Stellar, Fantastic, Amazing Cabin!
WOW! What a Stellar, Fantastic, Amazing cabin. It has truly been a wonderful experience as well as a much needed getaway. Not only did we enjoy it, but the dogs did too! Hours spent sniffing the trails, staying glued to the windows and lounging in the sunshine. Thanks for having such a great place tucked oh so cozy upon a mountain top! Eric & Anna, w/furries. Recommendations: 1) The Plant (restaurant) 2) Tupelo Honey 3) The LAB "Lexington Avenue Brewery" 4) Laughing Seed 5) Rosetta's 6) Early Girl Eatery. Owners note: Most of these restaurants are vegetarian with the exception of Tupelo Honey, The Lab and Early Girl Eatery. All are great!

Couldn't Be Happier!
Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for opening your cabin to us for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved the cabin: the view, the furnishings, the hot tub, the DirecTV, the proximity to Asheville...the list goes on. It's clear you go to great lengths to make sure your guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay. We couldn't be happier with our choice of honeymoon location. If you'd have us, would love to come back again! Thank You! John & Catherine, Raleigh, NC

Favorite Little Cabin In The Mountains!
Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for letting us drop in for a quick visit at our favorite little cabin in the Mountains! We always enjoy ourselves very much here. We stayed in the entire time this visit and fully enjoyed our surroundings. We only made one quick trip out to the fabulous Sunny Point Cafe and took a drive up to the Parkway. There was even enough snow left to build a snowman! We can't wait to get back here already. Thanks!(again...) "The Shugs" Jason & Jennie

Best Way To Spend Thanksgiving!
I can't think of a better way to spend our Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful. We hiked all the way to the top of the mountain out back and our doggies loved it. The wood burning stove was perfect. Everything was very cozy and comfortable. Thanks for thinking of the little details-kitchen items like spices and a cheese grater were great to have on hand. Finally-Ohio State-42, Michigan-41. Go Bucks !!!!! Kev, Kara, Jala and Tanner & Yoshi. Owners note: I try to stay completely objective when it comes to college football. LOL

A Fantastic Time!
Had a Fantastic time. The cabin was perfect. You anticipated all our needs and wants. It was magnificent sitting in the hot tub through rain and snow and cold weather. The views are tremendous. We took many pictures of the changing temperatures and associated weather. We enjoyed the "Candlelight Christmas" tour at the Biltmore. The Winery was fun. Our favorite is the Biltmore Sangiovese. Thank you for sharing this magical place with us. We will remember it fondly. Love, Danielle & John

Dear Nancy, Treetop Mountain Vista was the perfect place for us to relax on our honeymoon. It's a fabulous location-close to trails and downtown Asheville. We especially enjoyed the Arboretum and cruising along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The fall colors were amazing especially from the deck here. Thank you for opening up your beautiful cabin to all. Worth the Wait!Guest comment entered by owner
Worth the Wait!
Dear Nancy, As you know this was our first time away from our kids (10 years!) It was worth the wait! The cabin is immaculate, comfortable, plenty spacious and well appointed. Appreciated the large soft towels and the medium towels too. So glad to have laundry soap, dish soap, foil, condiments and sugar already here. Bed is very comfy and linens soft too. The view is absolutely amazing! It took our breath away every time we looked out at it. We enjoyed eating out in Asheville-favorites were: Early Girl Eatery, Posana, Curate, Limones, Homegrown and Ultimate Ice Cream. We really loved every minute of our vacation here and thank you for sharing this wonderful space. Hope to be back soon. Thank you again! Erin & Rick (Columbus, OH)

WOW!Guest comment entered by owner
Dear Nancy, Wow! We had a hard time deciding if we wanted to spend our vacation hiking and bumming around Asheville, or just staying here curled up with our pup Lucy, jazz playing on the Direct TV, and reading some of the great books on your bookshelf. In the end, we went for a mix. For the benefit of future guests, here is a brief rundown of our trip. Thanks for a fantastic weekend! Kate & Karen :Had breakfast/brunch at Early Girl Eatery. It was awesome, one of the best we had. Plan for a 45 min. to an hour wait, then hang out downtown browsing shops. Visited the Salt Cave for a detox, meditation. The health properties may or may not be a bunch of bunk, but it was unique and relaxing. Hiked the Black Balsam Trails off the Parkway. Really beautiful but take a map!

Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, right in the middle of lush forests and an abundance of natural lakes. You might say I was a 'country girl' and proud of it. In 1972 I moved to Florida to experience a different kind of life. Lots of sun, warm weather and gorgeous beaches. But still I had a dream, and that was to live in the mountains and be able to walk out on my deck and enjoy an amazing view. In 1996 I moved to Western North Carolina and have never looked back, because life in these mountains is everything I ever hoped it would be and more. Three years later I moved into my cabin and realized that my dream of having an amazing mountain view,(without even having to get out of bed)had come true. That first morning took my breath away as I opened my eyes and the first rays of sunlight hit Mt. Pisgah. Three years ago I moved into a different location here in the area and opened up my dream to others. It has turned out to be one of the greatest joys of my life, to share this remarkable home. The cabin is located right outside of Asheville, NC and I still live nearby. I take a personal interest in seeing to it that everything is perfect for each new guest to arrive. Thanks, Nancy
Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
I have lived in the Asheville area now for 17 years. I find it to be one of the most wonderful and unique places imaginable. I wouldn't live anywhere else for anything. Something for everyone I always say! For nature lovers we have the Pisgah National Forest and the Smoky Mountains with unlimited hiking and bicycling trails, lots of waterfalls and one of the most diverse ecological areas in the world with over 100,000 species of plants and animals. Not only are the natural surroundings diverse but so are the people with their attendant cultural interests. And speaking of culture, Asheville is a haven for artisans with numerous galleries and festivals to show off their talents. If you love music, you've come to the right place. Not only do we have numerous concerts in the area all the time but we also have Friday night drumming during warmer months in Pritchard Park and Shindig on the Green in the summer, both free to the public. You will frequently hear a lone musician or a combo providing music in front of the cafes, Fine Arts Theater or Malaprops Bookstore. And speaking of downtown Asheville, it is impossible to walk down any street, anytime of day, any day of the week, any time of year and not find lots of people abuzz with activity. It is just a lively and invigorating town. And Asheville has some of the very best cafes and coffee houses you will find anywhere. Have I convinced you that I love it here? If so, or even if not, come and find out for yourself why Asheville is listed in numerous magazines and books as one of the top places to live or visit in the entire world!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Treetop Mountain Vista is a single cabin off to itself to provide longed for privacy. No one will bother you as you enjoy the hot tub for two high up on the deck. Part of the deck is covered for dining outside, which you can still enjoy even in a peaceful rain. The hot tub is open so you can thoroughly enjoy the night sky. The queen bed is in the great room with a perfect view of Mt. Pisgah as you awaken in the morning or just taking a breather anytime of the day. Everything is provided for your experience of rustic beauty with more than just a touch of luxury. The view from nearly every window is inspiring. You are right at Mt. Pisgah and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and you'll be watching the view over the treetops(hence the name TREETOP MOUNTAIN VISTA). Behind the cabin is more mountain to explore. But right up highway 151 and the Blue Ridge Parkway are plenty of places to hike or ride your mountain bike. It's an exceptional location! Yet not at all far from Asheville, Waynesville, The Biltmore Estate, The North Carolina Arboretum and too much more to mention here.
