This 6 bedroom, 3 bath Mountain home, sits on a beautiful meadow surrounded by pine trees. The back door exists out to the hiking trails that could start a great day of exploring. Just 2 miles from the Lake, 4 miles to Northstar, and within 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Golf? yes. 2 miles to the Brockway Golf Course, and minutes to 5 other courses. If skiing is a pastime, shops, restaurants, snow mobiling, kayak and bike rentals, and nightlife at the casinos are by the Lake and within 3 miles to the house. The casinos on the North Shore are known for their music venues and spa services.
This house has the space for a large family gathering, or group of friends. As you walk in the front door, you are greeted with a massive river rock fireplace, high A frame ceilings, pool table, windows looking out to the meadow, and open floor plan. Knotty pine paneling and stain glass accents surrounds the 'Great Room.' A large sectional and scattered ottomans faces the fireplace and entertainment center with LCD TV, stereo, and DVD player. A slider opens out to the top wrap-around deck with patio furniture and barbeque. Its great to sit out here and breath in the trees. There is a front deck, wrap around back deck, and forest deck hosting the hot tub.
Nicknamed the 'TreeHaus,' your view is of the towering pine trees and seasonal creek. The house sits on a meadow with endless hiking trails, on a gentle slope for sledding in the wintertime. A path from the house leads to North National Park which has ball fields, a Frisbee golf course, picnic areas, and hiking and biking trails. In the wintertime, bring your cross country ski's or snow shoes. The trails from the house are well used in both the summer and winter months.
The open living area has a pool table and a large dining room table, both facing the fireplace and kitchen. A well appointed kitchen with wrap-around counters, and breakfast bar that seats 5, allows for all to watch the chef cook.
Down the hall are stairs leading to a combination queen bedroom. This is a great spot for the kids, or large bedroom for a couple. There is a queen bed, bathroom, TV and a door that exits out to the bottom deck with hot tub, and access to hiking trails. The hot tub is on its own deck and looks outs onto the meadow and creek. This is the place to relax and enjoy the wildlife, and sounds of a forest.
On the main level, is a large Master bedroom with King bed, twin bed, walk in closet, and TV/DVD. The bedrooms have 'Hotel Style' bedding with duvet, plisse bed cover, bed throw and extra pillows which contributes to a good nights sleep. A slider exists out to a semi private deck overlooking the meadow. The bedroom is also connected to a full bathroom with double sinks. You have access to the bathroom from the hallway or Master Bedroom.
Up the stairs are 4 more bedrooms, and another full bathroom. To the left of the hallway is an enclosed private loft queen bedroom that has a skylight for star gazing, and single child's bed. Down the hall is a spacious bedroom with a King and twin bed. There is extra floor space here for the little ones. Next to that room is a bunk room with full size bottom and single top that adjoins to another large enclosed private loft bedroom with queen bed, and 2 twins.
Want to bring your boat and need parking? No problem. There is a garage for your 'stuff' and lots of parking in the summertime.
Located on a cul de sac, you'll see more people walking their dogs, than cars passing by.
Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and special is the tone of this home. The decor is mountain lodge, which compliments the Tahoe feeling, and amenities and location should amplify your vacation stay.

Summer Fun in Lake Tahoe!
Summer Fun in Lake Tahoe!

This house gave us a wonderful venue where we could bring together our adult children and three grandchildren for two weeks, including the 4th of July holiday. When the parents of the two toddlers visited, the third floor was a perfect haven. The lower level provided our teenage visitor with the space she desired and an opportunity to sharpen her pool game. We enjoyed long lazy dinners together on the great porch that features a grill and a large table. In short, the house was a marvelous place for our family. The Park area is fun for kids who want to play frisbee golf and has lots of fields for playing soccer. Summer lunch at Blue Onion following a round of golf was a treat. Owner Sandy was easy to contact and very helpful. The house was is in great condition and featured comfy beds and a hot tub. Everything needed in an excellent rental is here. I suspect that if something were lacking, it would be taken care of! While in Kings Beach we visited lakefront Jasons, one of our favorite restaurants, played golf at the many courses within 10 miles, and enjoyed the 4th of July Holiday and the fireworks at the lake. We love summer in Lake Tahoe!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Charming Cabin near Northstar!

I recently stayed at the Treehaus cabin with 10 adults. We were in Tahoe to run the September 22 Tough Mudder race being held at Northstar. We found the cabin to be PERFECT for our needs. The beds were comfortable and the living room/kitchen was open and pleasant. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after the race and the balcony off the living room was a great spot to BBQ/hang out for everyone. Another very helpful "amenity" was there is a Safeway just 2 or 3 miles away! That proved to invaluable as we had forgotten a few items when we packed. The only critiques I really have for the cabin is that there were several burned out light bulbs that needed to be replaced (just went to Safeway) and we had a minor complaint about the bunk beds upstairs needing new mattresses. That said: I highly recommend the cabin to anyone looking to stay in the North Lake Tahoe area.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

The house is on a nice lot with a forest in the back. Twelve adults stayed at the house and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and the house had a nice layout. We enjoyed our stay at the TreeHaus and would return in the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Ok, we loved your house!!!! It was perfect and had everything we needed. We appreciate how beautiful and clean you keep everything, the women loved all the cute decorations and we felt right at home. It had such a warm welcoming and it felt like a home instead of just somewhere you stay when you’re on vacation. You definitely have a repeat customer.Did you find this review helpful? Thank you so much for offering your beautiful Cabin to our family. The kids had never seen snow before and having the backyard a playground for snow play was exactly what we needed. They spent all day out there, while the adults enjoyed the beautiful fireplace inside. The Cabin had everything we needed, and loved the extra details in the house like the pine tree paintings. We went to ski, but ended up being perfectly content stayed at the house. We will be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

really nice cabin on a quiet cul de sac just up the road from Kings Beach...well appointed, in great shape and lots of room. we have 2 little kids under 5 and they had a blast: the games, hot tub, tv's and exploring outside were more than enough for them...Northstar is perfect for them to ski at and very easy to get to. The cabin was clean and warm with everything you need: kitchen supplies, washer dryer, internet, pool table, fireplace, etc. we will be back! Thank you Norman... Sandy is easy to deal with in every way. This mountain home is attractive and very tidy upon our arrival. Beds are all very comfortable and the many bathrooms was a real convenience. All appliances are higher end and near-new. Diamond Peak and Northstar at Tahoe are almost in the back yard. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are easy drives. The Jewel of the Sierra, Lake Tahoe is just down the street from this home! This house handled 15 of us comfortably. Kitchen is well-equipped for our large group. The fireplace was the biggest hit as all our socializing was centered here. The pool table and jacuzzi was of course a big huge hit with kids! We will certainly return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My family decided to take advantage of a winter storm, and come to Lake Tahoe spur of the moment for a few days of skiing. We found this property that fit our needs ( 14 of us including children). We ahd anever rented a home before, and was a little aprehensive on what to expect. The owner was available to address our concerns before and during our stay. She even called us at the home to see if we had any questions. The home is as described on the website, and was much better when we arrived than the pictures show. It is beautifully decorated, and had enough room for all of us. The stone fireplace was a hit...we played pool, watched TV, cooked, dined and basically we all able to do our thing in the GREAT ROOM. We even BBQ'd in the back deck which looks out into a wonderful meadow full of tall pine trees. The hot tub is on a separate deck which is in the "forest" which was nice to have it separate. It was fun to hear and watch the snow fall while sitting in the hot tub, and even though we were in the forest, the house has sunny decks when the sun was out. Northstar was the closest skiing, but Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley were easy and quick to get to. The lake is just down the street with lots of shops and restaurants, and the casinos which we confirmed cost us too much money to spend much time at. It was nice to be close to all this, but we really enjoyed going back to the home, knowing it was quiet and almost seamed secluded. We rarely saw a car drive by. I would highly recommend this home, and hopefully, we can try it out during the summer. They were lots of trails around the house that we saw cross country skiers use, which would be fun to explore without snow on the ground. It was a great time, great experience, and coulnd't have found a better home or location to stay in.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

It has been awhile but we wanted to share our thoughts with you on your home in Lake Tahoe. While the trip was not without problems you and the house we stayed in made things very enjoyable. As you can imagine traveling from all parts of the country and ending up with 7 children under the age of 6 can be a challenge. Thanks for arranging all of the cribs etc that we requested. The kids were looking forward to petting a bear but they did not show, maybe next time, as we will be booking with you again. Try to arrange for this if you can. The deposit was early, thanks. I am sure you get these all the time but this was a special trip for our family and friends. Thanks for making it into our family scrap book. Great pictures!! Best Regards, Paul, Sarah and familyRecommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Kings Beach:
Its breathtaking, and enjoy all the amenities Lake Tahoe offers.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love where this is on the Lake. You are right in the middle of the North Shore, with easy access to all of Lake Tahoe. The Lake is 3 miles, casinos, 3.5, Northstar 4, Reno 35 minutes, and South Shore is 40 and FUN to go to in the summertime. Skiing is everywhere. I ski at Alpine and Squaw and to drive there from the house, I go the back way and eliminate all the traffic in Tahoe City. I can get there in 20 min's., and is an easy drive.
The restaurants and shops on the lake speak for themselves. But...Northstar is my new hangout! The Village is beautiful!
There is a big ice-skating rink surrounded by bars, tiki torches and outdoor couches with fire pits. Around this are shops and restaurants and then the ski lifts. It reminds be of Vail. In the summertime the ice becomes roller skating with the same ambiance.
You can't beat the neighborhood here. Walking the trails is a twice daily event. There are maintained by the forest service and easy to follow. You can walk to Agate bay, or even Tahoe City if so inclined. Because the area is just up from the Lake, most of the trails have panoramic views of the Lake.
The house is super comfortable and I love walking out the back door and being in the meadow with tall pines. The smell of the forest permeates the house and its quiet, peaceful, and visually soothing.
