Our family reunion in this beautiful and relaxing house went wonderfully. The owners were a joy to work with and the cabin had everything we needed to celebrate two birthdays and get in some days of fabulous skiing. Fortunately, it snowed while we were there so the cross country skiers could go right from the cabin. The cabin worked well for us with plenty of parking, snow shoes provided, a well stocked kitchen and lots of firewood. So cozy and great to sit in the hot tub overlooking a frozen lake! Close to Whistler but without the traffic and noise. The bakery at Function Junction was a highlight as well.

The location of the cabin and the cabin itself is amazing. It is perched overlooking a beautiful lake with view of the mountains beyond. Sit on the large deck or lounge on the small dock......when it gets too hot, jump in the warm lake or grab a kayak and go for a leisurely paddle down the lake. At night, you can sit in the hot tub and star gaze. There was always something to do for all ages. It is perfect for families and friends. The proximity to Whistler is perfect if you want to experience the village and shop or dine. For us, we never left the cabin area as it was a relaxing and fun place to be. The cabin is well appointed complete with a wine fridge which is a nice touch. Amazing time.....we will be back!

My family stayed at 44 Black Tusk for 6 nights this summer and had a great time! There were 4 adults and 4 children staying at the wonderful cabin. We found that the listing description completely reflected the cabin, it was clean, well maintained and well equipped. We really appreciated being able to bring our two dogs on vacation with us, I think that they enjoyed themselves just as much as we did! When we contacted the homeowner to ask a question, he was very helpful. We spent a lot of time in Whistler Village and visited some old haunts ... The Wild Wood Pacific Bistro at Whistler Racquet Club is still a favorite for brunch. We went up both Blackcomb and Whistler but this time we were able to use the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. We also made a great discovery ... the Whistler Olympic Park had literally just opened to the public and we had a fantastic time learning about the ski jump and testing our marksmanship with a traditional Biathlon rifle. Some other activities that our party enjoyed were : hiking, mountain biking, Ziptrek, afternoon tea at the Fairmont Chateau, shopping in Whistler Village etc. etc. However, at the end of a busy day it was lovely to get back to the calm of the cabin, take a canoe out on the lake or go swimming. There was also the hot tub, for those of us who were less energetic! We had to share the deck with an abundance of wildlife, a raccoon liked to visit in the evening and during the day there were chipmunks and numerous varieties of birds. Everyone is always so fascinated by the hummingbirds! We couldn't believe how many fondue sets there were about the cabin so we had to try a fondue meal. It was great fun cutting up the veggies & bread for the cheese fondue and the fruit for the chocolate fondue. It was even more fun eating it :-) We would recommend the cabin either for a restful break or an energetic vacation, it lends itself to whatever you want to do!

Within minutes of arriving the wood stove was crackling. Nothing beats a fire on a wintery day. Later martinis were enjoyed by all as we sat and marveled at the magnificent lake and mountain views afforded us through the many large windows. A feast was prepared and consumed. The kitchen and dining room lack nothing. Later we ventured outside to the jacuzzi and the awesome nightscapes. Lastly we retired to the lovely bedrooms and slept soundly. Each day that followed, whether we skied, hiked,or snowmobiled, we were always happy to return to this chalet its warmth, charm and character. And by the way, all the little things one expects or hopes for, such as cleanliness, towels, linen, firewood, comfortable chairs, games, exceeded our expectations.

This cabin was perfect for me and my friends to enjoy a home away from home on our ski trip. The setting is beautiful with the hot tub overlooking the lake. The home is very comfortable and has all the amenities one could ask for and more. We looked forward to this retreat after each day of skiing.

My wife and I have stayed at this property every year for the last 3 years and it is now permanently on our calendar. The pictures, as good as they are do not do the place justice. The new deck is large and the hot top is perfect for stargazing. There is great, peaceful kayaking on the lake just off of the semi private dock. Well stocked and maintained and a short drive to Whistler. We love our yearly stay. We've had up to 4 couples and it's still roomy. Good T.V and sound which is a bonus. Rosie and Bruce are always accommodating, available, and not far away if you need anything. Highly reco the place.

Welcoming, cozy, and had everything you need for cooking, hiking, housekeeping, entertainment, and a great sleep. Will reccommend this cabin to my friends in the states, and would love to return next summer! Especially loved the kayaks, and the view!

What a great weekend. You feel welcomed the second you walk in the door. The home is very well appointed with everything a family needs to relax and enjoy the weekend. The lake and surrounding neighbourhood invites you to get outside and get some exercise. Evenings with the family around the dinner table playing games topped off the day. Comfy beds and cosy slippers. Great weekend.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin is well appointed for cooking and relaxing. The hosts were very generous in sharing their home. The hot tub was much appreciated after the daily hikes. We enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Lots of room for socializing on the main floor and privacy in the sleeping area. This would be a comfortable spot for up to eight adults. we'll be back for sure.
