Location: Clayton, Northeast Mountains, Georgia, USA (2 hours from Atlanta)
Accommodations: Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-10)
Keywords: Cabin
She Creek Cabin is located on five acres bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest. There is more than 800-foot of private creek frontage with a large fire pit located on the banks. Another fire pit awaits you just outside the back door of your cabin.
Made entirely of wood culled from the property, the cabin was built with mountain relaxation in mind. Your vacation home sits on a hill, is completely surrounded by woods and has a spectacular view. From the 200-foot wrap around porch, you can use the binoculars supplied for you to watch the deer grazing in your front yard. The occasional bear may stop by to see what you're up to and enjoy some of the salt block and oats put out for them. Watch wild turkey strut their stuff in the yard and humming birds enjoy nectar from the feeders just inches away from you on the porch. A family of owls lives in a tree on the property and a family of Hawks also live nearby. You'll definitely want to bring your camera.
When you arrive, you'll probably find a jar of homemade blackberry jelly on the kitchen counter. This jelly was made from berries picked on the property. If you're lucky enough to be here during July, we recommend you bring berry buckets for picking.
The cabin has been furnished with many ammenities. It has a new high-efficiency washer and dryer and a high-definition, large-screen television with more than 150 channels delivered via satellite. Some movies and games are supplied for the dvd player and PS2 game station. For a nice, quiet evening, enjoy some of the board games or jigsaw puzzles.
If hiking is what you're coming to the mountains for, we have a variety of books and maps that will show you how to find nearby waterfalls and hiking trails.
She Creek Cabin is located just three miles from whitewater rafting on the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River, where the movie "Deliverance" was filmed. We are also just three miles from Kingwood golf resort. Less than an hour's ride from Alpine Village in Helen, Ga, we are the perfect location for your next vacation.

Owner Description
The Westbrook's are a family of whitewater rafters and nature enthusiasts. This photo was taken in 2009 during our yearly family reunion hosted at our cabin in the mountains.
Why the Owner Chose Clayton
We actually bought this cabin in order to halt development on the cabin's five acres of land.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
During our family reunion we will have as many as 50 people show up at the cabin for cookouts and fun around the fire. We spend the week rafting on Sections III and IV of the Chattooga River and we funyak and swim on the easier sections of the river. We also spend a lot of time hiking, shopping in the nearby antique villages and towns, and some days we simply play at the cabin having fun in the creek.

Where do I begin? This place was exactly what we needed/wanted. We had a group of friends get together at this cabin for an unforgettable New Year's Eve. Barbara, the owner and Argus and Claire (her adorable and sweet pups) were the best hosts one could ask for!! She even obliged us by being the test taster for our first night chili cook-off. As you enter, you are greeted by an adorable kitchen and dining rm. If you'll go outside and to the left, you'll see a couple of rocking chairs on the deck. Sit and recline back..once you do, you'll easlily be able to hear the water fall down by the creek and will most likely fall asleep like I did. Barbara told us of another waterfall about a mile from the house. It's a very easy walk, and trust me, it is beautiful beyond words. The beds are comfortable and the house is accommodating for a lot of people. I loved staying here and will keep this on the list for future visits to this part of NE GA. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Six of us came up to stay at the She Creek Cabin. We didn't expect to enjoy it so much! We chose the cabin because of the proximity to the Chattooga whitewater companies. (Which is wonderful! Less the 15 minutes from most of the companies!) The little creek running behind the cabin is beautiful and the porch swing was a real treat! The guys loved the foosball table, and the friendly dogs! Great place to stay if you're off to raft the Chattooga!

Several friends and I just returned from a weekend at the cabin. It was wonderful. The owner was super helpful and led us to a lot of fun places. I now want a permanent vacation. The area is very scenic and the sound of the creek in the background makes it a very relaxing place. Thanks for a great experience. We wanted to come back this weekend, but it was already booked. Boooooooo.

We just returned home from a week at the cabin. We want to turn around and drive back to Georgia. We spent a week relaxing, golfing, hiking, fishing and sightseeing. I was surprised at the amount of beautiful waterfalls in the area. We took tons of pictures, bring your camera. Barbara, the owner, is so friendly and accommodating. She told us about the Gathering Place Brasstown BBQ and the Brasstown Falls in South Carolina. You definitly have to try both of them. Probably the best BBQ's we have ever had. My parents came with us, my dad is a suburbanite, he was very impressed at the modern conveniences and comfortable beds, it takes alot to impress my father. Barbara left numerous books of attractions to look at, we really enjoyed the book on the Waterfalls in the area and found it very helpful since my mom has a hard time getting around. Our 4 boys loved playing in the creek, they brought their creek shoes and minnow nets and caught anything that moved. Bring extra shoes and hiking boots. I sat on the back deck and watched the sun rise every morning and had my coffee. The air was so clean and crisp. It was truly an enjoyable, relaxing Spring Break. Thank You Barbara

We just had the best time at this beautiful mountain cabin. The cabin had everything we could need including extra comfortable beds and fluffy towels! And the jam was such a nice personal touch. The area is one of the best I've been at in the mountains--so much to do near Clayton! Our kids (and myself, too) loved creek hiking at the creek running through the property, and each night we enjoyed nice campfires while we watched the fireflies.

We just spent 4 nights in the She Creek Cabin and loved every minute of it. If you're looking for a very quiet place, this is it. Beautiful location with easy access to Clayton. The cabin is clean and well appointed and the blackberry jelly was DELICIOUS!
