This 1200 sq. ft.chalet style A-frame cabin is an original "Haida Hide" House. It was built the first year they debuted at the Seattle Home Show in 1965. It was just re-modeled Fall of '07 and features every reasonable amenity in like new condition.
It is nicely situated near the end of a one-half mile long private road on a small peninsula. The property is on water in the front and back. Guests have often remarked that it is akin to living on a boat.
From the ample deck space you can enjoy the expansive water of Port Susan Bay. And on a good day, you can see the snow cone top of Mt. Rainier. The back of the cabin sits on Triangle Cove, offering expansive and beautiful views in both directions.
The wildfowl and wildlife are abundant. In the right season, salmon fishing and crabbing are excellent right off the beach in front.
The fall, winter and spring seasons aren't to be missed. This is the perfect sanctuary to enjoy nature from inside if the weather takes a turn. We have a new Hearthstone wood stove that can make any weather into a spectacle to be viewed from a cozy vantage point. Wood for the stove is supplied.
U.S. Coast Guard-Licensed Sailing & Motorboat Charter Company at the State Park, See link below. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and La Conner are just two of the events and nearby towns that offer so much to do and see.
I manage 3 waterfront vacation rentals on the same road as this one. If you are planning a group or family gathering, all 3 would be perfect. Please email or phone me for more information.
