Hello from Beautiful Lake Tahoe!
We created the "Bears Den" at Lake Tahoe for the most discriminating vacationer and designed it as if we were checking into ourselves! Remodeled with a Tahoe flair, and designed for the vacation rental guest. With vaulted pine ceilings, cozy river rock wood burning fireplace, surround sound Satellite TV with DVD/VCR, very private deck with Hot Springs Hot Tub and log and pine furniture throughout this is exactly the Tahoe get-a-way you have been dreaming of! Since the original complete remodel we have replaced the living room/kitchen floors with a durable pergo/wood look, added accent paint and more deck furniture. We listen to our guests and make upgrades as needed!
Located in an upscale and secluded area of South Lake Tahoe this home is 20 minutes to the lodge at Sierra At Tahoe, 15 minutes (+-) to Heavenly and 40 minutes to Kirkwood. Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake are just minutes away as well and all the glitter of the heart of South Shores famous casinos are 15 minutes away!
Take a stroll down the street and hike into the Lake Tahoe backcountry and Desolation Wilderness. If you love to ski, snowshoe, cross country ski, sled, mountain bike, hike or just goof off this is your next vacation destination. By the way, we provide all linens including flannel sheets, cozy down comforters and towels. It truly is all right here at "The Bears Den"!

You have an awesome property. The minute we came in we felt welcome. It was a very homey feel, very comfortable. We all enjoyed the spa, We all loved hanging out in the living room, laughing, having quality time with each other. All of us cook so we all had a chance in experiencing how easy it is to work around your kitchen. We are already planning our return trip here. Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? We are so happy we found out about the Bear's Den on Craig's list! So lovely and comfortable, clean and sunny, private and with such gorgeous views of the trees and snowbanks. Our children were safe and content here.Truly a family friendly home. And we loved all the log furniture and well equipped kitchen. Why the Owner Chose Other South Lake Tahoe Properties:
We live in the neighborhood and for years watched the cabin sit empty. When the opportunity came to purchase we bought the cabin and remodeled it from the studs up. We love the neighborhood and Tahoe and wanted a place to share with family, friends and guests.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of our good friends who stays at the Bear's Den frequently says he sleeps better here than anywhere else in all his travels. The peace and quiet is wonderful. Sit on the back deck on a summer evening and stare at the stars.
