Our home is in the heart of the prestigious subdivision of Doctor's Arm. Our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront home is on 2 lots and is beautifully landscaped. We have quick and easy access to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean through the Bogie Channel. Forty-foot wide canal with deep water accommodates large boats.
Big Pine Key, Mile Marker 30, is a unique island because of its large size and available fresh water. It is home to the famous Key Deer who are protected and can be seen roaming freely all over the island and even nightly in our yard. Deep-sea, reef or flats fishing are some of your many choices. Divers and snorkelers will love Looe Key and swimming at Bahia Honda State Park (voted America's Best Beach, 1992) nearby at Mile Marker 36. Exciting Key West is only 30 minutes away. There is also a famous exclusive island called Little Palm Island that can be reached only by boat shuttle, where Sunday brunch is served.
You will not have trouble finding the No Name Pub from this house. This famous restaurant, a favorite of the locals, is in walking distance. On your walk, you can also stroll across the No Name Bridge where you will most likely see a stingray, shark or other sea creature (not to mention the beautiful open water view). For finer dining in a casual "keys" atmosphere, the Square Grouper located on Cudjoe Key is a must!! The food is delicious, and it is only a 10 minute drive south. Barracuda Grill is also another great restaurant and is located in Marathon and is about a 20 minute ride north.
Old Wooden Bridge Fishing Camp is located less than a mile away with a boat ramp, full bait and tackle shop, complete boat rental and fuel.
While you are staying at our home, you must visit the Blue Hole. There, you can observe wildlife such as birds, fish, turtles, deer and alligators.
Our home is just 5 minutes away from the Winn Dixie Shopping Center. We have a pharmacy nearby, banks, a post office, restaurants, assorted shopping, dive shop, tackle shops and much more in our area.
Shopping in Marathon is only a 15-minute drive north. Shopping, beaches, restaurants, and night-life in Key West is only a 30 minute drive south. This house has the best of both worlds--enjoy the rush and excitement of Key West with its 5-star dining, dancing and live music. Historic Old Town Key West offers up nightly sunset celebrations, art, shopping and casual to fine dining all within walking distance of Duval Street. And then you can return to the peace and tranquility of Big Pine!!
The moment you walk into our home, you will feel like you are at a tropical paradise. Our home is completely renovated with bright tropical decor throughout. Our home has a brand new air conditioner, new water heater, new kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all new furniture throughout. The whole house was just refurbished in May of 2007.
Our beautifully appointed home has wood cathedral ceilings throughout. Our home features a wrap-around porch. There are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer. We have a porch just outside the front door with loungers on it so that you may catch some rays during the day or at night catch the great sky show with all of the stars. We also have a gas grill up on the porch as well so that you may cook your catch of the day!!
The living room features all new furniture. The couch turns into a queen sleeper, which can sleep up to 2 people. We have a brand new 40-inch flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player, so that you can watch all of your favorite shows.
The dining room has a bar height table that seats 4 people and has an extension in the table to fit up to 6 people.
The kitchen is brand new. It features all new cabinets throughout, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, and oven. We also have a bar with 2 stools to enjoy your cocktails.
The master bedroom boasts feelings of relaxation with yellow and white tones. The room features a king size pillow-top bed. This room also has a 32-inch flat screen TV and a connecting bathroom inside the room.
The second bedroom will take you to the sea with the wonderful comforts of blue and white shells throughout. This room sleeps 3. It has 2 brand new pillow-top mattress beds and one of the beds has a trundle under it. This room also features a flat screen TV with a DVD combo.
The living room and dining room have sliding glass doors that lead to the new screened porch where you can relax and enjoy your morning coffee or cocktails in the afternoon.
Our home is situated on 2 lots, with plenty of room to store your boat trailer or RV. We have a brand new 50-foot dock with a fish cleaning station, and loungers to relax on while cleaning your day's catch. When you return from a fun day of fishing or snorkeling, you can take a refreshing shower in our outdoor shower. We have covered parking under the house.
This is a great house to come with your family and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures. There is something for everyone to do here. We hope that you come and stay with us for a month or two. We are sure that you will return once you have stayed at the Starfisch Hideaway!!!
