This cozy house is in beautiful Old Homestead I. Located a block from the beach and a few doors down from a park. The park consists of a tennis court, basketball court, baseball diamond, and swings. The beach has sand volleyball. The private beach is one of the best in Huron!
This "cottage" has over 2000 square feet which includes a large living room, family room, eat-in kitchen, dining room, two full baths, laundry room, and five bedrooms. There is plenty of room for the entire family! There is a brick patio and a picnic table in the back of the house.
There is a garage, but it is not available for your car. It is filled with bicycles, tennis rackets, beach toys, lawn chairs, beach umbrella and a grill to use during your stay.
Off season there is a two night minimum. Imagine strolling along Lake Erie beach in the spring when the flowers are just coming up. Huron is beautiful in the fall with the autumn leaves, too. You can walk down to the pier by the lighthouse and spend the day fishing. Lake Erie is spectacular in the winter also.
Do you want to golf? There are several nice golf courses within 15 minutes of house. Imagine golfing at Sawmill Creek while having the beautiful view of Lake Erie at the same time. Huron also has Thunderbird North and Thunderbird South Golf Courses. There is so much to do in this area!
Close by activities: Cedar Point, Kalahari & Great Wolf Lodge Water Indoor Parks, Lake Erie Islands, Golfing, Nature Walks, Wineries, African Safari Wildlife Park, shopping, restaurants, hiking, birding, golfing and fishing. Huron has a 110-dock municipal Boat Basin and Amphitheater where there is FREE live entertainment every weekend during the summer months.
If you just want to relax, then you are at the right place to be. Just spend the day at the beach and enjoy Lake Erie!

Just returned from our second year at this wonderful cottage. Plenty of room for all of us in a safe and very friendly neighborhood. Everything is supplied so it can be a one-stop vacation, or you can go to the many activities close by. Beach, playground, shopping, parks, restaurants, fishing, etc. all are within walking distance. Cottage is clean, roomy, and very comfortable. Toys, chairs, wagons, are all supplied, We are already counting the weeks to next year. Owners couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I highly recommend.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful week at this comfortable home only 2 blocks away from a lovely private Lake Erie beach. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood. Perfect for our needs for a getaway with adult children and a toddler granddaughter. The house was clean & fresh. The owner was very helpful and gracious. We would definitely stay here again. Lake Erie activities such as Cedar Point are only minutes away as well as many restaurants and shopping venues but Huron itself is a quiet little town. There are hiking trails nearby also.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
