Welcome to our Hawaii vacation home!
Our completely renovated one-bedroom condo sleeps four, and is located between the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Hawaii Prince Hotel, with a full 180 degree view of the the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and the crystal blue Pacific Ocean beyond. The Ilikai Marina #590 is a very sophisticated location from which to enjoy Waikiki, Honolulu, and all of Oahu!
Your comfortable living room has sliding glass doors to the private lanai, cable TV equipped with DVD, VCR and remote, and stereo that plays CDs and cassettes. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room sleeps two. Air-conditioning combined with soft tropical breezes and afternoon trade winds keep you comfortable year round.
Your kitchen is fully equipped - lots of cookware and utensils, dishes, coffee maker and other small appliances, microwave, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Everything you need to prepare a quick breakfast, sunset drinks and puu-puu’s (appetizers), or a gourmet meal is provided. You choose whether to dine at the glass top dining table that seats four, or in one of the many and varied restaurants that Waikiki is famous for! There are four excellent restaurants right on the ground floor of the Ilikai Marina: The Chart House (the only one on Oahu), The Outback Steakhouse, the Red Lobster, and the Harbor Pub.
Your bedroom closes completely from the living room with a distinctive sliding wall. It has a California King bed that can be separated into 2 twin beds, and air-conditioning as well. The bathroom can be accessed from either the living room or the bedroom. In the bathroom there is a full tub and shower combination, sink, and large vanity area.
(Linens, beach towels, beach chairs and coolers are provided for your use. Daily or weekly maid service can be arranged if you so desire.)
Lovely beaches are everywhere! The north end of beautiful Waikiki Beach is 200 yards from the lobby door and is easily accessed by a private elevated walkway. Just opened is the beach and salt water lagoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, only steps away. A short walk in the opposite direction brings you to Ala Moana Beach Park which includes over 100 acres of picnic areas, tennis courts, and more. Fronting the park is a white sand beach over one-half mile long with a deep swimming channel which is noted for its excellent swimming, surfing, and body boarding. The eastern portion of the park is a peninsula, extending seaward to a lagoon and a white sand beach called Magic Island.
Make it an evening ritual to watch the gorgeous sunsets from your lanai. You will never tire of the magnificent displays! It’s a wonderful opportunity to refresh before an exhilarating evening out, or a quiet evening relaxing at home.
Ready for some excitement? The heart of Waikiki is within easy walking distance, or can be reached conveniently via the Waikiki trolley which stops regularly in front of the Ilikai Marina Lobby. Visit the International Marketplace, famed Royal Hawaiian Hotel (the mai tai was invented here; have one at sunset while listening to Hawaiian music at the Mai Tai Bar), Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu Zoo, or climb Diamond Head Crater, there’s so much to do! There’s also Chinatown in Honolulu, The Polynesian Cultural Center on the North Shore, many botanical gardens, the Byodo-In Temple, Iolani Palace, Hawaii Maritime Center, Hawaii’s Plantation Village, Aloha Tower Marketplace, Arizona Memorial and more…whew!
And shopping! The Ala Moana Mall, Hawaii’s largest mall with over 260 shops, fine-dining restaurants and an international food court will entertain you for an hour or the entire day. It’s a short ten minute walk from your island home. About 30 minutes away by car or The Bus are the Waikele Premium Outlets with 50 stores offering impressive savings on designer fashions for the whole family
If you opt to rent a car, free parking is available outside at the marina, or you can park in the covered garage on site for $15/day. Our floor is the highest floor that you can access directly from the garage without taking the elevator, so you can walk directly from your car to our unit. It doesn’t get any more convenient than this!
