Le Macine is a rare find. Located in the breathtaking landscape, on the rolling hills of the well-known Compitese, Le Macine has been completely restored in spring-summer 2007 in an authentic layout, according to the building, which was a small oilmill, one of the typical red Tuscan brick building that made this area famous all over the world for it's extra virgin olive oil.
Le Macine has a lush large garden, with wood oven, as patio to have dining outside and a stone path on the bank of the small river that made this oilmill working for more than 100 years.
The interiors are complete according to the traditional tuscan style, with a fine kitchen made of stones, orned with wooden antiques as the living room is furnished with very old sofas, chairs, tables and clocks.
At the first floor, there are 3 bright and cozy bedrooms, with large and high windows orned by tuscan red bricks and furnished with the Letti della Nonna or grandma's bed and wardrobe. Two elegant bathrooms are readily available for your use.
