Hello from Beautiful Lake Tahoe!
We created the "Bears Den" at Lake Tahoe for the most discriminating vacationer and designed it as if we were checking into ourselves! (and we are very picky) A complete makeover summer of 2001 allowed us to add a total "Tahoe Package" to this gorgeous home. With vaulted pine ceilings, cozy river rock wood burning fireplace, surround sound Satellite TV with DVD/VCR, very private deck with new Hot Springs Hot Tub and all new log and pine furniture throughout this is exactly the Tahoe get-a-way you have been dreaming of! Since the original complete remodel we have replaced the living room/kitchen floors with a durable pergo/wood look, added accent paint and more deck furniture. We listen to our guests and make upgrades as needed!
Located in an upscale and secluded area of South Lake Tahoe this home is minutes to Sierra @Tahoe, Heavenly and Kirkwood. Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake are just minutes away as well and all the glitter of the heart of South Shores famous casinos are 13 minutes away!
Take a stroll down the street and hike into the Lake Tahoe backcountry and Desolation Wilderness. If you love to ski, snowshoe, cross country ski, sled, mountain bike, hike or just goof off this is your next vacation destination. Please let us know whether white wine or red is your preference and a complimentary bottle will be awaiting your arrival. By the way, we provide all linens including flannel sheets, cozy down comforters and your first nights firewood. It truly is all right here at "The Bears Den"!

We are so happy we found out about the Bear's Den on Craig's list! So lovely and comfortable, clean and sunny, private and with such gorgeous views of the trees and snowbanks. Our children were safe and content here.Truly a family friendly home. And we loved all the log furniture and well equipped kitchen. Thank you for sharing this amazing retreat with others.

The Bear's Den was perfect! We had such a wonderful vacation. The cabin was so comfortable and accomodating! We came to relax, play in the snow and enjoy some beautiful memories with our boys. We hardly needed to leave the house to have the vacation of our dreams. The boys loved the fireplace and had so much fun making a 6 foot snowman in the backyard. My husband and I appreciated all the details of the cabin, yet our favorite had to be the hot tub under the stars after the boys were asleep. We will cherish our wonderful memories thank you!

We could not have asked for a better place to spend our New Year's week. Dana and Michelle you are awesome! Thank you for going the extra mile to make sure we had our best trip yet. A clean, comfortable house with a hot tub, wireless internet, a beautiful provate setting and a snow blown driveway and patio all in walking distance of incredible snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sledding. The house has all the essentials for for a comfortable stay (big fluffy towels, down comforters, soft flannel sheets) and the kitchen is even fully equipped enough to handle the preparation and serving of a four course New Year's Eve dinner for six. This place was mighty fine. You have great taste in furniture. There was enough towels for all three days and enough sheets to kep us all warm and fuzzy wuzzy inside. I have a lot more to right but we have to leave right now. It was a real treat to find out that you guys really know what it takes to go beyond and above the Tahoe rental cabin standard. We shall come back as consistently as every bad Star Wars film. The hot tub was icing on the cake!

Too Much Snow!! Never though I would say that on a skiing vacation. Hope to return to Tahoe again. I hear there's a Lake and mountains here. Lovely home, thanks for all the plowing.
