Rich & Carol, thank you both so much for providing a wonderful home-base for our hiking vacation! We have all truly enjoyed our stay -- it was a great area for Winnie, our dog, to explore; plus, she made friends with Roxie and Bentley, the two local canine characters. We had no idea if she would enjoy hiking, but guess what? She led us on a few 4+ milers and several shorter ones. Your collection of hiking/exploring books were a tremendous help in finding some choice trails, including The Bartram Trail, Appalachian Trail, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Black Rock State Park, White Rock Mountain, Warwoman Dell and Hemlock Falls. We also enjoyed visiting the Persimmon Creek Winery – what a beautiful place! After all of our ventures in the area, it was so nice to come back to your well-equipped home where we could relax, have dinner and walk up to The Summit to enjoy the beautiful sunsets! Good job! Wonderful place -- outstanding views and very comfortable accommodations!

May 8, 2010 We had a great two weeks in your Clayton vacation rental. The view from almost every part of the house was spectacular. The condo is very spacious and is well stocked with everything we needed. All the furniture is extremely comfortable. One of the things that impressed us most was the total peace and quiet of the location, yet a short 1.6 mile drive down the road put us right in the midst of restaurants, gas stations, groceries, and everything else that the city provides. We used your condo as a base, from which we traveled to many beautiful state parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, and some of the most photogenic scenery we have ever seen. Dealing with the owners was a total pleasure. Communication was fast and friendly, and instructions and suggestions were plentiful and very helpful. In short, everything was good, nothing was bad, and we recommend your condo without reservation. Thanks, Larry

Rich and Carol. What a wonderful place to stay! Your townhome is very, very nice and extremely well equipped. We especially enjoyed the master suite and the decks. The view is amazing. Even on the one rainy day, we just couldn't stop looking at that view. We will certainly recommend Halfway to Heaven to all our friends who enjoy a tranquil and beautiful setting. We'll be back. Wow!! What a wonderful place to stay!! Anything you need is all here!! The view is amazing!! The beds are so comfortable. The condo is immaculate. We had our rehershal dinner here and it turned out great. My bridesmaids and maid of honor stayed friday night and we had so much fun sitting by the fireplace playing games and drinking wine. My cousins came up on Saturday morning to do my hair and makeup and it was so nice to have all of the space in the master bathroom not to mention the breathtaking view from the big window above the hot tub. Steve and I came back on Saturday night and enjoyed it so much. We didn't get to stay as long as we wanted but our time there will always be remembered!! Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!! We'll be back for sure!!

For the first 10 minutes after our arrival, all we could do was stand on the deck and look in amazement at the view. "Halfway to Heaven" it truly is! What an amazing vista. As for the accommodations - you have thought of everything. It is easy to feel at home here because nothing is missing! We really appreciated all the "amenities". Our stay was short, but we would love to come again - and I will be sure to tell many people about VRBO and "Halfway to Heaven". If only they could see this view! Thanks for everything!

My family and I just spent two weeks at Halfway to Heaven. I must say the place exceeded our expectations. The townhouse is extremely comfortable and has everything that you could possibly need for a great stay. The view is simply magnificent. Pictures are not enough to capture the beauty of such a wonderful place. Richard and Carol are very pleasant and accommodating. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

What a beautiful place to stay. The house was extremely clean and neat upon our arrival. We really appreciated the complete peacefulness and quiet upon returning after our days adventures. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck with our morning coffee watching the mist rise over the mountains. We highly recomend the home to others looking for a peaceful place to spend a vacation in this beautiful area of Georgia.

Great place with an unbelievable view. Everything was set up to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Beautiful place in great shape with all the ammenities. Located at the top of a moutain and can see for miles from any one of three balconies. Huge Master Bedroom. Will certainly return.

What a blessing you are to share this beautiful house with others. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would love to come back. Our real reason for coming to the mountains was to attend a football game at WCU. Staying here allowed us to enjoy the awesome scenic views in addition to the game. My wife and I certainly enjoyed our three weeks here. The amenities are nice and the view fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the master suite and the screened porch. We also loved the close proximity to Clayton, Ingles, the book store and Reeves hardware.

We vacationed in your mountaintop home in July of 2007. It was absolutely perfect. We had everything we needed right there, and so we barely even left the house- the view was so awesome every moment of the day, that it was great to just sit on one of the balconies and enjoy the environment, the sounds, and the fresh air. We had a great time and found the home extremely comfortable and cozy- which was kind of surprising for such a spacious house! Thank you so much for welcoming us into this home. We would highly recommend it for all others who want a comfortable place, a fantastic mountain view, and a relaxing getaway. I look forward to coming back to stay there again soon!

We loved your beautiful mountaintop home and can't wait to return. The view was indeed awesome. We enjoyed relaxing out on any of the 3 decks and taking in the panoramic views of the suuronding mountains and valleys. The unit was wondefully furnished with more ammenities (TVs, DVDs, WI-FI, etc.) than we have at home. With 3 floors, 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths we had plenty of room (next time we'll invite friends). When we weren't relaxing and taking in the views there was so much to do. We rented a poontoon and enjoyed a beautiful day on Lake Burton, we hiked into the Tallulah gorge, and enjoyed dinner at the Dillard House. My wife enjoyed our visit to Persimmon Creek winery. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We look forward to retuning again soon.
