Wonderful location and facility

The home was exactly as described and provided a much needed retreat for me and my sisters. One of my sisters kept remarking, "I could live in this house." The warmth of the decor and the ammenities helped to make us feel welcomed and right at home. The convenience of the location was another plus. We could within 10 - 15 minutes be in the heart of the action but just as quickly be able to retreat to the peaceful surroundings of the home. The home owner was very easy to work with and very responsive to questions regarding the rental. Thank you for helping to make our Annual Sisters Retreat such a relaxing and meaningful time.

A delightful family vacation

As a family of four we spent three weeks vacation at Mountains Edge during one of the region’s record hot summers! We found the property to be exactly as described. We were pleased with the range of seating options on the deck and around the pool and particularly delighted with the additional of a gazebo with a table and soft chair by the pool which provided most welcome shade during the very hot spell. The constant depth pool was crystal clear and carefully maintained during our stay. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean and delightfully cool and we felt at home immediately. The owner of the property lives nearby and we found him and his family extremely helpful though very discrete. We had carefully researched our three week stay and had found the information about the local area provided in advance by the owner invaluable to our planning. Mountains Edge is at the end of a short private road in a pleasant and very quiet residential area at the foot of Lookout Mountain. The surrounding area is delightfully green and wooded. Surprisingly, in 20 minutes or less easy drive, you are in downtown Chattanooga. We found dozens of restaurants to eat, either in the city near the riverfront or out of town but all within 30 minutes drive. Places and activities that we tried and would recommend include, in and around Chattanooga, a river cruise on the Tennessee River (go for the more personal and knowledgeable Blue Moon cruise), and visits to the Art District (Rembrandts Coffee House is all it’s reputed to be), the Aquarium and Ruby Falls. To the south is the delightful and historical village of Chickamauga whilst Cloudland fully met our expectations of America’s clean and well maintained state parks. Further afield a trip to the Smoky Mountains at the southern end of the Appellations is a must. The Walker family from Lancashire UK

My family and I rented the house for a long weekend in Feb. 2010. We were very pleased with the house and the location that it has to all the places we wanted to go. The owner was very nice to work with and we are planning on returning in the warmer weather so we can enjoy the great pool. We had 5 people in our group and everyone was very comfortable and had room to space out....so much better than staying in a hotel and the cost is very reasonable. It snowed while we were there and the kids had great fun having a yard to play in the snow. We also received our refund of the security deposit soon after we got home. Wonderful Getaway

My family (2 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 toddlers) and I enjoyed a wonderful 4 day stay the weekend before Labor Day. The house was spotless, the pool was fantastic, and my son thoroughly enjoyed his "private loft". The location of the house made getting into and out of Chattanooga very easy. The peace and quite was exactly what we needed and highly recommend this house for anyone looking. The owner had everything as promised and we will most likely look to rent this place again on our next trip back to Chattanooga.

A Fabulous place to stay near Chattanooga!

We just returned this evening from our weeklong stay at this home - it was the perfect choice for our co-vacationing families. The pool, about 3 - 4 ft. deep was exactly what we needed - just the right depth for two kids to safely enjoy but plenty big enough for the adults to float in and relax. The suntan room was a wonderful bonus. The house has a bedroom and a loft and the playroom with the fold out couch had ample extra room for the rollaway bed. We chose to bring a blow-up mattress and there was plenty of floor room for it in any of the rooms. Our stay included 4 adults, a 17 year old and 2 youngsters (age 7 and 10). Having this home to retreat to in between the local tourist stops was the best choice we could have made. It was large enough so that we never tripped over each other, an easy drive in to Chattanooga, and in a relaxing quiet area. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone - it was great for our two families. Enjoy your stay - we did!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The lodge is clean and bright, the pool is sparkling, the towels are big and fluffy, everything about our stay was excellent . The location is very convenient to the local attractions. We would not hesitate to stay there again on our next visit to Chattanooga. Thanks David!
