Lakeview Lodge is an exceptional vacation home that offers many thoughtful and comfortable features plus the convenient location in Laurel Ridge of Big Canoe that everyone wants. From this location you can walk to the pool or fitness center and just down the street is a picnic area and entrance to some of the many hiking trails. You'll love the wonderful site which overlooks Disharoon Lake and the mountains of Big Canoe. No matter what season, this charming home is a perfect to relax and rejuvenate with friends and family or for a romantic get-away. The decks provide perfect spots to enjoy the gorgeous views and scenery of Big Canoe.
The home is elegantly rustic with wonderful pine walls and floors on the main level. The main level features a spacious living area, dining area, and open kitchen with granite counters and breakfast bar plus the private powder room. Furnishings are high quality and comfortable. Just entering some of the rooms in this home makes you want to smile...from the fishing poles waiting in the corner to the checkers game on the screened porch ready for a game.
Upstairs is the private master suite. It's a true "retreat" with vaulted pine ceilings, king bed (with 600 thread count sheets), and spacious master bath. The bath features whirlpool tub and walk-in glass shower. Best of all, flip a switch on a cool morning and the fireplace gently warms the room. The room also features huge windows providing wonderful views, but the black-out shades allow for "sleeping like a baby" in this room. An attached sleeping porch off the master is perfect for quiet reading or relaxing and also provides a daybed for an additional child or nap.
Down to the terrace level, with another spacious living area for relaxing, watching tv, reading or games. There are two comfortable bedrooms on this level. One bedroom has Twin beds (2) and the other has Queen bed and furnishings. Each bedroom has it's own private bath. Outside is a lovely garden area with hammock for lazy days and a huge lower-level deck.
The home features 3 stone fireplaces...in the great room, master bedroom and a woodburning fireplace on the charming screened porch!
The owners have decorated the home for guests of all ages with such wonderful details as high (600!) threadcount sheets, games for the family, and even a foosball table on the screened porch. If you must work while here, this home now offers free highspeed DSL service. For allergy sufferers, this home is equipped with a special hypoallergenic air-conditioning system. In addition, the kitchen has a reverse-osmosis filtering system to provide you with bottled water quality.
