  This apartment was a real find! The location in Orange County can't be beat -- close to Disney and the beaches but in a MUCH nicer neighborhood. The pictures accurately depict this apartment which is located over the garage of the main house with a private entrance. We have a three-year-old, so having the apartment not attached to the house was perfect. I didn't have to worry when he was loud that he was bothering anyone. Having a full kitchen was also SO convenient. One evening we were all exhausted and the thought of a restaurant was a little overwhelming -- we stopped by the store and heated a few things in the microwave when "home." Finally, loved the sleep number adjustable bed! Thank you so much to Ron, Elizabeth and Betty who made us feel welcome!

  This guesthouse was a real find for us. The listing photos accurately represented the property. In addition to its easy access to major freeways, close proximity to tourist destinations, the ocean, restaurants and shopping it was a delight to come home to our quiet home away from home. Great walking and hiking was right outside our front door and into Peters Canyon. Elizabeth and Ron were great hosts and made us feel so welcome. The house was clean, well equipped, private and quiet. We would recommend this guesthouse for small families, couples and professional singles.

  We've stayed in VRBOs worldwide, and this ranks as one of the best. Fully equipped, spacious and private. Elizabeth was warm, welcoming and answered all our questions. It's located in a quiet area, but close to everything. Absolutely perfect in every detail. Thanks for such a comfortable stay.

  From the moment we arrived (not the easiest place to find, but GPS will get you there) we really enjoyed our visit. The location is amazing, the drive in and out of the neighborhood were always enjoyable for the views and gorgeous homes that surround. Elizabeth was prepared for our later arrival, she warmly greeted us and promptly let us in and showed us around. She provided maps and recommendations for our stay. The house was just perfect for our family of four. We'll be staying here again soon. If I was forced to list one negative, the fridge made a slight noise on occasion which might be a minor problem if somebody was a light sleeper on the sofa bed. Overall the place was everything it is advertised to be and more.

  I'm a single mom of two little girls and this place was a perfect retreat for us. We were greeted warmly by the owner Elizabeth, followed by the sweet lovable (and a therapy dog) Lilly. The Cottage was so comfortable my girls didn't want to leave for the beach for the day. We had all the amenities of home plus more!!!! I'd not only highly recommend this home, but I'm planning on coming back into town on business a couple more times in the next year and I'll be booking my stay here instead of some hotel. You won't be disappointed if you chose to include this spot in your plans for your vacation.

  The listing for this property was exactly as written. It was so nice to walk the winding roads and trails to hear the sounds of chickens, birds and our footsteps. The scenic views were fabulous and the mature trees, towering palms and lemon trees are not scarce to the area and provide beautiful scent and shade. The host and neighbors were gracious, friendly and accommodating. This property was quite clean, comfortable and well maintained as it has been owned by their family for more than 50 years. You can feel a real sense of home in this quiet setting. Super fast response when inquiring about booking, payment was a breeze and they also supported our late arrival. GPS is highly recommended. We would definitely suggest this property to our friends and relatives and look forward to our next booking in the winding hills of Lemon Heights. Thank you for the experience. Robert and Christine

  My husband and I live in Orange County, but were having our entire house painted and decided to find a local rental for the week - rather than crash with family and friends. We were glad we chose Elizabeth and Ron's place! It was quiet, private and for someone who works from home - a nice environment to spend the entire day. The access to local grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities was great, but we felt like we were staying in the country. Elizabeth is a great hostess and made sure we were comfortable during our stay - even bringing us some fresh eggs and mulberries! Yum!

  My friend was coming for her second trip to California from New York City. I had to step up my game because last time she visited I had her stay at a local hotel and I was looking for something a lot more comfortable for this trip. I couldn’t have found a better place for her to stay. Being a local OC resident I enjoyed the location of the cottage, Tustin/Orange/Irvine is such a nice place to stay. It has the small town feel but you literally have everything available to you. A big bonus for me was that were just a short walk from Peters Canyon Trail (my favorite place to hike). We were both very happy with the space of the cottage. The living room had a comfortable couch for watching movies, the bedroom with the walk in closet had more then enough room for even a New Yorkers luggage. The bonus room was a tight fit but a great place to take a nap (I’m 6’8 so I know most people could be comfortable in there). The Kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked most of the meals. We made so many memories from the ten days we stayed here that I will have to rent again. My only regret is that I can’t live here year round. (Elizabeth if you guys ever want a permanent tenant let me know ;)

  This home was delightful. As we told Betty, Elizabeth, and Ron, we came as renters and left as friends. Our stay was a long one--three months. The house was cozy, warm and exceptionally clean. We loved the new tvs., the very comfortable bed with fine linens. The kitchen was well-stocked with every convenience including a Keurig coffee maker. We were given fresh eggs from the family's chickens and some lemons. The fresh homemade jelly was delicious. The location was ideal with good walking/hiking paths nearby and splendid views. The house and location was described exactly as we found it. We plan to return next year.

  My girlfriend and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday in 2011, and we couldn't have designed a better place to stay. It's a wonderful, nicely kept and appointed apartment in beautiful Lemon Heights. It's spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place in Orange County that's off the beaten path, but still close to all that OC/LA has to offer. Five stars!
