Pleasant surprise! More amenities and privacy than expected. We have stayed here often and it is always clean, organized and fresh for our many visits. Heated pool with BBQ, fridge, shower, bathrooms and new large screen HD TV is our favorite place to cook & relax. The surrounding grounds are exquisite and manicured to perfection. This complex has recently undergone a complete renovation including special landscape lighting and Keys-style cobblestone paver sidewalks… It’s like living in PARADISE! Must See.

Highly recommend this resort as a very relaxing and luxury venue to stay. There is everything your heart desires at the resort and some wonderful places to eat. We will definitely return in the future. This condo is small but perfectly formed! The view from the main rooms is beautiful and you have everything you need in a holiday home. It is quiet and the pool is wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay in your condo! The Ocean Reef staff is quite terrific. Saturday's weather was awful! We had to stay inside. However, we wanted to try the Buzzard's Roost for dinner. We got wet, but enjoyed eating there. After 7 it was very busy! Sunday, the day was wonderful. We spent the day by the pool on the "Island" and went sailing, etc. Thanks again for making all the arrangements for us. Pat and Don

Just had to take a second to say thanks Linda! I travel quite a bit and use HomeAway and VRBO and am always delighted when I find a first rate place with no surprises but good ones. I was in Ocean Reef on a conference and in very much need to have all the comforts of office and home. I was well rewarded, your kitchen is stocked well so I assume you're a cook; the bed extremely comfortable, the couch wonderful to sit on. Great high def TV, wifi and lovely views. My favorite was looking through the palm trees and listening to the rustling of their leaves right outside the condo, being up IN the trees looking onto the water was very special after a long day of meetings. Couldn't help but read the review from the person that was there just before I was and felt compelled to take a minute to dispel any fears...some people just can't be satisfied with anything.

Paradise Lost!

Ocean Reef is a beautiful place and the apartment is small but in a great location. Sadly it comes with big problems. The toilet blocked or overflowed four times in a week and the owner refused us any form of compensation. We got to know the plumbers by name!. The apartment is equipped with plungers... but that's no way to spend a holiday. The apartment also has a tiny windowless 2nd bedroom with an extremely noisy a/c unit. Our sons had to move a mattresss onto the living room floor to get some sleep. The owner does include a warning about the noise, but only after you have paid ... paradise has its problems i'm afraid. Take care!

Owner response:Every apartment and home in the United States has a plunger, not exactly sure what you are implying. The morning you called with a toilet stopage, the plumber was there within the hour, as well as the housekeeper and my property manager. One hour. A wonderful, beautiful week of lovely weather in one of the most exclusive beautiful places on earth in a modern Pottery Barn decorated condo...... The toilet blocked 3 times during the week and ALL 3 times, the plumber was there within the hour. When you wrote me saying you had 3 'children' I explained the 2nd bedroom to be small and that the 3rd 'child' would have to sleep on the couch. My property manager explained that your 'children' aren't really children but adults who are all well over 6 feet tall as are you and your wife. You refer to be warned about noise? There is no noise anywhere, we are miles and miles away from the hustle and bustle of Key Largo and dead silent except for the birds and the wind in the palm trees. My property manager did tell me that the very first morning you had talked about "compensation" because of the toilet, so it was understood from the first morning what your expectations were. It would be prudent to read the material given you if you have special needs in your family. Linda

We loved this past week with our kids at Ocean Reef. Elegant setting with a "touch of wilderness" as the brochure says. Great cute condo, fabulous view, close proximity to the all-important pool. We appreciated the detailed instructions on how to get to the condo and use it etc. Sad to leave!!

Ocean Reef is the ideal location for family vacation. The photos in the ad accurately reflect the unit and the unit itself was very clean and very well maintained. It had everything one might need. The owner was very helpful and very professional and made sure the unit was ready even with short notice. I would greatly recommend OR and this property any time! Much fun and lots to do!

Very Quiet & Relaxing

This condo was well decorated and very comfortable for the five of us. It had all the comforts of home along with TV's in every room and internet. The pool was just a quick hop down the sidewalk, and the area was nice and quiet. With three teenagers a bit too quiet as there really wasn't a whole lot to do and being 15 miles from Key Largo was a little bit inconvenient. But for mom and dad it was very relaxing.

Owner response:Well Ocean Reef has about every activity(golf, tennis, crocket, kayaking, sailfish sailing,movie theatre, bicycling, snorkeling, restaurants, bars one could imagine. You mentioned Key Largo being 15 miles away. There is absolutely NOTHING to do in Key Largo, they have no movie theatre, golf, tennis, crocket so not sure if you really understand the Keys. If your teenagers had wanted to "party" Ocean Reef doesn't have much "party" in the summer for teenages....did you rent them a golf cart so they could travel the 6000 acres freely in the safest community in the US? Key West is "happening" , bars, Tshirt shops, cruise ships, people in craziness, that might be more appropirate for you all in the summer months looking for "action".

A vacation to always remember

This condo is impeccably clean with a gorgeous view of the canal with boats. We truly enjoyed our 7:30 a.m. swims in the pool right in our complex (a 1/2 a minute walk from the condo) and loved grilling and eating dinners out by the pool as well. The condo is small but was spacious enough for my 2 children and husband. And if you've never been to Ocean Reef, it is the biggest treat! Everyone uses golf carts as transportation (I highly recommend doing this - make sure you reserve one) and the kids love it! The lagoon is beautiful and the restaurants are fabulous. We did a lot of fishing right in the backyard of our condo...you go to the local bait shop and they set you right up. Definitely would recommend this vacation to anyone. We plan to make it an annual outing.

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week over New Years and had a wonderful time. The condo has everything you need for a great vacation. We would highly recommend it. Ocean Reef is a wonderful place for families too- very fun and safe!
