We had a great time in San Diego. The weather was beautiful and the condo was perfect for us. My husband and I wanted a low key vacation and we got just what we wanted. We were able to visit many beautiful area within 10 to 20 minutes from the Condo (from recommendations from the owner of the Condo). We waked to the beach which was less then 1 block away and walked, watched surfers, shopped and sat on the beach. Every morning the City cleaned and racked the beach. Less then a block away we ate at Sara's Mexican Food (wonderful) and also Capris which had great pizza and pasta. It's a walk up and no eating space but took to the Condo and enjoyed eating on the patio. I would visit and stay here again either by ourselves or with our children.

My family and I were in search of a rental property in Mission Beach centrally located from the bay and beach. I looked into several properties and stumbled upon this gem during my search. Lorne the owner was very helpful in working with us on short notice. He was very accomodating and hospitable and more than willing to assist us with our planned vacation on Mission Beach. Lorne was able to provide us with discount passes to Sea World which helped with our budget. I loved being steps away from the beach and bay. In the past we have stayed more on the beach side and although we've had pleasant experiences I will say our stay on the low key bay side was an even better experience. You still get an occasional college group being a bit loud but for the most part it was quite pleasant and quieter. It was a nice suprise being able to view fireworks from the balcony every evening after a relaxing and fun filled day @ the beach. The kids enjoyed boogie boarding daily with the boards provided to us by Lorne. Great food stops within walking distance. I can't say enough good things about our stay here. The condo is well taken care of, comfortable and fit all our needs. Would definetly stay here again!!!!!

We had a fabulous stay at this condo. My husband and I took our 18 and 20 year old daughters. No complaints from anyone! The condo was clean and exactly as pictured. The owner was very helpful and was available and easy to contact before and during our vacation. It's no problem to get anywhere from this location. We rented a car at the airport which is <10 minutes away. Also, the price is better than staying in a hotel and this way you are able to prepare your own food as well as have place to go to when you want a little private time away from the others. I have and will continue to recommend this condo to my friends. A week wasn't enough time to see it all, but we were able to go to: The San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, LaJolla, Coronado, Balboa Park, Mount Soledad and The San Diego Wildlife Safari Zoo ( We went ziplining there - do it!). Buy a three in one ticket for the two zoos and Sea World online. You get free tram rides, bus rides, gondola rides, etc. when you buy this way. Also, ask Lorne about a marshmallow roast on the beach. Josh does a great job setting up the essentials for you (for a small fee), you just show up and have a family bonfire! When we got to the condo at around 6:00 p.m. after a day out, the girls loved to go out to the beach or shopping or the amusement park across the street. FYI, buying food at the parks is ridiculously expensive. It was approximately $75 for the four of us just to have a combo burger meal. Pack some sandwiches, chips and drinks in a backpack to save a fortune. We didn't do this, but would've if we were better organized. Lorne, thanks for the memories! We had the best time! We'll stay at your place on our next trip to SD! Hope it's soon!

Wow, what a fabulous condo! The place is beautiful, really well appointed and adorable. The decor was very well considered and instantly made us feel both relaxed and right at home. We felt like we were staying in a little slice of heaven. Its so conveniently located and close to food, the beaches, and many attractions. If you want a place that feels like a luxury condo and your own home instead of the boring hotel vibe, you won't be let down!

My husband and I stayed here in January for a little couple time away from our kiddos. We loved that the condo is by the beach and right in town for walking and shopping, coffee shops and cafes etc. It's important to us to stay in a modern place while vacationing and we love that there were so many nice upgrades and custom features, we can't wait to visit again! The starry night on the master bedroom ceiling is amazing, gorgeous full kitchen and double shower head shower and jacuzzi tub stood out to us as well!

Great Girls Get-a-Way!!!!

Perfect Girls Escape! My girlfriends and I were able to sneak away from the snow for a week to warm San Diego. Best thing we ever did. We stayed at this condo and had a great time. We found this condo on VRBO.com and after calling a few different agencies and owners; we all agreed that this one just "felt right". The owner was very prompt, honest, trustworthy, and accommodating which is always nice when you're flying all the way across the country based off of some internet ad! We were close enough to grab a cab to Garnet Ave's night life and also the Gas Lamp Distric. There are some great bars in San Diego and the guys are WAY better looking in California than Ohio. (and more in-shape that's for sure!!) LOL. We love the San Diego Beaches but we may go to L.A. for our next girls trip. If we come back to the San Diego we will stay at this condo if we can since we loved the new kitchen, and this beach area location. Thanks : )

5 stars. We stayed here over the Holidays with some of our extended family. The kitchen worked out well because there is different kinds of seating. The kids loved the booth. Great area for couples or kids. There is a small grocery and liquor store that is walking distance, and there are lots of neat things for the kids to do. The Beach is only a few hundred feet in either direction. Clean condo, and nice owner. Thank you.

This is a nice clean & well kept condo. We especially liked walking the boardwalk after dinner. My husband talked me into renting a Kayak and paddling around the bay, it was beautiful. There are lots of seals and pelicans over by the fishing boats in the marina area. The seals come right up to the Kayak to say “hello”. If you stay here we suggest one night of dinner on Prospect St in La Jolla. It's very close to the condo and there are some fabulous restaurants located right on the cliff with an ocean view.

We have stayed at this condo three times now when we come out from Phoenix. The owner is always very down to earth and accommodating. This condo is always clean (which I appreciate) and there is so much for the kids to do! The area is very safe. The master bedroom has these stars that light up on the ceiling and there is a Jacuzzi Spa tub in the master bath. A few years back we tried hotels, but the San Diego Hotels are WAY too expensive and then we found this unit online. Great value and we will definitely be back!

Super clean Two bedroom Condo----- with nice neighbors!!!

We have stayed at this South Mission Beach condo on multiple occasions, and enjoyed each and every stay thoroughly. The owner is a private person, not some agency, and he is very laid back & easy going. We also like the neighbors in this condo building. The property is very clean & well maintained and it really shows that the owner cares. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has all the equipment you will need, and the location just can't be beat! We go to the grocery stores (Ralphs, Vons and Henry's are not too far away) so that we could BBQ & cook at the house. One Saturday night we did go out to dinner at Po' Pazzo in San Diego's Little Italy....(Little Italy is about a 10 minute drive from the condo). We would highly recommend Po' Pazzo, and the Little Italy area----it has a great vibe and awesome food with romantic lighting & booths! We particularly enjoy being walking distance to the Belmont Park area . There are a variety of shops, a beautiful park with palm tress, and some restaurants and bars. Recommended for: Seniors, Girls getaway, tourists without a car, families with kids and teenagers.

Man, I wish I lived here. San Diego and especially South Mission Beach must be the nicest area in the United States. I reserve this condo twice per year when I'm in town on business. This is one of the few business trips that my wife insists upon coming with me. She reads, shops in La Jolla, and enjoys the beach while I catch up with clients. There is a great little Municipal Golf course which is not crowded a few minutes away, and I always hit Torrey Pines Golf course which is about 10 minutes from the condo. My wife and I enjoy walking on the Boardwalk during sunset. Last time out went to La Jolla cove and at a Georges---it was out of this world. Great condo, great city, great rates, and the owner is a good guy to deal with.

Very Centrally Located

Every year my best friend and I drive out and take our Golf / Padres Baseball vacation. This condo is located right in the center of it all. There are over 90 golf courses in San Diego and most of them are only 10-30 minutes from Mission Beach. This year we tried The Grand Del Mar Golf Course which was out of this world! We also caught a 3 game home stand down at Petco Park. Petco is only about 10 minutes away. As far as Mission Beach Condo rentals go….this is about as good as it gets. Go Padres!

We live in San Jose and have vacationed in Mission Beach for over 15 years. This was by far the most hassle- free trip that we have ever taken. We located this rental on VRBO and found the owner to be very polite and professional during the booking. The condo was very clean and exactly as advertised in the pictures. By far the nicest condo for the price! We have already reserved our week for next year!! Thanks : )

This was our second time staying at this two bedroom condo and we had a great time (again)! We have vacationed in San Diego for many years and learned a little secret----Always stay in "South" Mission, not "Mission Beach", or "Pacific Beach". We had some long time friends from San Diego who let us in on a little secret that "South Mission" was known by locals as the "quiet beach area". Well, it's true, we have stayed in this condo 2 times and it is A LOT quieter than the ones we previously rented in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. My husband needs to escape the heat in July, and at this condo we do not need Air Conditioning. This year our grand kids visited and they loved the Roller Coaster area and the Belmont Park wave pool. I personally like to read and have a glass of wine in the Jacuzzi bath before bedtime. My husband plays Golf with an old-time Navy friend at a couple of the local courses in the area. There is also a local bar that is a few courts down called the Beachcomber and its very relaxed and friendly.

I am a single mom with three kids under the age of 12 so value and safety are important to me. I was a little nervous renting over the Internet and over the phone for our summer vacation, but the owner was very trust worthy, polite and not pushy with me at all. The place was clean, and the kids had plenty of room to sleep. Mission Beach has an amusement park area that kept the kids busy so I could actually finally have a glass of wine and read : ) I would recommend this condo rental and this area because the owner was easy to deal with and the price is well within my budget. We hope to make it back next summer and will rent this condo again if it is available. Thanks You : )

Nice rental in a quieter area of Mission Beach

This rental was very nice and comfortable sized for four people. The owner was attentive to our needs after checking in and the rental was uniquely decorated. Property was clean, in good repair and had nice sized rooms for the San Diego beach area. Close to local small shops, food and the entertainment area. Beach is literally 2 minute walk and the on site parking is extremely nice. Elevator and laundry facilities are also a plus. Would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay.
