We retired to North Georgia and thought it would be fun to have a vacation rental to keep us busy and have some responsibilities to keep us from getting too lazy! We love the area and enjoy having others share in the tranquility of the mountains. We consider it a priviledge to be able to provide a get-away place that is desirable and comfortable.

This location is very convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Everything you need is within a four mile radius.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
If you just want to relax and enjoy the sounds of the wild and water this is the place for you. A nap in the hammock down beside the water is so relaxing and peaceful.

Does not get any better than this. Bring your own drinking water as the well has high iron content which won't hurt, but does not taste great. Ice and showers are filtered and great. The mixture of old-time-charm and up-to-date charm is great. Enjoy the katydids singing at night in concert with the rushing Nottely river sounds. Centrally located to Blue Ridge and Hiawassee with reasonable places to eat. BYOB until the new liquor law takes effect Ahhhhhhh!!!

We spent 10 glorious days at Owl Creek Retreat with our 6 yr old granddaughter. The home is spacious, well accomodated and very clean! Located at a dead end and bordered by both a creek and river, who could ask for more? We woke to cool June mornings, having breakfast on the porch, listening to the rushing water. Afternoons were spent in the water. We literally had trout swim between us in the river! And they were big enough for supper!! The ownwers were most kind, checking on our comfort within hours of arriving. They even graciously offered to return to us towels we had left in the laundry.We went horse back riding, white water rafting and sight seeing. Lunch at the famous Smith House in Dahlonega is an easy drive. I would recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a fun place to stay.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful retreat for a very short three night stay. We have stayed in many rentals throughout the state of Georgia, and this was by far the most pleasing. We had a couple of relaxing afternoons down by the river, threw out a couple of fishing poles, and to our surprise caught several fish, without even trying, while listening to the Georgia Bulldog's football game. The house is set up in such an excellent way, two couples can have the privacy they wish. Upstatirs living area is large enough with plenty of comfortable sitting a complete family, The kitchen is fully stocked with all you cooking needs. We plan to go back soon for additional R&R. You can not find a better place than Owl Creek Retreat to just kick back. Located at the end of a street at the River & Creek's edge you hear nothing but the flowing water. Jay & Marcia, Macon, GA
