Lake Wedowee is known for its great fishing and quiet relaxation and that is why we call our house "REELaxation". Our Lake house is directly on the water in a large, wide private cove on a lot that is so flat that the young and old at heart can easily walk to the water's edge. You can see the lake as you open the front door and from almost every room in the house. Bring your own boat, rent a pontoon boat at the Marina or use the free canoe available at the house to enjoy the water. Check out the water level at the lakewedowee website.
The house has a very open floor plan for entertaining as you cook, eat or relax by the TV. Sit in rocking chairs on the back porch and watch your kids play in the yard, fish off the dock or swim in the lake. Lake Wedowee is known for its clean waters and great fishing. Enjoy the fireplace in the winter or lake in the summer for a wonderful relaxing weekend or week-long vacation all through the year. This house has wood floors and wood walls for a true cabin feel. The main level has a bedroom with a queen adirondack pole bed and upstairs has a king bedroom with an adjoining loft area for the kids that includes two twin beds and a futon.
The house is situated at the end of a quiet dead end road approximately 6-7 minutes from the downtown shops, grocery store, restaurants or the hospital. Short day trips include hiking at Cheaha State Park, watching the races at Talledega or visiting Anniston History Museum. It is also only 90 minutes to Atlanta. The geese are also known to relax in this cove for your viewing pleasure. We have included books, puzzles and games to complete your enjoyment.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Wedowee
The house is perfect. It has an open floorplan and it is close to the water. The fishing is great! The lot is flat which is great since so many lots in Wedowee have tons of stairs. It is also on a dead end quiet private road.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I love shopping at the Brand New Look furniture shop on the square and eating at the sandwich shop on the square. The shop has antique furniture and new furniture as well as decorative items. It is GREAT! It is a great day adventure for the women as the men fish.

My family just returned from a perfect vacation at Lake Wedowee! This house is extremely comfortable and is a great location on the lake! Nice quiet cove, perfect for tubing, skiing, etc! We enjoyed the easy access to the lake. So many houses at Wedowee have such steep slopes -- not good for small children. This lot is great -- our family enjoyed this vacation more than Panama City! We will definitely return! Plus the owners are so hospitable -- making sure your vacation is top notch! Thanks so much for sharing your house with us.

The lake house is beautiful....very roomy, and clean. We enjoyed the big back porch, the water, the canoe, and the fishing. We especially liked the open floor-plan downstairs and the big dining room table where our whole family could eat together and play games. We highly recommend this lake house and will certainly rent it again.

This rental is everything you can want in a lake property. My husband and I visited September 20-23 and it was great. Water level in the lake was low but that did not hinder us from keeping a line in the water every day. The property is well kept, comfortable and clean. Having a gas grill made cooking a breeze in the evenings. Ceiling fans on the porch were great as this week was very warm. The owners were wonderful in accomodating our requests and working with us on arrival and departing times. Eventhough there were just the two of us, I would highly recommend this for a family vacation. The home and property would be wonderful for children. I definitely would like to come back in the spring.

This was the nicest lakehouse we have stayed at! Everything was great. Fishing is good off the dock for catfish, we caught them every day even though it was HOT!!!! The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything and the house was clean!

WOW! It was everything we expected and much more. You have a beautiful place. God has blessed you greatly. We will be back in touch. Our son in law caught two fish even though the water was low. My husband and I are here with our daughter and our 3 grandchildren. I have never stayed anywhere there were so many added special touches. The highlight of our week was the sighting of a pair of bald eagles flying over the lake. They sure stirred things up. The kids have had a ball. It is a very kid friendly house. We have all enjoyed the puzzles. Thanks for making us feel so at home.

This was a wonderful retreat for us. We went to Cheaha yesterday and enjoyed the beautiful leaves plus other sites along the way. Sure hope we can revisit your home again next year.
