This bear adventure brought the blue-eyed bear to beautiful Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California! Situated right on Big Bear Lake’s serene Boulder Bay with its very own private dock, this magnificent 4 bedroom, 3 bath vacation home had everything a bear needed for year round fun.
The two-level chalet style home has two decks that look out on to the crystal waters of Boulder Bay on Big Bear Lake. Inside, you’ll find two stone fireplaces, large sunken living room, flat Screen TVs, a fully equipped kitchen, and dining room. All the beds are cozy and comfortable and there are even two additional sleeping lofts for large family or group gatherings. The mountain décor brings a warm touch of home which is felt in each and every room. The homemade quilts encourage you to snuggle up around the fireplace. Play games at the large dining room table, or soak in the two-person Jacuzzi off the upper deck under the stars. The views from nearly every room are spectacular!
Local activities are endless in any season. The owners provide canoes, kayaks and a pontoon boat for use on the lake. You can take a refreshing swim or try your hand at fishing. Right at your door, there are mountain biking and hiking trails so you can explore the natural flora and fauna. The “village” is just down the road for shopping, strolling and night life. For winter time visits, there are skiing and snowboarding resorts within a very short drive. Also, there’s an Alpine slide and snow play areas nearby for the kids!
Just a quick two hour drive from San Diego or an hour from Orange County or Los Angeles, Big Bear is truly the perfect vacation destination. During my stay, we had all the conveniences for me to feel right at home.

That is healthy for everyone. We want people to be healthy because it makes people happy.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We have over stocked this home with everything we can think of to make your stay comfy, cozy and easy. Every kitchen toy we could buy, kitchen settings in paper, beautiful Corelle, China and Crystal for those weddings and anniversaries. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and neat. The fireplace even has a remote control so you can control the temperature of the house from any room. Even bed wetters can relax with the 6 bedwetter pads on site. Pets are welcome but we ask that you clean up their dropping and bring 3 extra towels per animal to dry them after they romp in the water and snow. We know you will enjoy yourself at the Boulder Bay Chalet.

As soon as the lake defrosts, about March the pelicans show up and start stealing the fish from the other birds all over the lake. They are big and beautiful to watch.

The cabin was a lot more beautiful than it looks. Our family had an awesome time! Having the boat, kayaks and canoes added more fun to our Memorial Day gathering. Thank you so much! We truly had a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful time -- especially with the 4 inches of snow that fell Saturday. The house is nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The location was perfect. The view was beautiful to us Texans from the Gulf Coast who are used to flat land and lots of humidity. It was a great three days.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! The house was immaculate. The views were impressive and the ski lifts were 5 minutes away. Great dining and a fun atmosphere really added to the enjoyment.

Nancy/April, We had a fantastic stay for 5 Nights over the Christmas Holidays. The house is great! You've really thought of everything, holiday decorations and all. Very clean, beds clean, everything clean! We liked it so much, we're coming back in Feb for more snowboarding & Aug for the Summer plunge and swim out to the Island.

Hi Nancy, Canoeing was fun!! We used 2 bedrooms: the master and the downstairs bedroom. All sheets have been washed. We remade the downstairs beds, but then realized we had forgotten the top sheets! Master bedroom sheets + towels are in the dryer + on top. Hope you are enjoying the clean windows!! we really enjoyed our stay at lovely Boulder Bay Chalet! Thank you!! Susan and Ken
