Pacific City townhome description
Enjoy beautiful Pacific City in a lovely family friendly beach bungalow situated within a short walk of the beach and the world famous Pelican Brew Pub.
The Sea Grass Haven town home was built in the summer of 2006 and is located in Shorepine Village, one of Oregon's premier oceanfront communities. Nestled in a neighborhood of winding paths and natural landscaping, this classic beach style home sits on the beach behind a grass covered dune which offers protection against the harsher elements of oceanfront living. Paved walkways and a dune ramp make beach access easy. The home is also situated two blocks from the Pelican brew pub, Doryland Pizza, Stimulus Coffee Shop and a small grocery store.
The Sea Grass Haven town home includes all the amenities you would want for a summer or winter beach trip. Snuggle up in the cozy living room in front of the river rock gas fireplace, enjoy a sunny afternoon BBQ on the covered deck, wash off sandy feet in the outdoor warm water faucet, enjoy a movie on the home entertainment system, or have a cup of coffee at the kitchen bar as you surf the free Wireless Internet.
The home is conveniently located to take full advantage of the many recreational opportunities in and around Pacific City. Vacationers enjoy walking the miles of beach solitude, surfing the popular Pacific City coastline, watching the world famous dory boats launch and climbing Oregon's tallest sand dune . The views of Cape Kiwanda and offshore Haystack Rock are nothing short of spectacular!

I will start by saying THNK YOU for being that vacation rental that allowed a two night stay over a holiday weekend. Not everyone can get away for the full 3 nights and we felt very blessed when the owner emailed back saying two nights was fine. You price is affordable for what you get, the house has everything we could have ever needed. Short walk to the beach was pleasant, I would recommend that if the weather is nice you do walk as you will not find parking in town. We made the climb up the dune for sunset of which I would very much recommend. When we return to Pacific City (and we will!) we will definitely check to see if the Seagrass is available. Book it! You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The house is spacious and well equipped with everything one could possibly need. We did most of the cooking at the house but we did visit Pelican Pub due to the owners recommendation- it was a great place, good food and fast service. Pacific City has a great small town feel and a ton of places to explore. We took full advantage of the bikes and went riding around town (lucky for us this area is fairly flat :-)). Oh and NOTHING beats the short walk from the house to the beach! We weren't sure what to expect but after a five minute walk there we were, on a sand dune, looking over the ocean. Windsurfers and kites lightly peppered the north end of the beach but the rest of the beach was practically empty despite the 80 degree weather! All in all we had a GREAT time. We will definitely plan to visit here again!

This place was the perfect setting for the perfect get-together. Beautiful morning strolls to the beach, late morning strolls to coffee, and evening strolls the the Pelican Inn (be sure to order a growler for the sunset walk back home). Everything we needed was there. We ended up spending a lot of wonderful time around the fireplace, watching movies and eating big family dinners. We're definitely coming back.

Year Purchased: 2006
About: Four friends (two couples) purchased this beautiful vacation town home together back in 2006 and planned to share it with their friends and family as well as rent it out when not using it.
Why Pacific City:
We chose Pacific City because it was off the beaten path, and had a great small town feel. One of the owners is a native Oregonian whose grandfather had property in the area and great-grandfather was a dairy farmer in Beaver, a nearby small town. There are old pictures of the family in the master bedroom, and also many historic pictures of Pacific City around the house.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
We love visiting the house on the weekends with family. Because the house has wi-fi, those family members who would normally have a hard time getting away early on a Friday, can work from the house. Our niece and nephew love staying at the house because it has kids books, toys, games and videos, and lots of other kid friendly amenities. And one of our favorite family outings is to haul wood out on the beach and build a bonfire at night, roast marshmellows and watch the sun go down behind Haystack Rock. The renters and our family seem to have made a tradition of leaving wood behind in the garage for the next visitors, and there always seems to be a supply available.
