The cottage was exactly as described and perfect for a quiet getaway for a couple. Jennifer and Craig could not have been more helpful and welcoming and made the cottage truly a home away from home.We used many of their suggestions for places to eat or explore and look forward to our next visit.St John remains a very special island to visit and we enjoyed meeting such friendly people and the wonderful beaches and scenery. Truly a memorable holiday - now what to do when the rest of our large family wants to join us!

Absolutely Perfect!

We have visited many Caribbean islands (St. John twice before) and have experienced all types of accomodations. The cottage was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The location is so convenient to everything and Jennifer and Craig treated us better than family! The basket of goodies, beverages in the fridge, fresh coffee beans and grinder, chairs and loungers on the deck, bright colored bedding, plush towels, and large bottles of quality shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were all so welcoming. It truly felt like home. I have already recommended the cottage to others. If you've never been to St. John this is a great spot. If you have been to St. John you will see that this is a great value. Thank you Jennifer and Craig for sharing the cottage with us. As for food, we went to Banana Deck twice we enjoyed it so much. The new Mexican restaurant Cactus Blue was excellent.

Getaway

My thanks to Jennifer and Craig for an amazing break from the New England winter. The house had everything we needed and delightful surprises including a shower with large open-air screens to the outside, water views from the bedroom, a tropical wooded setting and proximity to town and beaches. This was our first visit to St. John. When we booked this house we were also considering some of the local hotels (ranging from 150-350/night) and we were wondering about the Cinnamon Bay and Maho Bay Campgrounds. Having had the chance to visit some of our alternate choices, I am certain we could not have picked a better spot. Having a rental car and exploring on our own turned out to be one of our trip highlights. The roads are winding and reminded me of a tropical version of parts of Europe. Other highlights included taking a day sail on White Wing, getting fresh coconuts in Cruz Bay, the beach at Trunk Bay, the winding drive to Coral Bay, the short hike to Honeymoon Beach and the food at Fatty Crab. Jennifer and Craig were consistently helpful to us and the Cute Cozy Cottage in Chocolate Hole was a definite find. When Craig met us at the ferry, it was late at night and he had picked up our rental car keys for us. On one of our days we had a mechanical mishap with our rental car and Jennifer started making calls on our behalf. She and Craig know the island inside and out. While we were there Craig was helping out with setup of the children's show at the Westin -- a dance performance of the island's 4th graders choreographed by Broadway professionals. I will recommend this property and the island of St. John to friends and family who like to travel, explore and spend time in beautiful places.

Thanks Jennifer for the Great Time and Your Cottage is Wonderful! Ernie, my husband and I stayed at Jennifer's cottage in 2008 and Christmas 2011. We were the first to stay in 2008 and decide to go again for a longer time in December 2011. If you are looking for the best you found it! St. John's is laid back and restful. The cottage is fun and beautifyl and the Island is one of a kind. Jennifer, we shall return and I wish it was Today! Ernie and Earline Downey

We loved our stay at the cute cozy cottage! The grill, "outdoor" shower, proximity to town/beaches were highlights of our stay. Staying here instead of a hotel made us feel like we were living the island life for our week away. Jennifer and Craig were great hosts, communicated well pre-trip, and we really appreciated the many little things they thought of to make their place so nice.

Owner response:Thank you for the wonderful review. Our goal is to make you feel at home.I am happy we succeeded and a pleasure sharing our island with you. I hope you don't wait too long to come back! Craig and Jennifer

We stayed in Jennifer and Craig's Cozy Cottage last week (5/1-5/7) and had a terrific time. As promised, it was a quiet retreat, complete with a beautiful view from the back deck. The accommodations are perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. Our hosts checked in with us a few times by phone to see if we needed anything, but gave us total privacy. The cottage was well-appointed, with everything you could possibly need. Don't miss Woody's conch fritters, which were the best we had. Both Asolare and Waterfront Bistro have delcious food and spectacular views. The beaches to the north (Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay) were beautiful for their powder-fine sand and stunning views, but Salt Pond near Coral Bay had great snorkeling with calm, clear waters. Be sure to grab sandwiches from Sam & Jack's before you head out for the afternoon! I cannot say enough about our relaxing stay on St. John. If you are looking for a quiet, lovely place to stay, the Cozy Cottage is perfect!

We had a lovely stay at the Cozy Cottage for Presidents Week break. Jennifer is a lovely hostess! The cottage is private, yet Jennifer is right next door on the other side of the fence if you need anything. We thought this place was perfect for a couple or perhaps a couple with a small child. I would definitely recommend renting a car to explore the island. Jennifer had toiletries, books, and a little welcome basket in the fridge waiting for us. St John is beautiful, and this is a lovely place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at the cottage in August. The location was perfect. Everything is within 5-10 minutes from the cottage. (Cruz Bay, National Parks, grocery store, restaurants etc). I would suggest renting a car but you could make do with taxis. The cottage has everything you need if you want to cook meals, stay home for the evening watch movies, etc. The view is wonderful. The owners are extremely helpful. They have a book of suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. We will be back!

We just returned from a lovely week at the Cute Cozy Cottage. Jennifer and Craig are wonderful hosts, and the place is a great home away from home. They have every amenity you could need - pots, pans, beach towels, beach chairs, dvds. We used the grill almost every night. We never needed the A/C, and fell asleep each night to the sounds of the jungle and the sea breeze. The cottage is close enough to town that you don't feel isolated, but far enough away from it that you get to be in your own little tropical world. A real gem.

We were there in April 2009 for five wonderful nights. Staying in a private cottage in Chocolate Hole lends itself to what it feels like to live there vs. a hotel in Cruz Bay or a big resort, and yet it's very convenient to drive to town and the north shore beaches. The mornings sunlight softly filtered through the bamboo blinds of the bedroom, and the tradewinds rustled the palm fonds of the tree outside our private balcony. The cable TV system even received the Capitals playoff hockey games, to our delight. The shower is really cool because you feel like you're outside, but you're not, with views of the blue Caribbean Sea while you (quickly) rinse the beach off your body. Jennifer and Craig are fabulous hosts, and I can't forget Spanky! We loved it and we'll be back.

Clean, comfortable, definately cute & cozy - affordable. I just returned from beautiful St. John (Feb 12-20, 2009)and had the pleasure to stay at this darling cottage. The owners not only provided us with a wonderful place to stay, but were friendly, warm, patient hosts. Helped us with getting around the island, a car rental issue we had, places to eat, things to do & see. We so appreciated everything...we will be back. Thanks again!

Just returned from a wonderful week on St. John. My husband and I stayed at the cute cozy cottage for the duration and found it suited our needs perfectly. All the ammenties provided by Craig and Jennifer were a wonderful and unexpected touch. We had a nice view of the ocean from our bedroom balcony and the kitchen was perfect for cooking a meal or two in (but don't miss the many fantastic restaurants on the island). We will return to this wonderful island in the future.

My husband and I stayed in the Cute Cozy Cottage for a week and loved every minute. The cottage has all the comforts you need and lovely extra touches have been added thoughout. The pictures cant show you how nice the place is. Plenty of room to stay in and cook and eat under the stars. Perflectly clean. Resting or sunning on the deck is an added plus.Jennifer and Craig are wonderful and very helpful. I would recommend it as the perfect place to stay on the island.

My family and I had the privilege of staying at the Cute Cozy Cottage before it's completion. The name says it all, we felt very comfortable and "at home" at this location. Perfect for a romantic getaway, whether you stay in or explore beautiful St. John. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to Jennifer and Craig for making it an experience we'll not soon forget.
