ABOUT SHORE LANE BEACH HOUSE ~~
Escape to the beautifully decorated water front retreat. Shore Lane Beach House offers three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms on three levels totaling 1400 square feet. All rooms (except for one bedroom) have superb views of the water. Stay in touch if needed utilizing our high speed WiFi connection.
It is a great set up for adults and kids. Send the kids to the downstairs living area to play games or watch TV in the evenings while you enjoy the view and conversation on the main floor. Kids can sleep in the bunk room with their choice of upper bunk, lower bunk, or trundle.
On the main floor, step outside the French doors onto the covered deck right off the dining and living areas. Enjoy the water view while you prepare meals in the brand new, fully equipped kitchen featuring maple cabinets, rubbed bronze hardware, and granite countertops with slate backsplash.
Later retreat to either of two upstairs bedrooms. Pick the waterside room with the king bed, cable TV and balcony overlooking the bay, or relax on the queen size bed in the tastefully appointed blue room.
You'll find a full bath with a bathtub/shower, tile tub surround and granite counter vanity on the third floor as well.
ABOUT THE WATER ~~
Shore Lane Beach House is located on the east side of Oakland Bay (which is just south of Hood Canal). Look across the water and see the city of Shelton - the lights are beautiful at night. Saunter down a few stairs to the beach which is covered with oysters and clams. Bring your favorite clam and oyster recipes! You'll see playful seals frolicking and salmon jumping in the water. At high tide, you can catch fish off the lower deck or simply cast from shore and reel them in! The water is surprisingly warm in summer, and in winter it is just beautiful. You can even kayak on the calm waters of Oakland Bay; a rental shop in Allyn will deliver for just $15!
THINGS TO DO ~~
Shelton and the surrounding areas offer plenty to do for everyone. The covered deck is the perfect spot to enjoy the winter waters - just bundle up if it's chilly. Or build a campfire right in the back yard and take in the view. Take a walk up the beach for an hour and you won't see any houses, just the wonders of nature. Experience fishing, wildlife viewing, or visit the Olympic National Rainforest.
Perhaps you'd like to catch a flick at the drive-in movie theater, try your luck at the Little Creek Casino, take the family out to eat, or enjoy Kneeland Park with its gigantic playground, grassy areas and beautiful picnic shelter.
Now, if GOLF is your game, you will not be disappointed. Try the two nearby local courses, or truly test your skill at the prestigious Alderbrook, Gold Mountain, or Trophy Lake golf courses, all 20 to 35 miles from Shore Lane Beach House.

The Unique Benefits at this House
What we enjoy most is the view from almost every place in the house and the beach. Between our two families, our kids range in age from baby to college age and everyone has something fun to do there. Cable TV and WiFi keeps you connected, while the beach provides hours of fun exploring, wading, gathering clams and oysters, or our pre-schoolers' favorite activity - throwing rocks in the Sound. Of course, the nearby heated swimming pool is a HUGE hit in the summer. We love that the house is remodeled completely and decorated nicely too - you really feel like you're on vacation, with all the amenities of home. The Shore Lane Beach House - perfect for a delightful cozy Thanksgiving Holiday enjoying family (ages 3 to 81), food and the waterfront. The kitchen was totally accommodating as was everything about the house. Thank you for the drawer full of toys, it made a big difference to our 3 year old niece. Hope to visit again in the summer.

My family had a blast playing on the shore, and watching the tides coming in and out. The colors of the leaves changed over this weekend---each day saw more yellows, oranges, and reds. It was remarkably picturesque. The house absorbed all nine of us nicely, 7 kids, and the amenities were perfectly suited for our needs. We grilled out on Sat night on the porch. We sat on the porches, ate and read books and chatted while watching the waterfowl, a few seals, and the jumping salmon. Great beds for sleeping too. Oh, details. Clean, washer and dryer worked great. Owners were prompt with pre-visit email questions. About 20 minutes from Shelton by the time you drove all the round, but the drive was gorgeous. Wifi worked perfect and was much needed for my wife's work and my daughter's schooling. We'll be back!

We loved it, this home is very cozy with comfy furnishings and beds. Loved the screened in porch and watched the seals all afternoon. Great selection of movies, every kitchen appliance we needed and the ice maker in the fridge really came in handy!! Thanks so much - we can hardly wait for our next visit!

A great spot just outside Shelton. The water's full of life--we found clams and oysters and starfish, and even caught a sea-run cutthroat. The house is well furnished and the kitchen stocked with all the appliances and cookware you could want.

My family enjoyed our long weekend at the Beach House. The views were beautiful and the home had everything we needed. The access to beach is right outside and gave us many opportunities for exploring. The clams were plentiful and we had a wonderful clam bake on our last night. A very nice spot for a girl's getaway, family vacation or quiet reflection.

My husband, two young children and I enjoyed a weekend at the Shore Lane Beach house. It was really lovely. It was spacious enough for all of us and was well appointed with almost anything you would be needing. The view was wonderful and it is just steps from the beach which had tons of oysters, clams and sand crabs for all of us to search for. I was able to cook all of our meals in the kitchen and it had all the supplies I needed. The bunkbeds were a huge hit with the kids! I also recommend driving to Shelton to enjoy Kneeland park if you are traveling with children...they loved that too! All in all we highly recommend this house! We hope to be back.

The home and beach were fantastic and our extended family enjoyed the space very much. I appreciate that firewood and clam digging equipment were available. Oakland Bay is lovely and the porch was used frequently. The pictures of the rooms and beach were accurate, although there is a lumber mill across the bay. I would book Shorelane beach house again in a heartbeat should we be traveling to the area again.

My husband and our 2 girls spent a wonderful weekend at Shorelane Beach House. They had everything we needed there, we never left the house during our visit except to walk down to the beach. I know that we will be visiting the beach house again, very peaceful and relaxing. The perfect weekend getaway!!!
