This was absolutely the best vacation rental I have ever had the opportunity to experience. This house is everything as the description by the owners depicts. The house is clean, well maintained, comfortable and wonderfully stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Our rental arrangements, payments, communications with the owners and the actual arrival and acquiring the keys all went smoothly without any problems at all. The house was situated in a quiet neighborhood with a view of the big, red rocks out the back. There is a tree in the back yard with several bird feeders that was so fun to watch. The neighborhood was quiet, not much traffic at all (never heard any "road noise" and over all, this was just the perfect get- away for our "Sister's Reunion". The photos do accurately depict the house and there are no special "camera angles" trying to make the house look bigger than it was. There are a couple steps down into the living area, so if a guest is in a wheelchair, or has ambulation problems, this would need to be taken into consideration. It was the perfect size for us (we were a party of 5). The owners provided tons of information as to eateries, places to see, directions, etc. and the owners put a LOT of time in developing their information sheets. We were so thankful for all the information. I would definitely recommend this house for people touring this area. On our first day, we drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon (about a 2 hour drive from the house). We spent the entire day at the Grand Canyon and then returned that night - completely do-able even after hiking for 4 hours in the canyon! The next day we toured the Palataki Ruins (cliff dwellings) and found the volunteer park guides extremely helpful and so very sweet. We then toured the Church in the Rock (sorry, cannot remember the correct name) - but it was high in the red rock hills and simply beautiful. We climbed Cathedral Rock (in Sedona) the next day (now that was a strenuous day, but so worth the physical struggles once we got to the top!). We also toured the downtown of Sedona and were happy to see two different art / craft shows were going on at the same time in Sedona - so we were able to experience local artists and local people who are so charming. I found Sedona and Phoenix Rose house to be overall an excellent experience and I would highly recommend this property and location. Simply awesome! (I am a picky person and this house was just awesome!)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Two of my friends and I stayed Rose Cottage from March 24-March 29th. The weather was fabulous and Rose Cottage made for a wonderful home base. The sun streamed into the living room in the mornings and was over our shoulder during our late afternoon happy hour out in the yard. The Village of Oak Creek was the perfect location, tranquil and close to hiking at Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte, but not too far from the action of Sedona. We hiked most morning, went for long lunches at wonderful scenic venues, shopped in the afternoon, and lingered over wine, olives, cheese, and fruit in the late afternoon at the cottage. Our stay was fabulous and our hosts provided us with the most helpful sightseeing, shopping, and eating suggestions. We would definitely like to return and highly recommend the cottage to anyone seeking a "Red Rocks" experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This was a great house. Very cute and cozy. There were 4 of us and 2 shih tzus and still plenty of room. Great backyard. It was really clean and kept up. I could live here. It was close to all the great hiking and biking trails. Also close to restaurants. The owners had a great website with lots of things to do and places to eat. Also lots of info in the cabin. Our favorite place to eat was wildflower bread at the Hyatt. Our favorite hike was Bell mountain which is right up the road. I would recommend this home and I would also stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family of thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Phoenix Rose Cottage. It more than matched the description. The house is lovely and comfortable and completely met our needs (one of the best stocked kitchens of any rental we've been in), was close to everything. The owners provided a great deal of helpful information about the Sedona area and are gracious hosts. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Sedona! There is so much to do in Sedona! We enjoyed hiking the Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, Little Horse, Airport Loop, and Cathedral trails in Red Rocks park. We loved the West Fork trail in Oak Creek Canyon...another day trip to see Montezuma's Castle, Montezuma's Well, Tuzigoot, and Jerome. We also took a Pink Jeep tour to the Grand Canyon (in lieu of driving), which is a great introduction to the Grand Canyon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I, his parents, and our 2 dogs stayed at the Rose Cottage in September. The kitchen was well equipped, bedding good quality, and we enjoyed coffee on the back deck each morning taking note of the humming birds buzzing around the bird feeders in the yard. The Cottage is in a good location close to many hiking trails. We were able to get to our favorite hike in at cathedral rock, but also tried a few new ones such as soldiers pass, and mystic trail. Our group also made a trip to the winery outside Sedona, Out of Africa Safari park, and Montazuma's Castle. Overall we had a wonderful visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Four of us stayed at the Phoenix Rose Cottage for a girls weekend and found it perfect! The location was within walking distance to everything we needed, but far enough away from uptown Sedona for some peace and quiet. The cottage had everything we needed, and all the comforts of home. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the views. The owners were very helpful and provided us with local information before our stay. We would definitely come back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Phoenix Rose Cottage in the Village of Oak Creek is a perfect place to stay while in Sedona. It's a beautiful house in a nice quiet neighborhood but not too far from anything. The owners were extremely helpful prior to our arrival, providing valuable information on resturants, shopping and sightseeing trips. We took a Pink Jeep tour and would recommend the Broken Arrow trip. A trip to the town of Jerome is also a must. A few resturants to try would be Cucina Rustica, which is not far from the house, and the Cowboy Club, which is in uptown Sedona. Also, a drive up the Oak Creek Canyon is a must. Sedona is the most beautiful place we have visited and the Phoenix Rose Cottage is the place to stay. You won't be disappointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: My husband and I run a small Real Estate Brokerage in South Orange County, California. We purchased Phoenix Rose Cottage as getaway and home we hope to one day retire to. For several years the home was only enjoyed by ourselves, our family and close friends. We are very spritual people and decided we wanted others to experience and enjoy the home as it is truly a spiritual retreat. It seemed selfish not to share it so we decided to make it available to others and we are so glad we did.
Why the Owner Chose Sedona:
We chose Sedona as it is such a beautiful and serene area. Being very spiritual people we were looking for an area with a very special energy.
After visiting Sedona we knew right away this was exactly the area we were looking for. The cottage is located in South Sedona in the village of Oak Creek.
We chose the village over uptown as it is a little more peaceful, is close to Bell rock and has everything close by.
Uptown is a beautiful drive along the scenic Highway, being in the village gives you the option of driving in and out of the uptown area rather than being stuck in the busier area all the time.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The most unique feature of this property is simply this. When you leave you will feel well rested, relaxed and recharged!
