Campbell Folk School.

Wonderful weekend, beautiful rushing creek, and extremely clean cabin!

I just want to take time to thank the owners for sharing their place of paradise with us! The pictures of the creek does not do this place justice - the creek is beautifu! The cabin is extremely clean, the furnishings are of excellent quality, and beds were very comfortable. The amenities were beyond our expectation, with firewood ready and available to enjoy a fire in the firplace, a charcoal grill to grill on, and a jacuzzi / hottub to relax in at the end of the day. The creek is very close, so you can see the creek and hear the rushing sounds inside the cabin and on the front porch. This place was exactly what my wife and I needed - peaceful and quiet place to relax and spend some much needed "down time", as we celebrated 30 years of knowing each other. The owners are a pleasure to work with, and renting was very easy. We will definitely return to this place when time permits, and we have already saved the site in our "favorites".

My friend and I came up for the Possum Drop and to mountain bike. I have stayed in many cabins during the last 20 years or so and this is by far the cleanest cabin I have stayed in. The cabin is located in a beautiful setting..it is tastefully decorated and has a great "roommate style" split floor plan with two spacious bedrooms with their own full baths separated by the great room with a well appointed kitchen. The queen-sized fold out sofa is located in the great room. There is a very nice jacuzzi out on the deck. This would be a great central location for those mountain bikers or kayakers that would like to do both Tsali/Nantahala and Ocoee/Tanasi the same weekend..nothing like a day out there pushing the limits then coming back and treating those sore muscles to an hour in the jacuzzi! This cabin would also be ideal for students at the John Campbell Folk school. It is a very short drive over there (maybe 5 min) and would accomadate 3 single students comfortably..or 3 couples. This would also be a nice place for a romantic or small family getaway as it is close to the lakes. The owners live a little ways up the mountain and are lovely people..so none of the worries you might have when you chose a cabin rental agency to rent your cabin..no maintainence issues..their pride in their property is obvious and a great plus:)..will go back again. Forgot to mention..handicap accessible for those with eldery or disabled family members.

We stayed here Thanksgiving 2010. It was perfect. Very close to creek on a private road, and perfect for 2-4 people. Nice jacuzzi with a wood burning fireplace. Can sit in the jacuzzi, which is almost over the creek, and see the stars, and the fireplace. Awesome!! Bis screen TV is nice when you want to watch it, but it was definitely our last option :) We used the jacuzzi a bunch, and it was a couple of steps from the bedroom, which was perfect. It was also wheelchair compatible.
