Desert Ridge Estate is a custom built 5,400+ square-foot home with plenty of space for your large group or family reunion. It can host up to 400 guests for events. The rustic brick & stone home has a beautiful 3 acre lake, surrounded by palm and citrus trees. It’s like a home in a movie. Bring your bikes, friends, family, jet skis... lots of room!
The 7 bedroom 4 ½ bath home comfortably sleeps 30 people & is turn-key ready for your arrival with linens and towels, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen & many amenities and extras.
Outdoors: The private, heated, 100 foot infinity pool & spa overlooks the lake and features a tanning shelf, ledge seats, cascading rock waterfalls and is surrounded by lush, colorful landscaping and 8 high-end poolside lounge chairs. . If you want to cool down, flip on the misters; if you want to heat it up to the outdoor fireplace and watch a little TV or impress your friends with karaoke on the outdoor flatscreen. Dine indoors or out at Desert Ridge Estate: The large outdoor dining table seats 10 and is situated next to the outdoor kitchen with built in gas BBQ, sink and plenty of counter space. The entire patio overlooks lush grass sloping down to the private lake where you can swim, fish in the Desert Ridge Estate rowboat or jetski. The upper event lawn features views of the house, pool, waterfalls, lake and mountains. Outdoor sound will enhance your entire experience.
Indoors: The fabulous chef’s kitchen has slab granite counters, refrigerator, stainless steel appliances, Dacor 5-burner gas cook-top with pot filler, double oven with convection, microwave, dual dishwashers, under counter lighting, huge island with an extra prep you need for a gourmet feast or just plenty of space to store the supplies from your vacation food Costco run!
Bedrooms: The Master Suite is large & luxurious with super-plush King-size bed, HDTV, huge walk-in closet and private, french doors leading out to the pool and spa. The Master Bath has an oversize custom tiled shower with rain dome shower head & luxurious jacuzzi tub. There is an extra bedroom that is not mentioned in the bedroom stats just off the Master with a lockable door between the two and a private exterior door to the back yard. It features two full beds.
Bedroom 2 is a suite with private adjoining bath, King bed, flatscreen TV, gorgeous view and doors to the pool & spa. Bedrooms 3 & 4 also feature a King bed and a Queen bed, flatscreen TV’s, views, private doors to the pool & spa and share a Jack ‘n Jill full bath with dual sinks. Bedroom 5 features 2 Queen bunk beds for a total of 4 Queen beds. It also has 2 Full trundle beds for lots of separate sleeping areas. Bedroom 5 would also utilize the Jack 'n Jill bath or hall powder bath and has a private sink with a mirror above it and private doors to the outside as well as the game room. Bedrooms 6 & 7 (guest house) feature King beds and they share a Jack 'n Jill full bath with oversized tub/shower and dual sinks. The guest house also has a kitchen and sitting area with flatscreen TV. Other bedding: Sleeper sofa in the Great Room and a portable crib.
Great Room amenities include wood beam ceilings, fireplace, HDTV & DVD. The dining area features a huge dining table with bench seating for 10-14 and adjoining wet bar. There is seating for 5 more at the kitchen bar. Total indoor/outdoor dining seating seats: 25-29.
The Theater/Media Room has a full-wall screen with high definition projector, surround sound and DVD player as well as a large kick back sectional. The Game Room has a pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, beer pong table, basketball, ping pong, darts, flatscreen TV, treadmill, exercise bike & weights.

Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very unhappy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was exactly as was advertised and was perfect for our purposes- a ladies weekend getaway- but there was one thing that was not advertised, the location. It is in a very weird part of town and the entrance is hard to find. The biggest issue is that a school has been recently built next to the property and so it abuts all sorts of activity areas including a massive stadium with a very loud PA system. It woke us up Saturday at 6:30am with a loud male voice and continued until about 5pm for the all day football tournament no one had disclosed to us. We tried to drain out the music and constant play by plays with music by the pool but its louder and dominates. If you want to just relax by a pool in a quiet environment, you may want to check that there is no school event over the time period you want to be there. Besides that, everything else was great and as advertised. Manager responded on 12/18/2012: Hi Megan! We really appreciate your feedback from your stay at Desert Ridge Estate. We apologize that you were not made aware of the noise issue from the school, however you were the first guests who notified us, so we were simply unaware of the problem prior to your arrival. The homeowner has begun communicating with schoool and city officials to try to rectify the situation, but in the mean time we have added a clause to the Lodging Agreement notifying future guests of the potential noise issue. All that being said, we are truly sorry that your trip was effected by it but are glad everything else was to your liking during your stay.Did you find this review helpful? Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was everything we had hoped for. We were a large group of 3 generations and finding a home to accommodate all of us was our first priority. The amenities took the experience to an even higher level of fun and entertainment. Lenny was very accommodating, especially when there were glitches with the electricity, a/c and mister when we first arrived. Most everything was up and running smoothly within 24 hours. I would like to suggest that manuals or step-by-step instructions for the TV/Cable and sound system would have been helpful. We were really bummed about the Theater System not working as we had activities planned for the little kids. All and all, our stay was wonderful and we look forward to a return visit next year. In master suite, no voering on window over tub..passer-by can look in. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was perfect for the 16 members of our family during my son's wedding in Indio. There was plenty of sitting room inside and out when we all wanted to sit down, and the landscaping and pool area felt like we were in Hawaii with all of the waterfalls! Lenny the caretaker was fabulous with calls for anything that we forgot to ask. It was fantastic having the 2 bedroom casita separate from the house too. The only drawback was it was football homecoming at the high school right next door so we could not have the rehearsal dinner on the property. Also, you need to keep your cars in the garage as the baseball field popped several balls over the fence. The appliances were great however, there were no serving bowls and the silverware was sparse. The furniture and linens could also be upgraded.
