  Six of us rented El Encanto to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday in april. The house was amazing, comfortable, absolutely beautiful, full of art work and sculpture, hammocks, beautiful gardens, birds. The managers were totally accommodating and even baked a chocolate cake for the birthday girl! The library was full of good books and great movies. The top floor offers a fantastic view of the Sea, the town and the nearby mountains, and was a perfect place to observe the stars at night. Each of the three bedrooms offer unique amenities. It's a perfect place for relaxation, good food, diving, kayaking, fishing. We certainly plan on returning.

  ...every view from inside or out is a work of art. The house and gardens are beautiful. So much more to see and enjoy than photos can show. You won't be disappointed! A chorus of birds quietly sang for us every morning as well as visiting the numerous bird feeders around the property. The gardens are full of interesting plants. I mostly staying in, investigating the gardens and artwork, watched a nice selection of foreign movies and just enjoyed the peace and quiet while my son went on scuba diving trips nearby. The full kitchen, indoor/outdoor sound system, BBQ and nice linens added to our comfort. We left El Encanto relaxed and refreshed. Don't miss out on this gem of a vacation home!

  We just spent 10 days in Cabo Pulmo for our honeymoon and it was fabulous! The house is wonderful! It was located close enough to walk to the beach and all the restaurants in town but quiet and relaxing. The house is well equipped with everything you need to cook meals and the outdoor seating is fabulous for dinners on the deck. The fans in the house make it comfortable to be in even when it is hot and they even have games/movies and books so that you can entertain yourself however you prefer. We will be returning to El Encanto, it was a beautiful house and not to mention the beautiful garden and art that is scattered throughout the property!

  We were thrilled to be your first guests at El Encanto de Cabo Pulmo. The home and gardens far exceeded our expectations. We are building a Baja home of our own not far from Cabo Pulmo, and we found your design and details inspirational. I love your colors! And the art everywhere made it such a rich experience.   El Encanto is simply stunning. We didn't expect such advanced architecture in this sleepy town. The builders included a level of design detail that is both inventive and welcoming. And the colors! The landscaping! The art! The entire effect is both luxurious and whimsical. Plus soft linens, full kitchen, hammocks wih a view of the sea, accent lighting, beach equipment, everything! A perfect retreat after a day of snorkeling in the crystalline waters.

  We just returned from a week at your desert palace and couldn't have been more delighted! There was everything needed... hand cream in the bathrooms, flashlights in the drawer, hot water in the tiled showers, orange juice maker and coffee in the kitchen... two fabulous hosts who were there when we needed them but never invading our privacy. Kimmie's cooking was excellent... her key lime pie was soo good... even our teenaged grandson raved about her dishes. We kept discovering paintings and folk art and mosaics... like we were living in a museum. The garden sculptures, plants, and birds made for great watching... the fountain a work of art in itself. Lizards during the day and geckoes at night... bat rays jumping in the sea. The second story hammocks and patio were another favorite place for just hanging out waiting for sunrises and sunsets to colour the sky. Thank you for sharing this amazing place... we loved it!

  I don't even know how to begin…. Your house is a masterpiece. I thought I would never be so bold with form and color, but now my eyes are open. Your house is like a dream vacation in itself, stuck in my imagination. Thank you for the inspiration!

  When you pull into the driveway, prepare to be blown away. You walk through the gates guarded by the Bandito and stand in the midst of the garden filled with buzzing bees, birds and other natural wonders. Yes, the website pictures are all true--the colors, the furniture, the paintings--it was all there. You will LOVE this place...from the hospitality of Karl and Kimmie to the DVD collection to the very curious hummingbirds, this place is for sure, a slice of paradise. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

  We have spent the most glorious time at El Encanto. We all want to thank you for sharing this special place. You have created a real haven for the birds. I could have spent all day just watching them. Having all the bird books added to the enjoyment.El Encanto is truly enchanting. I have never been in a place where there is such incredible attention to detail. Everywhere one looks there is yet another charming detail. The colors all work and of course the art is the frosting on the cake.

Cancellation policy:

CHECK IN/OUT: Check in is 3 P.M. and check out is 10 A.M.   SMOKING:  Smoking inside is strictly prohibited.  Please smoke outdoors only and take care to extinguish smoking materials in non-combustible containers.   PETS:  Pets are specifically forbidden.   HOUSEKEEPING: For stays of a week or longer, one cleaning every 3-4 days is provided during your stay.    DAMAGE: Renters are liable for all damage except normal wear and tear.   INTERNET: Internet may be used only for email and web browsing (no downloading or streaming audio/video).   PAYMENT: An advance payment of 25% of the rental rate is required to secure a reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival date.   CANCELLATIONS: Reservations under deposit and cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival are fully refunded, less a $75 cancellation fee and any credit card bank service fee. Reservations under deposit and/or full payment cancelled less 60 days of arrival are non-refundable.  If space is re-sold following cancellation, full refund will be made, less $150 cancellation fee and credit card bank fees. There is no adjustment/refund for inclement weather except for hurricanes.   HURRICANE CANCELLATION POLICY: If the State of Baja Sur posts a Hurricane Watch or Hurricane Warning, guests may depart at their discretion.  Unused nights may be credited to a future stay.   MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests limited to the number specified above.     EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
