If staying in Key Largo make this home your choice. We had a wonderful time with our family enjoying the outside ( BBQ area) of the home as much as the inside. Lots of room, large kitchen, canal and private beach make the home even more appealing. They also have a great neighbor that is full of Key Largo knowledge and was very helpful. The owner was a pleasure to work with too. We will definitely be back later this year.

Great Time in Key Largo

Our Key Largo rental from Rosy was fantastic. Very clean, spotless, well maintained. Plenty of room. Well organized house with moden amenities and very workable kitchen. Great views from the balconies as house sits right on a canal. Nothing beats sitting on the balcony - morning or night, preparing for the day or winding down - watching sunrise or sunset and relaxing during this family vacation. Neighborhood very quiet and safe. Key Largo was central to everything we did for the 10 days, whether in mainland FLA or all along the keys, and this house is very accessible to Route 1. One feels so comfortable here that it only takes less than a day to get settled in and used to the layout. The outside cooking and dining below the house was very easy to use and enjoy. Cannot pay the owner enough compliments. Very friendly & professional, responsive to questions before and during our stay, and accommodating to our schedule. Rosy was a true joy to work with in setting this up at every stage of the process. Overall I give this a 10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend to others. One note on traveling the Keys - do not be shy to use Yelp to find excellent but inexpensive dining. It never let us down. the one time we did not use it we get stuck with an expensive, ordinary meal that wasn't really worthy to write home about. Up and down the Keys and into mainland FLA Yelp was spot in with recommendations.

Our group stayed at the house again this month. We had stayed before as my husband and I had talked so much about how wonderful Key Largo was that our brother, sister and their spouses told us to put our money where our mouths were. We were so fortunate to find this home to stay in and our family and extended family were sold. Not only did they love Key Largo, but we all fell in love with our accommodations. It is spacious and clean and the pride the owner takes in it is very obvious. It has 3 MASTER bedrooms (was really hard to find that) and each couple had the privacy they deserved. This is a great property if you want to do some sightseeing such as to Key West, Miami - close to everything including LOTS of shopping. If you just want to relax and sit around, there are spacious, comfortable indoor and outdoor areas. The women get off cooking detail because the men all want to use the outdoor grill on the covered lanai. My husband Leo even bbq'd ham steak for one breakfast. The girls chipped in an made scrambled eggs to go with it (not a hardship at all). Loved being waited on. Thank you Rosi for the rental of this wonderful home. I'm sure we'll be back. We can't wait! Wonderful FL Keys Home, Complete with Manatees!

As a group of friends all in our early 30s, our annual winter vacation is the one calendar fixture which we all take very seriously. After a 2012 trip to Colorado left us wanting warm sun and ocean breezes, we set our sights on the Florida Keys. A quick search on VRBO pointed us in the direction of Rosi's wonderful home in Key Largo, and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The numerous positive reviews and photographs of the home hardly do it justice, so I will just add some brief thoughts: -It's a HUGE, ORANGE place. Hard to miss, and harder still to fill up; the numerous bedrooms, bathrooms, and spacious living areas were more than enough to accommodate our entire group comfortably. -It's got an outdoor grilling/lounge area which overlooks a Florida Keys canal frequented by manatees. MANATEES. You would do well to spend your stay sitting outside, grilling, and marveling at those majestic sea critters; they visited us every single day on multiple occasions. -There's a great little private beach for the community a quick 5 minute walk from the house with white sand and a safe swimming area, something oddly hard to find on a string of islands like the Keys. -The house is in a community directly across Rt. 1 from a supermarket, a department store, a liquor store, and other local shops. Easily the most convenient location in all of Key Largo. -The owners were simply fantastic. Very friendly, easygoing, and respectful, they just want you to have a good time and enjoy their wonderful home. Rosi was never more than a text message away for any questions, leading up to the rental and during the stay; a true pleasure to work with. All in all, our 5 night stay exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would recommend Rosi's big orange house to anyone looking for some Florida Keys action. Only an hour from Miami Intl. and 2 hours from Key West, it's a perfect staging point for exploring all that the Keys have to offer. Oh, and one more thing: on the way back to the airport, be sure to check out the Everglades National Park in Homestead; if you like gators, the Anahinga Trail is chock full of them!

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! The beds were comfortable, sufficient bedding and towels were available, the whole house was spotlessly clean, and the AC worked perfectly. The outdoor kitchen was a big hit! We used it every day! The canal gave us almost daily entertainment watching the manatees and people slowly boating by. The beach was a couple blocks away and very nice, especially in the evening and early morning. Shopping was very close, complete with a K-mart and large Publix grocery store, as well as other smaller shops. In short, I recommend this VRBO to those looking for a quiet retreat, yet close to everything.

This house is beautiful! It is HUGE, super clean and modern with great amenities. The pictures on here don't capture it's true beauty. There were 13 of us that stayed here over Christmas and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The manatees showed up each day which made for a memory of its own. The outside decks and grilling area outside are great little areas to enjoy meals and to just relax outside. The beach was a easy walk and the fact that its private and secure is a huge bonus. Rosi takes good care of her house and everything she said was better than she explained! I really plan to come back to this exact home again. It was definitely well worth every penny and then some!

A group of us decided to rent a home in the Keys for the weekend before the big NASCAR Race and the weekend ended up being unforgetable. The home was absolutely amazing and the decor in the house was out of a home and garden page. We will definately recommend this rental House to all my family and friends and hope to return next year. Realaxing Island life

We where two families staying together. 4 adults and 4 children. There were comfortable beds for everyone. The house has a great kitchen and living room with a huge tv and comfortable seating. And an awesome outside area with a great barbecue setup. A little close to the canal for the smallest children but a nice place to have dinner and relax. The best part with this house was the private beach. It was just great to have a beach with very little crowd. All of us, both adults and kids had a great time.

The house is beautiful and excellent for a family gathering. We had family come in from Wisconsin for a wedding being held in Key Largo and it worked out perfectly. Lots of room, we were able to watch a manatee in the canal and enjoy the beach as well. The outdoor grilling area is wonderful. Loved all the balcony's and the decorating is very Florida. Exactly what we wanted and then some

What can I say that hasn't already been said. The house was absolutely gorgeous! The pictures of the house are great but they still do not do the home justice. A group of friends and I, all close to our 30's, rented from Rosy for a week and it was everything we had hoped for and more. The home has a boat slip that can accommodate up to a 30ft boat and a private boat ramp is literally a minute away. The ride through the intracoastal out to the ocean is awesome.We spent a lot of time on the covered patio with a full outdoor grill and two refrigerators. The neighbors are friendly and the scenery is great. I would reccomend this place for any age group as there are activities for all ages. It always help when you can rent from a person like Rosy. She worked with our every request and just allowed us to have a great week. We will see you again next year!

Our first time in the Usa ended with a 4 night stay in this beautiful house with all thinkable confort, great seaside themes and private beach and a dream bbq spot. Out trip started in Orlanda, via Miami to end in Key Largo, we only wished we has spend more time in Key Largo.

This is an excellent house to rent for a trip to the Keys. I am currently a Floridian and have been to the keys a number of times---always stayed in hotels. Never again ---this is the way to go. This year I had my family from North Carolina come down. My sister in law and neice in law loved the kitchen. My brother loved the outdoor grill and bar. The house is beautiful--my sister in law keep sending pictures back to her friends in North Carolina telling them that this was now going to be her annual vacation spot. My two teenage nephews loved the private beach and the close proximity to all the good places. Never again will I stay in a hotel in the Keys. The process of renting was easier than renting a hotel room. And the house was all that it had promised in the description.

Excellent house. I had my family come down from North Carolina for a trip to the keys. The decision to rent this house was one of the best ones we made. Location is excellent. There is an excellent patio bar and grill station. My sister in law and niece in law loved the kitchen. The house is beautifully furnished. The boys loved the fact that all bedrooms had TV's. There is a private beach just a short walk from the house, which the boys enjoyed snorkling. Definitely a 5 star rating. We hope to make this an annual vacation with this house being our home for a week,

Rosi is amazing!!! The house is gorgeous pictures don't even come close to showing the beauty of this house!!! My husband and I took our 8 children there for 2 weeks and it was just like she opened her home to us...the man in the blue house across the canal was so helpful and so wonderful showing our kids the manatee that swim up right in the canal.... This house is definitely amazing and you can't go wrong by renting it thank you so much Rosi for helping us make beautiful wonderful memories.... if you're looking for a gorgeous huge home in the perfect location this is the house for you!!!! Dutch retreat in the Keys

We just spent a week in Orlando visiting the Disney parks and Sea World, and definitely needed some peace and quiet. This house seemed everything we needed, and being Dutch an orange house would fit the bill. To be honest, the listing was too modest: the house is huge and much more spacious than expected (we could have fitted in another family with ease). The first day we actually got lost in all the rooms and balconies, and our children enjoyed playing in every room. Well equipped for any holiday purpose, and seemingly quite new remodeled it had everything except the dishwasher ! The house owner provided us with all information and any question we had were quickly answered by mail. We will definitely recommend this house to others who want to travel to the keys and enjoy a luxury stay with private beach. All required shops and things to do are in short distance, and we immediately felt at home in this super large vacation home ! The local manatees never did appear at our dock side, but we did manage to see some huge tuna at our private beach. Thanx for a great week at Key Largo, and if you go don't forget to put on sun protection !

In a word, FANTASTIC! I'm always skeptical when renting at a new destination but was very comfortable with Rosi and her awesome communication. From beginning to end we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was spotless and a joy to bring together lifelong friends. Thank you Rosi! You helped me with a successful mini-reunion. Neighborhood was safe, clean and very quiet. The only noise we dealt with was trash on Friday morning. Otherwise we enjoyed relaxing mornings on the deck overlooking the canal. Plenty of fish and birds to entertain you while sipping a cup of coffee. The nearby community beach is very clean and kept up. While we didn't have time to take it in, I highly recommend it to future renters. Can't say enough about this rental and, especially, Rosi! Thank you!

Magical Keys Family Fun in the Orange House!

Wanted to spend a warm spring break in the Keys with my family of five, but didn’t want to stay in a cramped hotel with 3 young children. A friend had recently visited the Keys and suggested booking through HomeAway. We were HomeAway rookies and weren’t entirely sure about the idea of staying in someone’s home. Plus, the whole payment disclaimer language made me think scams were more prevalent than I wanted to deal with. But, we found Rosi and her wonderful “Orange House,” as the kids called it. We were so glad we did! Here’s why… First, this home’s location is perfect. The house is on Key Largo, which is where we wanted to be. It is insanely close to Publix and to Pennekamp State Park. It was the perfect base camp for our outings south, visiting Bahia Honda (definitely our vote for best beach/water fun in the Keys – no yucky grass) or Theater of the Sea (which was better than expected). And north, as we visited Miami to check out Jungle Island (also another better-than-expected surprise), and the Seaquarium. Note though…your GPS may say 45 minutes or so to Miami, but in reality, in off-peak traffic, it took about 90 minutes to get to our destinations. Second is the house itself. It is very spacious, with a monstrous kitchen (minus a dishwasher…time to upgrade Rosi!) and an amazing bottom floor patio with access to the canal – and the manatees! Bring some fresh romaine lettuce home from the grocery store on your first night, just in case you are lucky enough to get a visit from the manatees right away. Also, they love fresh water, so when you see them in the canal, turn the hose on really low and they will come over to have a drink. That’s the perfect time to feed them some romaine lettuce and gently slide into the canal to have a swim with them. My 7 year old thought this was the highlight of the trip and the pictures of this adventure were better than any souvenir! Ask the locals across the canal (Doyle in the blue house is super helpful) when the manatees have been coming around as they seem to favor a routine. Third was the private beach around the corner of the house. It is shallow, the water calm, and perfect for little ones. All three of my offspring were in heaven. We saw dolphins not more than 30 feet from the shore every time we ventured down. It’s not comparable to Bahia Honda, but I’d say it is very similar to the two small beaches you find at Pennekamp. I could go on, but have zero characters remaining...

What a wonderful home!

Everything is as Rosi has explained! Her home was immaculate! Her neighbors and the entire neighborhood are very friendly. The snorkeling at the private beach is full of marine life. There is a famers market to the right as you exit the development that is amazing, the vegetables and fruit are so juicy and flavorful. Mrs. Macs Kitchen and Cafe Largo were two restaurants that we went to that were both very good. The Key Lime pie and alligator bites at Mrs Macs Kitchen were both very good! Dolphins Cove, John Pennekamp State Park, and Everglades National Park were just 3 of the activities that we did while vacationing in Key Largo. All were well worth going again. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely return. Rosi always got back to us with any questions we asked and everything went so smooth during the rental proces. We have been coming here now for 2 years twice a year and staying in this awesome home for 2 weeks. Our last visit was this past February and as usual our expectancy was the best and foremost spectacular. We could not get enough of the great location and the amenities that this home has to offer us all. We are a big family and at the same time have the space that we each need. Our kids love coming back to the "Big Orange House" as they call it! They love the manatees as Pets for their stay here!

This was a very comfortable home,beautiful furnishings, great kitchen, large grilling area, clean and maintained. The owner was very helpful, I would defintely recommend this property to my friends. We enjoyed the visits from the manatees, there was plenty of restaurants and activities such as snorkling, diving, swimming with, dolphins, etc. We enjoyed Key Largo!

Everyone had a great time! We spent the whole day in key west on Sunday. It is a real nice house, with nice neighbors. The manatees were a big hit. Thanks for sharing you home with us.

The pressure was on! My boyfriend's mother, his brother and family of five were visiting from Germany and Spain. What luck that I found such a wonderful warm home with every amenity one could desire to bring them to! The owners were responsive and wonderful at every juncture. The location was perfect to go snorkeling at John Pennycamp or eating at some nearby great restaurants, And I came out looking like a rose! Thanks Rozy. In my extensive traveling, I have never enjoyed such a relaxing vacation, as I did in this BEAUTIFUL, clean and modern home. Rosi's write up does not do her home justice- everything was simply perfect. From friendly neighbors to manatees in the channel to grilling on their fabulous grill -our family was able to enjoy all the Florida Keys have to offer. Our large family had just the right amount of space to enjoy our vacation without being on top of each other. The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. I would recommend this home to anyone considering visiting Key Largo or the Florida Keys in general. We plan on making a return visit!! Thank you Rosi and Oscar for sharing your lovely home!!

My first visit was for a writing retreat. My second visit was a vacation with friends. The house was perfect for both events. We enjoyed cooking meals in the large kitchen, playing with the manatees in the boat slip behind the house, watching movies and playing video games on the large TV in the living room, and just relaxing. The house is very warm, inviting and comfortable. It is also very close to lots of great stuff in Key Largo. We went on a glass-bottom boat ride and ate at some delicious restaurants (we recommend the Conch House just down the road). I highly recommend this house, especially if you are trying to accommodate a large group of people.

This house is AWESOME!

We were very impressed by the house when we arrived. It looked even better in person then in the photos! It is very close to the grocery store too, which is a plus. The private beach is not the greatest for swimming, but we were able to see dolphins swimming near by. We were very impressed by the house and would recommend this house to our family and friends.

Stayed at this house with 5 adults and had a great stay. House was emmaculate, rooms were spacious and well appointed but the best features were the back porch and back deck. Great place to relax. Definitely plan on a cookout if you stay at this house.

Perfect getaway

Lovely house. I planned a weekend getaway for 7 guests for a friend's wedding locally. Rosi was great at helping set this up and was willing to work with us for just a two night stay. The house was perfect for what we wanted. We had two couples (so the two bedrooms with private baths were ideal). There were three others who shared the remaining two bedrooms with shared bath. The living space and kitchen were huge. The back/downstairs patio with grill station was amazing as well. Free wireless internet which helped make a few business related emails on our iPads & laptops. Didn't check out the nearby beach on such a short stay. Clearly the nicest house in the neighborhood; at first wasn't sure what we were getting into having to drive through a trailer park! But the house, landscaping, patio and waterway were all beautiful. Friendly neighbors & manatees in the back waterway! Supermarket right around the corner. Thanks again - the house was perfect for us!

Exactly What We Wanted!

My family had booked the house to celebrate my grandparent's 60th anniversary. Half the family is from Philadelphia and the other half is from Florida - but everyone wanted to spend the weekend together on an "adventure." So, we decided to spend the weekend in Key Largo. 1 set of grandparents, 2 sets of parents, and 1 set of grandchildren (my wife and I) all had to fit comfortably, so as to feel like a family, but not be on top of one another. This house was the perfect choice! Whether it was playing cards around the dining room table, making dinner in the huge kitchen (or on the huge grill outside), or sitting out on one of the 4 balcony's sipping a cocktail - the house just felt like home. And what made the experience even better was Rosi (if you rent the house, you'll get to know her) helping us out all along the way to make sure everything was as it should be. We can't wait to go back - and knowing it's a mere 70 minute drive from Miami Beach, I'm sure my wife and I will head back down with our friends very soon.

Spectacular Vacation Home

This house is far beyond words to explain! My family stayed at this lovely home for a week in September. The location of the house which is in the entrance of the Florida Keys (so not to far to drive), the attractions in the area, the variety of restaurants to choose from, the amount of different activities to do as well. One of the favorite things that we did as a family was swimming with the Dolphins. It was an amazing experience for the kids and then if we thought this was not enough we had the amazing experience with the Manatees right behind the house and we were able to swim and feed them as well. What an unforgetable experience! We went down to Key West for the day and that was a nice adventure and got to experience the outdoor bar hopping and street shopping that Key West provides. The outside grilling area was very nice to come home too at the end of a tired day out on the beach or on tours. We cooked and hung out under the house area and the nights breeze was far beyond words! The house has all of the amenities that you could need as if you were in your own home and more. Nice TV's!!!! The rooms were perfect and the bathrooms spacious. We were all together and at the same time we felt that we all had our privacy when needed. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect vacation home in Key Largo. Rosi, the owner was fabulous to work with as well. Always very attentive of our needs and concerns and eager to answer any questions we had regarding what to do and where to eat. A couple of nights we cooked out the fish we had fished on that day. We went out on 2 charter and caught some nice Mahi and Snappers. We can honestly say that the experience and the memories that our family (specially the children) created here this week, will be longly remembered. Thanks Rosi again. Great Vacation Home

There are so many things I want to say about this great vacation home. Our family spent a wonderful week here in Paradise!! There is so many things to do all around the area, from fishing, snorkeling, diving, parasailing and not to forget the great variety of restaurants all around the areas. Pennekemp is an amazing place to do so many different things. But the best thing was to come home at night and relax and enjoy the fabulous outdoor grill area and the quiet surroundings that they entail. Also the highlights of the days were the Manatees that showed up on a daily basis to eat and drink water from us right behind the house. It was like having pets for the week... The house is extremely open and spacious and the rooms are big and we all were able to be together and at the same time have our own spaces to be alone if needed. The house is so equipped with everything that you may need on a vacation away from home. The house was more nicer than the pictures that are on the website. The house was also so clean and very nicely decorated. The only thing you needed to bring was your clothes and food. I also want to thank the owner, Rosi, for being so courteous and helpful in any questions that we had along the way. I strongly recommend this house to anyone with a family and a need to get away for a nice relaxing vacation. We will definitely be back there again as soon as we can. Thanks again!!!

Great Relaxing Summer Home

I want to start off by saying that my immediate family stayed at this lovely home in August. I can also say the the lovely pictures that the owner has on the website do not do justice for the real "deal" in the house. This home is equipped with all the comforts, needs, stuff that you would expect in your own home and more to be exact. From the decor of the beach house to the hi tech tv's and all of the ameneties that this house boasts, you can only imagine that this is just like home away from home or maybe even more for some of us. We dont even have these comforts in our own home. The location of the house is close to everything you can imagine and want to be close too on a vacation. You have great restaurants with so many food choices. Fishing, diving, snorkeling, parasailing, are amongst the activities that you can enjoy while you are there. The most amazing part of the evening was coming back home after a tiring enjoyable day out is to come home and relax and grill in the outdoor kitchen and relax with a glass of wine. Another highlight was the manatees that would greet us every morning while we were there. This is a home that we will definitely recommend to everyone as well as come back to as soon as we can.. Thanks Rosi for all of your hospitality and friendliness ways.

Short time in Paradise

I want to make this review short and sweet! I think that this house has all of the amenities and qualities that anyone is looking for being away from home. This house has everything you can need from comfort, spacious rooms and nice bathrooms, stocked kitchen, fresh towels, fresh linens, etc... All you need is your clothes and food and ready to relax and enjoy what Paradise has to offer. My family of 10 spent the first week of August in this home and I can tell you that we could not have expected more than we received from the home accomodations to the friendliness and courtesous respectful attention we received from Rosi, the owner. The manatees outside the back of the house was a plus as well. I could not believe the way they interacted with our children. It is truly a paradise home and we will spread the news and memories that this house left us to all of our friends and family members. Rosi, we will be back soon for sure! Thanks again

The Perfect Getaway Home

I dont know where to start to talk about this home from of all of the amenities and exciting stuff that there is in this wonderful "Getaway Home". Well, let me start by saying that the house is more than it looks like in the pictures that are posted. These pictures give no just to this house. The accomondations are spectacular from the space in each of the rooms to the convenience of the bathrooms to the rooms as well. The kitchen/dining/family room area is amazing to where you can all be together when you cook, eat and watch tv all in one group as a Family on Vacation". At the same time, there is so much space that you can also pull away and spend your quality alone time, if needed. The 4 balconies that the house has also gives you the sense that you are at the beach away from home and in a paradise place. The outside grilling area is great for those nights that you come home from wherever you spent the day (there is so much to do there in Key Largo) and just cook out and rest and enjoy the nights calm quiet breezes coming from the canal area. And lets not forget the attraction to the house is the Manatees that come to visit while you are there and become your local pets for the week. I highly recommend this home to everyone that wants an amazing getaway with family and friends and children or maybe a romantic getaway just the two of you..... I also need to point out the hospitality that the owners, Rosi and Oscar offer the renters. They make you feel right at home and at times like "Family". Thank you guys so much and we will be back next year for sure with the extended family who missed out on this years vacation. Thanks again

Third time in Paradise !!!!

I just wanted to share that this is our 3rd year coming back to this Paradise Home for 1 week with our entire family! The kids just love to come down here and we spend an awesome week here in this house that has all of the ameneties of home and more. There is a spacious outdoor island kitchen that is great for relaxing after a day out on the beach, boating, fishing or doing whatever you want to. There is so much to do here in Key Largo. The kids really look forward to the Manatees that are your pets for the time that you are there. They are amazing to swim with and pet and feed lettuce too. The house is so spacious and accomodating for all of the family and more than 1 family at the same time. We come every year and every year get what we expect from our vacation time and more. We look forward to coming out on our vacation here in Rosi's house year after year. Thank you Rosi

Very Impressed!!!

Where do I begin? Well, I guess I should start by stating how satisfied I am with the entire experience of the rental of this house. From the location, to the space and décor, to the customer service from the owner, Rosie, everything was an absolute pleasure. This beautiful home is very conveniently located. There is a shopping plaza just across the main highway (about ¼ mile away), which includes a Publix grocery store, a Kmart, and several food shops. There are also many restaurants nearby. So, although the house comes with a fully stocked kitchen, this makes food choices a breeze! Just a few blocks away, there is a private beach (specifically for the neighborhood residents), which includes a boat ramp and a fishing dock. This makes the ocean very easily accessible. We definitely enjoyed the beach with our family and were very happy that we could launch our boat close to the house. Not only could be launch the boat close by, but we were also able to park it in the rear dock of the house. Talk about convenience! The house itself is decorated very nicely and tastefully. All rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms are equipped with bed sheets, pillows, and comforters and the bathrooms with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The kitchen is a very nice size with an eat-in counter. The kitchen is also open to the dining and living rooms, lending itself to entertaining. My encounters with Rosie were very pleasant. She answered any and all questions I had. She went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed to ensure a pleasant stay. She is quite a character too! Very funny! In general, my family and I truly enjoyed our experience in Key Largo due to the wonderful rental we found here. I would recommend this house to anyone, and would DEFINITELY rent it again in the future!

OUR BOAT WAS JUST 20 FT FROM THE BACK OF THIS WONDERFUL HOUSE IN KEY LARGO.THE HOUSE HAS AN INDOOR AND OUTDOOR KITCHEN GREAT FOR BIG FAMILIES.WE COOKED OUT MOST NIGHTS.WE HAD A MANATEE VISIT US A FEW DAYS IN THE CANAL.JUST DOWN THE STREET IS A BEACH AND BOAT RAMP JUST FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.VERY QUIET & PRIVATE AREA.EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED IN RENTAL FROM TOWELS TO SOAP.JUST BRING FOOD & YOUR SWIM SUIT.JOHN PENNEKAMP STATE PARK ,GROCERY STORE & RIB DADDYS (GREAT BREAKFAST,DINNER) ARE JUST A FEW MILES AWAY--OWNERS ARE GREAT--SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.THANKS FOR A GREAT VACATION

Great Home for family reunions

We want to thank Rosi, the owner, for giving our family the most wonderful home for a reunion. It is perfect with 4 bedrooms each equipped with tvs. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking big time. Add to this the grill below, and balconies overlooking a canal complete with manatee swimming by, and you have something for everyone. For more entertainment there is John Pennekamp State Park 5 minutes down the road. Our family had a great week.

I want to thank Rosi, for providing such a beautiful experience for our family. The house was a perfect fit, and well equipped. The kitchen had all the necessities, the bedrooms all had tvs, and the view from the deck overlooked the canal where we could see manatees swimming often. We plan on continuing the tradition of getting all the families together at Rosi's.

What a lovely home, so-o-o-o clean and spacious!! It was perfect for our families (7 persons). The outdoor grill and dining area was really nice. Your neighbor, Doyle, was such a pleasure. During our stay, the grandkids had an opportunity to swim with the manatees, of which they loved. The home is located within minutes of snorkling, fishing, shopping, and great restaurants. Rosi, thank you for being so helpful with any questions or needs as they arose. We did miss the dishwasher however, what with eating in most days. Although I do understand the "relaxing-not working" incentive. Rosi, as we love to cook and certainly did during our stay, having a few "sharp" knifes would have been nice, and I'm sure with as many renters as you have you can't keep "sharp" knives. We made do though and had a fabulous time. If we ever consider Key Largo in the future, we have you in our address book. Thanks again for everything!!!!!!!!!!

Short time in Paradise

My family and I just spent a week at this amazing home in June. We were 10 of us and the house was perfect with all the amenities that we all needed and enough room to be together and at the same time have our space. We spent the days out and about doing numerous activities including a day trip to Key West. This is a must do for everyone! In addition, our evenings were all filled with relaxing outdoors by the outside grilling area that has all of the accomodations that you need. The morning were filled with greetings from the Pet Manatees behind the house and the kids just loved that time of the day the most. They fed them and swam with them as well. It has been the most amazing and fun filled vacation we have taken in a long time with our entire family. This house is great for a Family Reunion.... I want to thank Rosi as well. She was most courtesous and was on top of everything all of the time for us, making sure we did not need anything. Rosi, thank you and I want you to know that we are already planning for another yearly reunion at your place next year!!

Fabulous Place for a getaway

My family and I stayed at this great house over the Memorial Weekend. It was far beyond what we expected from the house and the surroundings. The house was so comfortable for all of us to be together and at the same time to be apart and have our own free space time. The dock in the back gave us the opportunity to bring our boat and get in and out of it in a heart beat. The private beach was great and super safe for the small children to run around in and play. The house has all of the comforts from home and then some. Everything was new and clean and very nicely decorated and so organized throughout. Rosi was great to deal with. She followed us thru the whole process and checked in on us when we got there and then when we left to make sure that we had a great time. Dont worry Rosi, we will be back again next year. We have found a new Home Away From Home!!!! I rate this house a 5 star Plus!!!! Oh and I cant forget, the Manatees showed up to greet us one the days. What amazing animals!!!

We stayed at this lovely home for a weekend in May with our immediate family and children. It was awesome to wake up in the morning and to smell the ocean breeze right outside the balconies and to see the Manatees come right up to the back of the house to say "Hello". The house is more than we expected it to be. It was nicely accomodating and very clean and definitely what we wanted and more as far as roomy and spacious for our big family. Thank you Rosi for all of your attention to us and for making us feel right at home.

Paradise for Sure

I stayed at this property in May with my family and friends. It is truly an amazing place to spend time in the sun and enjoy a beach house with all the amenities of home and more. We did so many activities while we were there and were also close to the house. We went snorkeling at Pennekamp, went parasailing, rented jet ski's, went fishing on a charter with the cousins. It was just an amazing time! Then after spending all day out during activities or just lounging at the private beach which was great specially for the kids, we grilled outside on the outdoor kitchen area and just spent the cool nights breezes hanging out there. This is truly Paradise! When I grow up I want to live there!!! (LOL). We are planning to come back already next year with the family and the kids again. Rosi, thank you so much for your hospitality and for offering us and sharing your true paradise home with us. It takes alot to have someone trust their pride and joy to strangers. We will keep in touch and we will see ya next year for sure...

Fabulous Weekend away from Home

We spent the weekend at this awesome house with our friends and families. It was so nice to have room that we could be together and at the same time be apart if needed. Our time here was short but we are planning to come back again next year with more time for sure. The house is located close to everything we wanted, fishing, snorkeling, diving, great restaurants, and most importantly a great outdoor island kitchen area where we relaxed at nite and just hung out. The neighborhood is quiet and most relaxing. It is an ambience away from home for sure. You can get used to this type of lifestyle quickly!! Thank you Rosi for being so courtesous and helpful with us on information about the surroundings. We will be back next year for sure!

Good property, difficult landlady

We really enjoyed spending the weekend at this house (esp. the manatees and the downstairs BBQ area). It was clean and pretty spacious, other than the BR upstairs with the bunk bed + twin bed (max. 12 m2, so not a lot for 3 people - but ok for just crashing. The queen & king BRs were very large and nice). Kitchen had ok equipment but very dull knives - tried to sharpen them, didn't work (understandable for a rental - but do bring your own knife if you want to cook). That said, I would not rent this house again b/c of the interactions with Rosi. Albeit being responsive, she was quite distrustful and pushy. I was planning the weekend with friends across continents so we usually needed a few days to align before getting back to her. She would often push me for an answer if I didn't email back the same day. Also, Rosi asked a/b the exact number & ages of people over and over again. We signed a lease for 12 adults and promise to be max. 12, so isn't this enough info? Our checkout was on a Sunday - Rosi insisted we be out by 11. Having stayed up late Sat night and wanting to minimize food waste, we scrambled to fix brunch for everyone, eat and pick up as much as we could by 11. We didn't manage to do the dishes or throw away all the unfinished food, so yes the kitchen and dining room were not tidied up, it looked like any kitchen after a meal (there were also unopened packages of food & drinks in the fridge - thought someone could use those) We trusted that all would be fine since we already paid the cleaning fee and there was NOTHING in the lease that spelled out what that fee would or would not cover. BIG MISTAKE: we didn't sign a formal handover. Rosi threw a fit after the weekend ("I cannot believe that anyone after being offered the opportunity of staying at this nice, clean private house, can leave such a disgusting filthy mess") deducted $200 from our deposit (even if this hadn't been covered by the cleaning fee, at an hourly rate of $10-15 that would be 13-20 hrs of cleaning time. I could have cleaned the kitchen+dining area by myself in 2-3 hours). She screamed at me on the phone, asking how old I was (not sure what that had to do with anything), how my parents had taught me a/b leaving other ppl's private property after staying over (wait, this is a rental I paid for, not my aunt's house - and didn't we have a written lease?) In the end I got tired of arguing with her, so we settled on a $125 penalty. Still completely unjustified based on the contract.

Owner response: I am Totally APPAULED AND SHOCKED! at this renters comment. This is nothing but pure Disrespect to an Owner who offered, opened and trusted her home to them with wide open arms! When she first inquired about the property and the rental she was hesitant on how many people she was bringing. She kept going back and forth on how many for several days. We have had in the past a couple of bad and rough experiences with Spring Breakers and we are very hesitant to renting to younger crowds due to these incidents. So therefore, I as the owner of said property and having the right to inquire these questions, was very insistant on the amount of people and the ages. When you start off by getting inaccurate answers and not so convincing answers, you might just start to question a little more and be a bit concerned. Well, anyways they rented the house and as it is very CLEARLY states on the contract the check-in and check-out times as they would be in any other establishment, everyone needs to abide by those rules. There should be NO excuses for not having time to clean up after yourselfs or your party. When our cleaning crew walked into the house they were in shock as to the people that have been staying there for just 2 days. There was food on the kitchen table served in plates and left there as well. There was dirty dishes in the sink with food everywhere on the counters and all over the whole kitchen, including pans on the stove with egg shells, meats, vegetables, etc all over the stove and in unopened containers. Milk left in glasses on the kitchen table, etc. I cannot imagine myself being given the opportunity of renting a house from another person and disrespecting them like that by not picking up the common things that make sense like unsused or uneaten foods from the kitchen table and counters and at least throwing them away in the garbage which is provided to them FREE of charge. When I approached her about the incident she starting ranting on about the contract not be cleared on not being able to leave food on the counters and all over the kitchen. I DONT think that needs to be clarified on any contract. It is common sense!!!!! I was very disapointed in the outcome of this rental and I am sure that the future renters will understand this concept and incident that has happened in our home. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE to me or even assuming anyone else to rent to people with this mentality or concept. I am not interested in these types of renters. Thanks, Rosi

This house is absolutely wonderful for your vacation getaway. This was my first opportunity to rent a home in Key Largo and I am so glad that I found Rosi and her gorgeous home! Rosi makes the process so easy and care free, thank you Rosi! This house is everything listed and more and will not be disappointed. Myself along with 6 other adults stayed in the house and had plenty of room. The property is well cared for, the neighbors are spectacular and the views and atmosphere are amazing. Thank you Rosi for letting us stay in your beautiful home, we cannot wait to return!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
