And, since this is a corner unit, enjoy the extra side view down the white sand beach towards Black Rock from the floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows. Only 20 yards from the beach, it's the ideal spot to see humpback whales, monk seals, or dolphins! You might even spot a sea turtle!

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and more, even a spice rack, to prepare a perfect sunset meal to enjoy at the beautiful marble dining table or on your lanai.
Three cable TVs (all high end flat screen LCD TVs), broadband high speed satellite internet and wireless access, CD stereo with iPOD docking, and DVD players add to your entertainment.

Why the Owner Chose Mahana
We fell in love with the Mahana in 1977. We were walking along the beach. The sun was setting between the islands of Lanai and Molokai. It was the most amazing sight! We turned around and saw Mahana. We knew right then and there that we had to buy one of these beachfront homes. For us it was the view and the view and the view! We bought our first Mahana condo (#818) then. We bought another condo (#708) in 2001 and this one (#819) from long-term residents in 2004.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
For us it’s a home away from home. In winter we love watching the whales, in summer it’s the dolphins and turtles. I love getting up to see the dawn coming up over the ocean. My husband is mesmerized by the stars. We all enjoy walking or jogging on the beach, swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear blue water, exploring all the other nearby beaches, Kapalua Bay, Napili Bay, Fleming Beach, Honolua Bay. We also love going to the Farmers market for fresh papaya and mangos and finding local fish to grill back at the Mahana. It’s the majesty of the ocean and the mountains. It’s the trade winds and the friendly people. It’s something else, totally special that is just impossible to describe. You have to come to Maui and the Mahana and you will experience it yourself!

We both grew up by the sea, David in Ireland, Kathy in San Francisco and we always knew that however far away we moved from it, we would always come back. After we met in college, we traveled much of the world together, but it was Maui and the stretch of beach in front of the Mahana that captured our hearts. We first bought the condo next door to this one in 1977. Over the years, we returned to Maui and the Mahana for a month every summer. For our children, it was a second home. Now young adults, they still love coming back every chance they can. Once you have been to the Mahana, you’ll want to come back too!

My sister and I just returned home from your wonderful stay at your condo on Kaanapali Beach. Your condo was everything I thought it would be and more. Your condo was clean and comfortable, and your corner view and lanai was so beautiful to look from that no one really needs to go outside to enjoy nature's beauty. The day before our leave we got to see a beautiful rainbow over the mountains in the back. It never rained once while we were there for the whole10 days of our stay...only misted a bit. I loved jogging on the beach walk....what a view while jogging! I will miss the very fresh air there along with the beautiful sceneries. We both enjoyed eating at the Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina...the food was delicious and the cost very reasonable. While in Lahaina, we also visited the Jodo Missonary near the beach....there is a large buddha statue there and a graveyard across the street. We also enjoyed the visit to Napili Bay Beach. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your spectacular home! The views were absolutely amazing! We found awesome snorkel spots nearby at Black Rock (Wow!). Saw the best whale sightings right from your condo window! The folks at the Mahana were so friendly too. All in all, this is a Beautiful Place. We love it here! Thank you and we hope to be back!

This was our first experience with VRBO, and although I was a bit nervous about going this route, I have to say it was wonderful experience! The owners were quick to answer questions/concerns. The condo was absoultely beautiful. Even though we have stayed at the Mahana for the last 10-15 years, this was by far one of my favorite trips. The whales were stunning to watch - I couldnt believe some of the whale breaching we saw! The condo's interior was beautifully decorated and very well maintained. I would highly recommend this property, or other's by this owner, to anyone. Actually, I already have :) Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to visit your home!

We had a wonderful time #819! We have been coming to the Mahana for many years and your unit is definitely one of the nicest! Watching the whales breach over morning coffee was great! We just got back from an amazing week spent at your condo. You provided us with everything we needed and felt so at home. The view is breathtaking and enjoyed watching all the whales from the lanai. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home away from home. Your condo is AMAZING and we felt so at home here. The view is like no other. Spectacular! My husband and sister-in-law have been to Maui 10 times and they both agreed that your condo is the best! We loved waking up every morning and eating breakfast on the lanai. It was such a treat to watch all the whales breaching from the window/lanai! The art on the walls was also beautiful. We could go on and on about what we enjoyed here (which was everything). Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back!
