Affordable, Spacious, Cozy Condo in Heart of Olympic Village!
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Enjoy all the amenities of the Olympic Village with your friends and family in this large but cozy condo!
Nestled in a quiet community, the condo is within walking distance of all downtown shops, restaurants, bars and lakefront activities. You'll find all the modern features you'd expect, but your vacation home is furnished in a rustic, Adirondack style. Off-street parking is ample. Whether you visit in summer or winter, all your needs will be met in this comfortable, well-appointed home away from home.
You will enjoy plenty of space on 3 levels in the home, with a layout that is perfectly designed for your friends or family, assuming your group is like many others: wants your vacation to bring you together... but you still enjoy some quiet time apart! :-)
The main level has an open floor plan and houses the kitchen with breakfast bar, a powder room and sliding glass doors to a balcony/deck with mountain views and gas grill. The dining area features a table where a large group can easily sit for a feast or a rousing board game (games provided!). The comfortable living area has a new couch and loveseat for plentiful, yet cozy seating as you gather to watch one of the DVDs provided on the large TV. Or you can sip cocoa or wine as you warm up in front of the stone-facade gas fireplace (easy on, easy off!) after a day on the slopes.
When you can't stand the sight of each other anymore (hey, it happens to everyone on vacation!), the kids can have the run of the whole lower level where there is a bedroom (1 full bed and 2 twins), a separate sleeping den (queen sleeper sofa), a full bathroom (shower stall only) and the laundry facilities. The den has toys, kids books, an electronic dartboard, a TV, DVD player and a Sony Playstation with games. (Don't worry if your party is all adults -- the lower level is comfortable, quiet and cozy for the grown-ups too!) Meanwhile, the adults can retire a full 2 stories above, where the clatter of the kids fades away. The upstairs bedrooms -- 1 with a queen bed and the other with a queen and a twin -- both have TVs, plush carpeting, large closets and a shared bathroom with bathtub, and, best of all, peace, quiet and privacy.
We are confident you and your friends & family will enjoy your vacation in this Lake Placid condo and we look forward to having you return to your new home away from home in the Adirondacks year after year.

This was the first time I rented a home for vacation purposes. This condo is in a quiet neighborhood - enough out of the way from Main Street yet close enough to walk (.8 mile). The home is nicely decorated, spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen, toys for young children, WiFi, plenty of TVs, comfortable beds, washer/dryer & grill. We really enjoyed ourselves in Lake Placid and a big factor was the home. Thank you for leaving us w/good memories.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: The Sheils & Rathmills are originally from New Jersey. Two thirds of the family still lives there; the other third lives in Chicago. All enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks and Lake Placid.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid:
We have been vacationing in Lake Placid since 1980 and finally bought a place for our family to enjoy in 2007. We hope your family enjoys Lake Placid and returns year after year to make memories to last a lifetime!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
We love the winter activities in Lake Placid -- skiiing, skating, sledding. Coming back to the house for a cup of hot chocolate, a warm fire and board game is a great way to wind down. In the summer, it is an easy walk to the lake for swimming or into town for shopping, ice cream and a movie. We hope you enjoy your time in Lake Placid!
