What the Inn is like - The Inn is Historic and there is new carpet in the rooms! The main question you must ask yourself before staying in our laidback and easygoing Inn is "am I a nice person?" If you answered "YES" then you will love it at our place! The rest is at the end. Short walk to Bourbon Street with FREE PARKING (NOT the $20 per nite you will pay if you stay on Bourbon), WI-FI (NOT the $9,99 you will pay in a hotel on Bourbon), and Computer use (Who else offers a free computer and printer to use?)!! Located in the historic Faubourg-Marigny next to the French Quarter, garden courtyard with giant oak and soothing fountain, Cyber Parlor and wireless internet, private baths in every suite, cable TV/VCR, central AC/heating, Inn Keeper cleans rooms and lives in private divided quarters, relaxed Inn Keeper, although this is a large house all guests are assured the strictest privacy.
Stay in your room and relax or come to the lobby and chat or let us set you up for a tour. No one will ever bother you except to clean your room! You designate the time or we can leave you alone and clean when you leave! Just let us know. You will love our relaxed, calm, and friendly world at the Creole Inn. The Inn is very open and welcomes all travelers! Kriss and Jenn are your hosts, they will take the BEST care of you! Although our rooms are very nice we have an atmosphere like the one you were around at your sweet old grandmother's or aunt Sally's house! The previous owner Doug is a dear friend of the Inn and can always be reached by calling us. If we are booked Please feel free to reach out to La Dauphine Bed and Breakfast which is just down the street. They are friends and would welcome you with open arms also.
The Creole Inn is an urban guesthouse for people on the go. It is housed in a mid-19th-century, two-story 'Marigny double' townhouse with a private garden courtyard that is canopied by a giant, century-old live oak and cooled by a soothing fountain. There are Traditional, vintage and antique furnishings throughout. Like the garden, the Breakfast Room and Cyber Parlor are common spaces. With its friendly, homelike atmosphere, Creole Inn is popular with leisure travelers, business and convention travelers, European travelers, and weekend travelers among others.
The best French Sumatra Roast Coffee is served along with pastries each morning! Guests have use of a microfridge in the room. Free access to e-mail and the Internet is available on a guest computer, and there is free wireless Internet access. The daily Times-Picayune and other local newspapers and magazines are available in the Parlor. An iron and hair dryer are available on request. Smoking is permitted only in the garden and on the rear balcony.
There are three 2-bedroom suites and two 1-bedroom suites, all with private baths. Baths are either bathtub/shower combination or shower only. The Old Europe Two-Bedroom Suite on the lower floor has direct access to the garden. The one-bedroom suites on the upper floor have high ceilings and hardwood floors. Creole Inn has central air conditioning and heating. All rooms have cable TV.
The Creole Inn is not for arrogant, rude or high maintenance people. If you require a chauffeur, a maid, or a bell person then you will want to stay somewhere else that will cater to your high class needs. Please do not book with us! We bought this location be we belive in diversity and local culture! We are only 4 blocks from where all the local famous jazz acts play! The local restaurants and area is so amazing! The convenience of staying with us is big! We have a 24 hour grocery 4 blocks away, a cafe and bar 1 block away, the most romantic restaurant 3 blocks away, and a plethera of additional value added places! Not to mention that parking, wi-fi, and computer access are all free! Walk right outside to your car! We love this set-up because its quiet, convenient, and cheaper than most other places! In addition we wanted to provide a good rate for decent people. The Creole Inn is not for arrogant, rude or high maintenance people. I am so thrilled to invite folks to our Creole Inn! I am a native of New Orleans and love everything from crawfish to mardi gras! We are military officers and the co-owner works for Johnson and Johnson "no more tears"! We welcome all people to our establishment. We believe that guests should be charged a decent rate for their stay during low season and competitive rates during high season. We have new carpet in our rooms and brand new memory foam beds in most rooms! We treat our guests right! Just a note caution that the Creole Inn is not for arrogant, rude or high maintenance people. If you require a chauffeur, a maid, or a bell person then you will want to stay somewhere else that will cater to your high class needs. Please do not book with us!
