Perfect for all!

We had such a wonderful time this weekend. It was very peaceful and private but close to everything you could ever imagine doing. We went to the fish hatchery, went on a hike, played in thr river, shopped town, and enjoyed the house and the very big yard. The house was perfect for our family (with 2 small children) and dogs. We look forward to coming again soon!

Memorable Week

Well what can I say...we arrived in the pouring rain on a winter day to a very welcoming home. It was larger than I expected and though we were all chilled, it warmed up nicely and the fireplace was wonderful. We enjoyed all the space with our group of 12. We had ages 13 - 49, with some newlyweds in the mix. Everyone had their own space but lots of room to gather all together in one place. The kitchen was a little small but well stocked. I took extra towels just in case but there was more than enough, as well as blankets, sheets and pillows. The sunroom is great to leave the wet gear and let it dry. It was also a nice sun spot to take in the sun when it did come out the next day. Owner/manger very nice to work with (not looking over your shoulder). The year before we had two hotel rooms...everyone agreed this was 1000x times better. We had a very nice stay. Hope to repeat the visit next year.

My parents and In Laws are visiting us from India , I wanted their vacation to the best. I am very happy to say that Cathy's house was great and made their stay very pleasant and wonderful one. They were thoroughly impressed with the amenities in the house. We were a total of 8 adults and 5 kids and the house was big enough to hold all of us confortably. The house is very conveniently located with many activities around. Customer service was great and the house was very clean with a lot of towels and linens. We would definitely stay at this house next time we are in the area. We did the following activities 1. Horse back riding : Take left on Icicle Rd, and you will find Horse back riding within 1.5 miles ( Near Sleeping Lady Resort) 2. Salmon Hatchery : Take left on Icicle Rd, and you will find it at about 1 mile. 3. Downtown leavenworth has public swimming pool. Great for kids 4. Live music in Downtown. 5. Cherry\Blueberry picking 6. Barbecue at the house. Great place to sit and enjoy with the family.

Cozy home/Beautiful setting

Our group of 8, and 2 dogs had a wonderful stay at your home. The setting could not be better. Close enough to town, but not too close! Very private and lots of room for the dogs to run. The house is not fancy but is very cozy and has lots of room to spread out. Lots of games, books and everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a few big meals. We definitely hope to come back next year. The only not perfect, but not a big deal thing, is when we got there the basement apt was locked. We called the on-site property manager and she was able to return home within the hour to let us in. Would definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.

Awesome house!

We stayed here for a weekend with 6 friends and had a great time! Even though it's an older home, it's absolutely adorable, has hardwood floors throughout and is very, very clean. It's fully stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen amenities so you don't have to worry about bringing any of that with you. Only about a 5 minute drive to town and a perfect rental if you have dogs. :) We will be back when we visit Leavenworth in the future. Thanks Cathy!

This is a lovely older home with spacious living areas and bathroom. The owner has stocked it well with kitchen implements, books, and games. Great for dogs (unfenced but huge area in back for them to run around) and good for small children as well. A short drive to Leavenworth or recreation options. Gorgeous setting!

Comfortable home close to town and recreation

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable older home. We rented the Main House, which is 2 bedrooms each with one queen bed. (Additional space is available if you also rent the basement). The bathroom and living spaces were very spacious--great for our toddler and dogs to romp. The house is situated on 5 parklike acres, so we could run the dogs right outside. Although the mountain views are limited from the house itself, the setting is spectacular. It's a very short drive into Leavenworth town center and there are some trails in the Icicle Ridge area very close to the home. The kitchen was well stocked with implements and a large variety of books and games was available for our use. I'd heartily recommend the Main House for a small family's vacation.

Great place for a group!

My family (10 of us) rented this for a weekend getaway. The house is bigger than it appears in the photos ... the living room is spacious, and the dining room table was big enough to seat all of us comfortably. The basement apartment was great for a few of us to sleep downstairs and have our own bathroom, plus an extra kitchen which we mainly used for the refrigerator. The yard is huge and great for snow play! We enjoyed being so close to town, but still on a quiet, dead-end street. Overall, we had a fabulous stay here and would definitely return!

We had a great time in this house. It accomadated 10 of use very well. The beds were comfortable. There were some housekeeping concerns with this house. I would probably stay here again if there was nothing else available to fit my needs. We did have a lot of fun, having a house that can fit 10 of us meant alot to us.

Very positive recommendation

My husband and I spent a week mid-September 2008 in this house. We had a wonderful time. The location is great. It is close enough to Leavenworth that you can go downtown easily (driving is about five minutes; you can walk the two miles easily), but when you're at the house you don't feel the touristy aspects of the town. Hikes and bike rides can be started right from the door or a few miles up the road. The property was very clean and well-maintained. It was comfortable and had everything a vacation renter needs, including the details like clothes detergent, extra garbage bags, coffee filter papers, etc., etc. A very nice, helpful property manager lives in a building on the same premises. The owner is great. She responded promptly and flexibly to all of my messages and requests. I would highly recommend this property to a friend who wants a house in the country as a base for the abundant outdoor opportunities available in the area. However, the emphasis on physical activities is mine -- other people may wish to stay here just to relax and enjoy the fabulous scenery. I don't know that exploring the town of Leavenworth would take anyone more than a day. But the fact that it's a tourist attraction means the amenities (e.g., grocery stores) are good for a town this size.

Leavenworth country home.

August 14, 2008 Thank you!! We loved the location it was close to family and the river. The neighbor doggies were so great, and they all loved our Charlie. We will definitely book again. We really loved that you had all the amenities and basics for cooking as well. This was one of the best rentals we have experienced, quiet, cool and very homey...much better than a hotel room. The nieces and nephews loved running around on the land, and we were able to even put up the badminton net and everyone had a ball. Sincerely, Chris & Laura

Home Away from Home!

Date of Stay: 05/16/08 Review Submitted: 09/07/08

Thank you for welcoming our troop of Girl Scouts! The girls worked hard this year to sell enough cookies to plan and enjoy this weekend of biking, touring and shopping! Everyone felt like it was our "home away from home!" Everything we wanted/needed was right there! The home was spotless with plenty of room and very comfy beds! It was much more convenient and less expensive than a hotel! We also felt much safer! The girls will always remember our weekend of biking and their hero, Logan, a Leavenworth firefighter! When one girl's lock malfunctioned and couldn't be unlocked, Logan came to the rescue with just the right tools! (He even posed for pictures!) We had a wonderful evening eating pizza, playing games inside and out, and we even watched a movie! Thank you for your contribution to the great memories these girls will cherish of scouting! We all hope to return soon! Troop #2169, Bridging Juniors, Silverdale, WA
