We rented this for my daughters College Graduation from Radford U. Was a little farther away than expected but worth the trip to have the family enjoy a wonderful setting. Draw back was the locked gate that you had to open and relock every time you went in and out. One of the best things about the cabin was the screen porch and decks, the nice open kitchen and eating area and the hospitality of the owners. Very clean. Would recommend.

We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Bella Casa. Even though this was a cold March (it snowed our last day!), we enjoyed sipping coffee on the screened in porch and watching the geese on the river. The house was clean and well stocked with linens, dishes, etc. All we brought were our pups, our food, and our tennis shoes to hike. New River State Park was not far away and was beautiful to walk around. We also toured Radford and walked around Christiansburg. Other than that, our vacation was spent relaxing in cozy Bella Casa. I recommend taking a good book up into the loft and just letting all of your cares melt away! (It's a great napping spot too!) We will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 2 nights last week and the pictured honestly do not do it justice. The cabin is located in an extremely quiet and private setting. Inside it is fully stocked and there is plenty of room. We had 5 adults and 2 toddlers and it was perfect. We are already talking about booking a future trip!

My family of six spent the most wonderful weekend at Bella Casa. We live 17 miles from this wonderful cabin and felt like we were many hours away from home. The accomodations were nothing short of great. The cabin was VERY clean and the amenities met all our needs. Bella Casa is "home away from home". The surrounding woods and river is absolutely beautiful. Our children loved the cabin, especially the loft and upstairs sleeping quarters! This is a great place to make memories, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Southwest Virginia. If you want to experience the best cabin adventure along the New River, Bella Casa is the place for you! There are numerous things to do close by, but why would you want to leave Bella Casa?? Thank you Troy and Laura for making your "piece of heaven" available for so many others to enjoy!

This was my family's second trip to Bella Casa for a week of fishing, kayaking, bike riding and relaxing on the New River. We love the quiet and peacefulness of this location. The cabin was clean, well maintained and well equipped for a family vacation. We took a day trip to hike at the Cascades-well worth the trip. Bella Casa is highly recommended. We plan to return next year.

Bella Casa is just like the pictures show it to be...very cozy with a beautiful setting along the river. We found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed renting a speed boat at Claytor Lake and the kids really liked being pulled behind on a tube. We rode horses at the New River Trail State Park one afternoon and did their long kayak trip another morning (which goes past Bella Casa, so no need to pack a lunch, just pull off the river and have lunch at "home"). Our youngest son could've fished forever; he caught plenty of small fish and a couple 12-inchers so he was thrilled. The river was shallow enough that he could wade out and fish on his own while I read a book on the screened in porch. Bella Casa is a great place to stay and the owners were easy to work with. Thanks for the memories!

Absolutely beautiful......the Bella Casa is a piece of Heaven for our family. After several stays at the Bella Casa we knew there would be no better place to have a wedding than there. The day was gorgeous and the background of the New River was breathtaking. We did our vows on the river bank with 50 of our family and friends around us. Following the ceremony, lunch was set up on the screened in porch with lots of seating on the decks, in the house, and under a canopy we set up next to the river. After lunch our guests quickly changed into swimsuits, grabbed tubes, kayaks and fishing poles and spent the afternoon in the river while others visited with family and friends under the shade of the walnut trees. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to commit our lives to each other and enjoy the company of our friends. We would highly recommend Bella Casa for a relaxing weekend away or a beautiful, peaceful setting for a wedding.

Our family had a fantastic long weekend at Bella Casa! It was the perfect layout for us (my wife and I and our 2 kids, 6 and 8). The upstairs sleeping area worked out great for us, although I can relate to other comments about the lack of privacy. Our kids enjoyed exploring the loft area, loved the selection of movies, toys and games, and especially liked the hammock in the back yard. The view of the lake was spectacular, especially when the geese flocked to the water each morning. While we didn't use it much, the back yard is quite large and would be great for outdoor activities. Highlights for us were making smores on the rustic outdoor fire pit, hiking at the Cascades (a must-do that is roughly an hour drive from the cabin), playing games around the large dining room table, visiting Draper Mercantile (off of exit 92), geocaching, and of course a Virginia Tech victory on Saturday! Nobody wanted to leave and our kids begged to stay three more days! We will definitely be back for another enjoyable, relaxing, family bonding experience!

Our time at Bella Casa was so relaxing and enjoyable. This was our second year there for a week and we enjoyed every minute especially time on the porch, reading and enjoying the sounds of the New River. Thanks, Laura and Troy, for sharing your well-kept cabin with us. We hope to return again next fall. GO HOKIES!!! Sue and Jim Outer Banks, N.C.

About the owner: We are a family owned property, owned by a brother and sister. We both grew up in this cabin and have wonderful memories of family retreats here. Our hope is for others to have some of the same wonderful memories by staying here. It is a wonderful, relaxing cabin!

Why the Owner Chose Claytor Lake:
The cabin has been in our family for 15 years but was not used as a rental property until 2007. We love it because of the great fishing, amazing surroundings, and the wonderful memories with friends and family that have been made over the years.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
There is world class fishing in the New River. Playing cards and board games with the family out on the screened porch. Roasting marshmallows on the outdoor stone grill. Relaxing in the hammock. Intertubing down the river from the bridge. Riding bikes on the New River Trail State Park across the river from the cabin.
