Clean, private, & bright studio apartment in a very beautiful neighborhood in New York - the West Village. Located on a high floor with Western light, this apartment in an elevator building is comfortably furnished with a full sized bed, clean linens & towels, cable television, high speed wireless internet, separate kitchen with appliances, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, dishes, & utensils. The building is a modern one with intercom security in a very safe and exclusive neighborhood. There are no steps at all. Camera/video security is located in the lobby.
I look for something just like this when I travel - near the attractions but quiet as well.
Price includes utilities, high-speed wireless internet access, & cable television. Tax & cleaning is included in the price.
Don't stay in impersonal midtown or the upper east side! The apartment is located on a very tranquil block but is very close (1-2 blocks) to nightlife and restaurants. This is one of the most charming areas in New York, with tree-lined, cobblestone streets and close to all of downtown's offerings. The meatpacking district (known for its restaurants and nightlife), Chelsea (the art gallery district), the West Village (beautiful and charming cafe, restaurant, and culture-filled district), and many more downtown areas are all within walking distance. The apartment is one block from the Hudson river and Hudson River Park, and a few blocks to the new High Line Park. Buses and subways are located within a 5-10 minute walk. You can also catch a cab outside your door.

My husband and I came to NYC for 6 days. This was our first time ever staying in the big apple. This apartment made our trip unforgettable. The location is the key! Everything is there, you walk out of the apartment and already can feel the NYC's atmosphere. The most amazing places like Washington Square Park, High Line Park, Greenwich Village, or Union Square are just a walk distance from the place. Otherwise, there is a subway just 2 blocks away that can take you anywhere. The apartment is as described, very clean, bright, quiet, and comfortable! Some nights we just stayed in for a dinner that I cooked in the kitchen, which is very well supplied. The owner, Mrs.S., is so lovely, she was very pleasant and easy to keep in touch with (via emails). Next time we will go back to New York City, this would be my choice #1 to stay! Thank you!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I have to admit, I've never been to NYC and I've never rented an apartment like this before. My biggest concern working for a bank was fraud. However, after countless interactions with different companies and lack of information that they could provide me I came accross this gem. Stef gave me her cell phone number I was able to call and verify her and she sent lots of infomation about the apartment. I think I e-mailed her quite a bit with questions and she was always flexible and prompt in response. When I met her in person she was very hospitable and genuine. Now for the good stuff, this is located off the busy streets in a nice little area. It's in walking distance of the 14th st station and there are a lot of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. There were pleanty of towels and dishes and things for us to get through the week. We stayed for 5 days. The bed was very comfortable after a long day of walking in NYC. The building was very secure and the neighborhood as well. It was the perfect location to be kind of in between all of the major attractions. This was helpful for us doing all of the tourist attractions. The pictures and info related to this post are accuarate. I would recommend this for couples, a single person, business person, or anyone who wants to be out of all of the hustle and bustle of NYC. The only thing that was ever a challenge was that the chairs for the dinning table weren't very heavy duty and I'm a little heavier of a guy so I just avoided sitting in them. Definitely woth it. If it's still available in a few years when we come back, we are planning on staying again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the apartment. It was as advertised and the owner was very easy to deal with. The apartment is pretty basic, but we were hardly ever there. Very quiet building and street. We found the location to be perfect. Just a few minutes from the subway so you have access to anything, but a world away from the crowds of tourists in midtown. Plus, we really enjoyed walking the streets of the West Village (and Greenwich village as a whole really); felt like we were seeing the true side of New York.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I just stayed in this apartment for 5 nights through Thanksgiving week. The owner was excellent to work with, the apartment was just as pictured and proved to be very comfortable for our extended visit. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of this neighborhood. The owner has given excellent information regarding how to "get to" other areas of the city with ease. We recommend this apartment and building which is well maintained.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

I recently stayed here for a week and found the apartment to be clean, cosy, quiet and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and the location was really good. The elevated High Line park and the Hudson River are 'must see' places nearby and there are lots of trendy bars and restaurants in the area. It is relatively close to transit and all services you would need are close by. I would definitely stay here again. It is a great and peaceful "home base" to return to after a busy day of sightseeing, shopping or nightclubbing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This was a clean, comfortable apartment in a terrific location. We stayed four nights and enjoyed easy access to subway, High Line Park, Meatpacking District, the Village, and all the conveniences of the immediate neighborhood. Cost was quite reasonable for the holiday season, and everything was exactly as promised, an excellent base for a NYC visit. Stefanie was available and helpful but unobtrusive. (This type of arrangement makes so much more sense than staying in a hotel, but I guess VRBO users know that!) We had a wonderful time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Just stayed 6 nights at this lovely flat which is located in excellent residential neighborhood with fabulous shopping, variety of good restaurants and fun nightlife all within blocks. Two parks--the elevated High Line park and the Hudson River Park are also within 2 blocks. Owner attentive and accomodating. Hope to stay there next time I am in town.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My wife and I just returned from staying here a few days in April and had a great time. The owner was very easy to work with and the apartment is in a great location. You'll be about 2 blocks from the Meat Packing District, which has some great restaurants including Spice Market and Pastis. It's also a very popular spot for nightlife. You'll also be very close to Greenwich Village, probably Manhattan's most charming neighborhood, with tree lined cobblestone streets and great little shops. We found that after spending a long day exploring Midtown and the Financial District, it was nice to come back to the serenity of the Village. I wouldn't hesitate calling the owner again when we return to NYC.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
