Beautiful, Quiet, Comfortable, Great Location

My husband and I stayed here for a week in early April 2011, just in time for the cherry blossoms. I had lived in the D.C. area for over 25 years and had friends who lived in D.C. and Georgetown area. This, by far, is the best location for any traveler wants to experience the best of what D.C. has to offer. A five minute walk to the Metro, a two-minute walk to restaurants, bars, grocery store, and drug store. You can even walk to museums on the Mall in about 25 minutes. If you are staying here on a Sunday, you must go to the Dupont Circle farmer's market and stock up on provisions. The apartment was delightful and the pictures on VRBO are accurate. Clean, comfortable, very quiet and felt like home the minute we walked in. (The only negative was that the kitchen could use some newer/better cookware, but not enough of a negative that we'd take away a star.) There were plenty of handy guidebooks, menus and books to peruse in the bookshelves. The bed was comfy and the washer/dryer came in handy. The owners even provided a laptop computer to use! Of course, parking is always problematic in D.C., but we did our best to adjust and found a few creative ways to make having a car in D.C. work for us. (If you chose to use a parking garage, the cheapest way was to park in the parking lot under the Giant grocery store (off Connecticut Avenue & Veazey Street) next to the Van Ness Metro Station and take the Metro back to Dupont Circle.) Chris and Candice were responsive and left plenty of information and suggestions for your stay in D.C. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family!

Clean & well equipped unit in safe, convenient, quiet, friendly neighborhood

I stayed at this unit from May 14-18 and then returned again May 24-27. Candice was responsive to all emails and any inquiries I had. She made herself available during my stay, yet was un-intrusive. The unit itself is exactly as described and shown in the photos; very clean, exceptionally well maintained and equipped. The bedroom is spacious compared to most and while the kitchen and bath are not large, they are not cramped and they are sufficiently sized to serve their purpose. The location of this unit is in my opinion it's strongest point because of the friendly neighbors, quiet evenings, safe sidewalks, and is extremely convenient to great restaurants, entertainment, and transportation. This unit is within EASY walking distance to all that you may need, yet it is away from the noise of busy streets. Within just two blocks of walking you can expect to encounter at least 10 places to eat, CVS, Safeway, coffee shops, bars/nightclubs, dry cleaners, a playhouse theater, a park, the Red Line Metro, art galleries, bookstores, fitness clubs, and MORE! If you're not up for walking or using the metro, there is no shortage of taxi cabs that frequent the area. I felt completely safe both in and outside of this unit and was comfortable walking in the area during day and evening hours. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to others and would definitely be willing to stay here again. I think this unit would especially appeal to a single/business traveler or a couple looking for a cozy retreat after the end of a long day touring DC. If you choose to stay here, don't worry if you forget your DC tour guide books; there are plenty available in the unit along with a huge selection of other reading materials for your convenience.

Wonderful Place to Stay in DC

We stayed here for a week earlier this month and the place was outstanding! The apartment had everything...and more...anyone could want. The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed the proximity to both Safeway and Whole Foods. Some great restaurants were only a few blocks away, as was the Dupont Circle Metro station. The street was lovely and very quiet. We would definitely recommend DC PerDiem to others....thank you for a great stay!!

We spent a week in DC and we loved this very special apartment in Dupont Circle! Everything was as promised, close to Metro, shops, restaurants, markets and more. This apartment was very quiet and we felt safe at all times. We enjoyed the variety of books, modern kitchen, laptop/internet, washer, dryer and extra TP and paper towels! We were provided with all the ammenities we needed. Thumbs up! First rate! We will definetly recommend DC Per Diem to friends and we will stay here when visiting DC again in the future! My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. The accommodations were great. The apartment was very comfortable and is located in a very nice part of the city. People were always walking day and night, which was a nice change from Los Angeles. The apartment is centrally located and only 2 blocks from the Metro station with access to all parts of the city. There was a Safeway market a couple of blocks away and some very good restaurants within a block or two. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location near the Metro at Dupont Circle and everything else that we needed. The apartment was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable and in a nice safe neighborhood. We walked the city streets at night and felt like a we belonged!

Clean, well furnished one bedroom apartment near DuPont Circle. Great internet, television, tons of books, one block to restaurants and grocery stores. Shaded, quiet neighborhood. About 3 blocks to the Metro, easy to get around DC. We loved it, recommend it to anyone who likes a homey atmosphere as well as easy access to all the amenities.

We had a wonderful time in DC, in large part due to this special apartment in Dupont Circle. The place is truly centrally located. We loved the busy activity on 17th St. (the end of the block) and the myraid restaurants within walking distance. The Metro is two blocks in the other direction. DC is a grand vacation spot, and we are anxiously awaiting our next trip to DC Perdiem.

I travel for business once a quarter to DC and always stay at DCPerdiem. It is clean, comfortable, affordable, and close to the metro and my work. This beautiful apartment on a quiet street in the heart of a busy city is like a relaxing retreat. I find shops and resturants nearby, and never lack for things to do with a fast internet connection and cable TV. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wishes to spend more than just a few days in DC!
