Beautiful Home with Everything

This is a home away from home. It was the cleanest house I've ever stayed at. Everything you need is in this home. Top quality pots, pans, and beautiful dishes. Nice sheets and confortable beds. Loved how the owners thought of everyone when they decorated. Books, games, movies, it's all here. We arrived and before we even got out of the truck, read the chalk sign welcoming us as sisters. We got the biggest kick out of that before we ever went inside this wonderful home. It really meant alot to us silly girls because this was the first time to spend together in years. Thanks Don and Stephanie for being so thoughtful. I can't say enough about this home and the owners except it was all great and I look forward to returning.

We stayed at this property for the weekend and had a wonderful time! It is even more beautiful than the pictures. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch and observing wildlife. It's such an easy walk down to the dock. With the water level lower in winter we were able to walk around the shore and do some exploring! Being at the end of a dead end you really feel a sense of privacy. The hosts provide everything you'll need plus a lot of extras! This is a great retreat! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

My family just returned from a perfect vacation at Lake Wedowee! This house is extremely comfortable and is a great location on the lake! Nice quiet cove, perfect for tubing, skiing, etc! We enjoyed the easy access to the lake. So many houses at Wedowee have such steep slopes -- not good for small children. This lot is great -- our family enjoyed this vacation more than Panama City! We will definitely return! Plus the owners are so hospitable -- making sure your vacation is top notch! Thanks so much for sharing your house with us.

The lake house is beautiful....very roomy, and clean. We enjoyed the big back porch, the water, the canoe, and the fishing. We especially liked the open floor-plan downstairs and the big dining room table where our whole family could eat together and play games. We highly recommend this lake house and will certainly rent it again.

This rental is everything you can want in a lake property. My husband and I visited September 20-23 and it was great. Water level in the lake was low but that did not hinder us from keeping a line in the water every day. The property is well kept, comfortable and clean. Having a gas grill made cooking a breeze in the evenings. Ceiling fans on the porch were great as this week was very warm. The owners were wonderful in accomodating our requests and working with us on arrival and departing times. Eventhough there were just the two of us, I would highly recommend this for a family vacation. The home and property would be wonderful for children. I definitely would like to come back in the spring.

Perfect Lakehouse

This was the nicest lakehouse we have stayed at! Everything was great. Fishing is good off the dock for catfish, we caught them every day even though it was HOT!!!! The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything and the house was clean!

My husband and I are here with our daughter and our 3 grandchildren. I have never stayed anywhere there were so many added special touches. The highlight of our week was the sighting of a pair of bald eagles flying over the lake. They sure stirred things up. The kids have had a ball. It is a very kid friendly house. We have all enjoyed the puzzles. Thanks for making us feel so at home.

This is the perfect lake house. We loved the open great room and the huge porch. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed our Saturday in the rain. Everything is comfortable here-including the beds. My son had a great time on Sunday in his kayak. We look forward to next time.

WOW. What an awesome place. Very well maintained, very little slope to the water (unlike most places on Wedowee), quiet cove with little boat traffic, friendly non-intrusive neighbors, comfortable beds and furniture, well-stocked kitchen, good gas grill, nice dock and backyard fire area- it was PERFECT!!! Thanks so much to the Yates for being so accomodating and friendly. We are already looking forward to booking the lake house next spring!

We also had a great time at your fully furnished lake house. Thanks for dropping off supplies. You have thought of everything for your renters...loved the beds, reclining chair, table to feed 8, fully stocked kitchen, plunger and TV directions. Our son, his wife and grandkids had much water fun on your dock. We took the canoe out to watch the sunset...as good as Hawaii.

I normally do not give reviews or comment on services provided. This case is different because we want to give back to others looking for the perfect vacation. If you want relaxation, the Yates home is for you. Whether it is fishing off the dock or watching the sun rise off the back porch, it is perfect. They sit back far enough in a cove, that noisy boats do not disturb any of your activities. The neighbors are the finest of people, the beds are more comfortable than your home. They will take your phone call for anything that will make your stay perfect. You can pay more than double the money to take an extravagant vacation, or you can truly relax with nature and family. Thank you so much for providing us with such a nice place to spend a week. It was everything we expectd and more. Very quiet and peaceful for two old ladies......Founds lots of "goodies" at an antique store in Wedowee and also Lineville. Plan on coming back next year around Oct 1 for an arts and crafts show and festival in Lineville. Found some "treasures" in Oxford also. Thanks again for such a nice week.
