large refrigerator, plenty of linens, stacked washer and dryer, cooking equipment, and almost everything you would expect to find in your own home except an oven and bathtub! [Toaster oven is available; bathrooms have showers.] On the middle floor, it overlooks the pool and large patio for sunning in the loungers or gathering with other renters and owners for cocktails in the evening around the large table under the concrete palapa.
Two very large bedrooms sleep 5-6 persons in air-conditioned comfort and a Maid's room with a double bed is available also, with its own bath and overhead fan. A roll-away is also available.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos
Puerto Morelos reminds us of the way Playa del Carmen used to be. The traditional town square has been preserved as a gathering place, with play equipment for the children and benches for adults. We really like the laid-back atmosphere. If you want the "party scene", Cancun is your place. The variety of restaurants gives us the option of eating out or cooking in, with take-out available in one or two eating places. The beaches are uncrowded except on weekends in the town area, but at our condo and house there are whole stretches of unoccupied white sand!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the condo is only 2 km (a 15-minute walk) from the town square. There are a variety of restaurants, lots of souvenier shops, musical evenings during the high season, and in general a laid-back place to enjoy a vacation and just chill out. It is far from the hotel zone of Cancun in style and atmsophere, but close enough to Cancun and Playa del Carmen to be able to go there for shopping (WalMart, Sams, Costco, etc).

Charles & Lucy Farrar are the owners of #4 Costa Blanca, located in a quiet residential area on the beach in Puerto Morelos,MX. They have 7 adult children and too many grand-children and great-grands to count! Puerto Morelos claimed them in 1996 when they purchased their first small condo in Villas Playasol. After retiring from their busy real estate business, they needed more room to accommodate Charles' lounge chair and the many visitors/family. The 1400 sq ft 2nd story condo in Costa Blanca was the perfect answer, with killer views of the ocean & reef. They stay in Puerto Morelos for 3 months in the winter and come back and forth during the rest of the yesr between their mountain home/alpaca ranch in Monument, CO and like it so well they are building a 4-bedroom/5 bath house on the beach only two lots south of the condo. Both places will be for rent and the house is expected to be complete in September 2009, with it's own pool, cabana, and the same gorgeous views.
