Savannah’s Famous Wedding Cake Mansion on Monterey Square!!

One of Savannah’s most photographed and famous houses has just undergone multimillion $$ historic restoration. It is truely one of the finest homes on the South East Coast. It is now available as a luxury vacation and corporate rental. Live in the lap of Luxury that few experience on Monterey Square in one of the country's most magical cities.

The prized "Wedding Cake House" is the jewel of Monterey Square. The historical square was made famous from being featured in the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". Monterey Square is unquestionably the most beautiful square in Savannah. The square is graced by mansions on all corners, draped in Spanish moss and anchored with historic monuments. As guests of the Wedding Cake Mansion, you get to enjoy the views of the square from the comfort of this amazing historic masterpiece.

This 1869 2nd Empire Baroque Home takes your breath the minute you see it. The elaborate white bay window is so ornately decorated with stained glass windows and ornamental iron work that the long time residents of savannah have always said it resembles an elegantly decorated "wedding cake". This architecture is very unique to Savannh with only a few examples in the Historic District. The French influence is carreid throughout the house with french antiques, art and decor. The bathrooms are the definition of Luxury. The marble master bath has a custom stained glass window over the 6 foot air bath, French fixtures, double vanities, two person shower and a wall of mirrors to make this the lavish escape only found in multi-million $ estates. The remaining bathrooms have such odornments as Italian mosaics, antique vaniites, hand painted murals, body sprays, - too much to list!!!. One special bathroom has been coined "The Glamour Bath" -seeped in 1940s glam and opulance. Lay in the 6 ft soaking tub while overlooking Monterey Square. It just doesn't get any better!!

The courtyard is a special oasis with a fountain graced by a marble statue from Italy. Beautiful lanscaping and seating make this the perfect spot for relaxing in luxury.

  • We were very happy with our recent Savannah's vacation, staying at Wedding Cake House. The ease of using the VRBO on line information and reservation process was a pleasant surprise as we had never rented that way before. The written information supplied by the owner, on access, amenities, what to do, where to shop, best restaurants, etc., was very helpful and right on target. It was truly a trouble-free rental process. Really nice 4 story house. Everything was in working order. Quality mattresses in beds. Plenty of pots, pans, toaster, plates... for cooking. Extremely clean and comfortable.Thank you for the wonderful stay!

  • What a beautiful Mansion! The location cannot be beat both for access to historical sites and to restaurants and bars. we had a great time and will return when we get a chance. The house is a great place to stay and very convenient for touring and eating opportunities. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is well appointed with top of the line appliances and great cookware. The beds were very comfortable as well. Don't miss the opportunity to stay in the heart of historic Savannah. We took some business cards to share with our friends and co-workers and will highly recommend that they book with you when they go to Savannah.

  • We stayed here for four days and it was the most enjoyable stay that we have ever had in Savannah. The location was one of the best, the view was fantastic and the house was beautiful. From the pictures on the website I had expected it to be nice, but once we arrived we all agreed that they did not do it justice. Why would we stay anywhere else in the future. It was GREAT!

The property had everything we needed and more. Gourmet kitchens and luscious bathrooms. The location is great and the property was fantastic!

  • We rented the entire Wedding Cake Mansion for a family reunion and it was perfect. The location was great. The bathrooms are out of a magazine! The kitchen was so gorgeous we actually wanted to stay in the house and cook! We are going to make it an annual event.
