Sit on the deck after a long day of skiing and soak up the sunset hues of the Red Cliffs. If skiing is not your thing make a sledding trail through the woods behind the house.
We are looking for families who love to ski and will appreciate a three bedroom house for less than the price of a small condo. This 1500 sq ft, 3 bedroom 1 ½ bath home, has privacy, a spacious great room on the upper floor, a great wood stove and all new amenities throughout the house. The house is off the main (busy) road in a small, quiet residential neighborhood. It is located 1/4 mile from chair 7, and the free ski shuttle picks up and drops off across the street.
The interior has new paint, new carpet, new furniture and all new appliances. There is also satellite TV, DVD player, WiFi and full stereo. It is a modest house that we have put our heart and soul into. This is a great opportunity for families to ski more often.

We live in Monterey, but have never been able to live without our mountain experience. Our girls started skiing the "Wall" at Kirkwood at an early age and our dogs love romping through the National Forest land behind our house. We want to be able to offer a great ski experience without the huge bills.

The Unique Benefits of this House
Even though our house is considered modest, I feel confidant that your experience will be epic. We have a caretaker that lives on the bottom floor of the house. He takes care of all the snow removal which for some rentals is a huge chore. We have had as many as 8 people stay at our house and it is quite comfortable; however, six is ideal and we do not recommend more than eight. If you have dogs, this is a perfect fit. There is lots of land around the house and a great porch where the dogs can get some fresh air while you are skiing.

This is a great house at a great price! The owners' price and policy is the most fair in Kirkwood if not all of Tahoe. Our family had stayed in a few other places before finding this one, we payed twice as much for a little more space, and then had to spend half a day cleaning in order to get a deposit back... Not the way to spend a vacation! For a simple, clean, family house at a reasonable price that won't take time away from your family and skiing, this is the place!!

This place was wonderful! We so enjoyed both the house and experiencing the surrounding area. We usually go Colorado but will certainly return here. We will use this house again.
