On Calle Arsenal, two blocks from the San Francisco Convent and four blocks from the Plaza is the charming Casa Rincon “your private space”. In the heart of historic Granada, surrounded by both local-color and the colonial atmosphere, la casa is situated across from Eskimo (ice cream shop!) and a locally owned small pulperia (store for necessities). Nearby is Los Chavalos, an excellent non-profit restaurant that trains "at risk" children to work in the restaurant business.
The 20 foot beamed, cane ceilings draw you into the comfortable sala (living room) and carry you to your own private outdoor living space complete with tropical garden, fountain, kitchen, and dining area... with the sky as your ceiling.
Enjoy the tropical atmosphere while lazily drinking morning coffee, luxuriating in Nicaraguan rockers under the protective portico. Share cheese, wine or the excellent local For de Cana rum in the evening basking in the garden's romantic lighting, flowing water.... and the moon.
French, English, and Nicaraguan antiques, local folk art, Brazilian woodcuts, and tropical wicker work together to create an open, elegantly casual environment. The high ceilings extend to the ample master bedroom which has two queen beds. The upstairs loft with full bath is private and has a queen bed. |
