LAS BRISAS
The Villa is situated in Morning Star Estates at an elevation of almost 1,000’ giving commanding views of the green coastal plains and the Caribbean Sea to the south, unobstructed views of mount Nevis (3,250 ft.) to the north and refreshing breezes.
An acre of private landscaped gardens surround the house, in a very quiet and peaceful area although various Beaches and Town are only ten minutes away.
The central core of the house is a Great room that measures approximately thirty feet square and rises thirty feet in height. A separate well-equipped kitchen occupies one corner of this space with the remainder shared between a dining area (the large round Plantation style table comfortably seats ten), the TV/entertainment area (cable TV, DVD player with indoor and outdoor speakers and Wi-Fi broadband internet service) and a comfortable sitting area with sofas, chairs and coffee table. Three large shuttered doorways provide easy access to the large covered veranda and expansive views to the south.
Kitchen equipment includes stainless steel side by side fridge/freezer with ice and water in the door, GE five burner gas cook top, convection oven, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, blender and lots of cookware, dishes, cutlery, glasses etc.
On the windward side (east wing) of the great room there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
On the ground floor the double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, the other bedroom has two single beds and access to a small patio.
The upper floor comprises a south facing Queen sized bedroom (the African room) two singles in the other bedroom and a shared bathroom.
The west wing upper level features a master suite with Queen bed with full bath and private balcony. A library, another bathroom and a store room are found on the ground floor. Most rooms have ceiling fans and all beds have mosquito nets though generally at this elevation they are rarely a problem.
Outside the kitchen is a small patio with table, chairs and market umbrella suitable for breakfasts or Bar-B-Q’s. The large south facing covered veranda has two areas for dining and space for lounging, below this is a fifty four by ten foot lap pool (up to six ft. deep) with lounges on the sun deck alongside.
A Laundry with washer and drier resides in a basement – the maid will do light personal laundry.
The house voltage is 110/60 (as in North America), solar power heats the water.
Maid service is provided on weekday mornings (except holidays), pool maintenance is twice weekly and there is a part time gardener. |
