Our condominium is located on the second floor of Emerald Towers, a family oriented, private, gated community with amazing views of the beautiful green waters, white beaches and fantastic sunsets which the Emerald Coast is famous.
Whether you are up early for the dazzling sunrise to the east or watching the orange glow sunset to the west, you will not find a better view! Plus, the second floor location provides the best view of and easiest access to the beach!
Our constantly upgraded three bedroom, three bath condominium provides the finest of vacation comfort. Features include two full walls of floor to ceiling windows in the living room to provide spectacular views of the beach, travertine tile throughout, bathrooms and kitchen with granite countertops, full kitchen, wet bar with stand alone ice maker (plenty of ice for your beach cooler!) and in unit washer and dryer. Bedroom configurations provide flexible sleeping accommodations for eight (two master bedrooms, one with king and one with queen, third bedroom with twins and a living room sofa bed.)
PLUS! We participate in the "Passport to Fun" program. As our guest, you may receive the following admissions/fares per day: One adult and one child’s admission to Big Kahuna’s Water park, one adult fare on a deep sea fishing charter, one adult fare on a dolphin cruise, one adult and one child’s admission on the Little Nemo Jr. fishing adventure, and one adult and one child’s admission on the Sea Blaster power boat. Amenities at Emerald Towers includes a gulf side pool, tennis courts, work out center with sauna and steam rooms, pool side gas grills, free WIFI, business center and beach service.
Emerald Towers is located directly on the beach in the heart of Destin and within walking distance or a short drive to the finest restaurants, shopping, golf courses and water amusement parks in the area. Read on if you are interested in learning more!
Recreation
Whatever you like to do, you will find it here! Relax by the beach side pool, workout in the fitness center or play a game of tennis on Emerald Towers’ tennis courts. Or enjoy activities on the beach from sunup to sundown. Swim, join in volleyball, try a little surfing, parasail, rent a jet ski or kayak, or simply enjoy sitting on the white sands watching the tide roll in! A private beach service is available with beach umbrellas and lounge chairs.
Venture a mile in any direction and you can find almost every activity imaginable: Golf, fishing, boating, miniature golf, water parks, amusement parks and rides, go carts, movies, to name a few. Here are our favorites:
Destin is known as the World’s Luckiest Fishing Village and has full fleet of fishing boats at your disposal.
Golf is great in Destin! Regatta Bay (highly rated as one of the best in Florida), Kelly Plantation (Freddy Couples design) and Indian Bayou (semi-private course with 27 holes) are all close by. There are a number of other good courses a few miles away, including those at Sandestin (some very highly rated) and the somewhat quirky Santa Rosa Golf Club.
In season, there is nothing better than renting a pontoon boat. Anchor at Crab Island for a little swimming or cruise the bay toward Fort Walton Beach. Call Luther's Pontoon, Kayak & Jet Ski Rentals on Destin Harbor and ask for either Big or Little John.
If you like water and amusement parks, Destin has two of the best within ¼ mile, Big Kahuna (large water park with multiple slides, rivers, kiddy pools, go-carts and monster rides. Generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and The Track (great amusement park with indoor games, putt putt, go-carts and other rides, and bungee if that is your thing.)
For movies, there are two multi-theater cinemas close to Emerald Towers, Destin Cinema 10 and Destin Commons Cinema.
Restaurants
Destin has some of the best restaurants you can find, featuring any type of fare that you want. Our favorites are Harbor Docks (full menu, sushi and hibachi. Great bar. On the Destin Harbor with great views. Some of the best fresh Florida seafood in Destin), Backporch Restaurant (nothing better than the ½ mile walk on the beach to the Backporch for lunch or dinner. Right on the beach and open air. Traditional Florida fried or grilled seafood. Bathing suits and bare feet welcome), Marina Cafe (upscale seafood restaurant with a great menu of seafood, steaks and pizza. Excellent wine selection. On Destin Harbor), Mcguire's Irish Pub (Huge menu of steaks, traditional Irish and bar food. The smoked prime rib is amazing!), AJs (where you go to watch sunsets on the Destin Harbor. The large Tiki bar offers great views of the Harbor and the boats coming in) and Johnny O'Quigleys (best sports bar here, very good bar food and hundreds of TVs. On the Gulf side of Hwy 98 directly across from Bass Pro Shop.) If you want good pizza, try Merlin’s (Great varieties of pizza for takeout or cook at home. By the Blockbuster on Airport Road and Hwy 98.)
Shopping
Destin has shopping for any taste from clothing, to furniture to fishing tackle. There are stores from the Destin Bridge east as far as you want to go. My family's two favorites are Silver Sands Outlet (nation’s largest designer outlet) and Destin Commons (upscale shopping with several good restaurants and the Bass Pro Shop.)

Emerald Tower's is located directly on the beach, with the pool right there. You could not be closer to the best beach in the world. Plus, Destin has everything to offer for a vacation, including great beaches, all kinds of sports, shopping and fabulous restaurants.

Owner's Map of Emerald Towers
We purchased a two bedroom unit on the upper floors of Emerald Towers when it was first built. We subsequently purchased this three bedroom as we wanted more space. We also wanted to be closer to ground level where we can sit on the balcony and enjoy the beach view. Being on the second floor, we also have easy access by taking the stairs, rather than the elevators.
