My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful apartment and couldn't have been happier. The apartment itself is large, spacious, very clean, and has a beautiful terrace. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to most locations around the city and there are two main metro stations within less than a 10 minute walk. Niccolo was extremely nice and was at the apartment to meet us on arrival despite getting in after 9pm. He answered all emails promptly and was very helpful. Having traveled all over the world I know what to look for when staying in an apartment and I highly recommend this one.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

As a single female traveler planning a trip to Rome, safety was very high on my priority list when it came to selecting lodging. I was encouraged immediately when Niccolo replied to my inquiry about the apartment. His correspondence was prompt, thorough, and professional, so I felt comfortable booking his apartment. Niccolo was helpful and responsive throughout the process. The location of the apartment was very convenient. It is a fifteen minute walk from the train station, where you catch the Terravision bus to and from the FCO airport. This was an excellent advantage, since the Terravision bus was less than 10 Euro rountrip...taxis to and from the airport are 48 Euro each way! I walked everywhere in Rome. I took the bus only once to the Vatican, but I walked home, so I found the location of the apartment to be excellent. Walking down to Centro Storico took about 30-40 minutes, and walking up to Villa Borghese took about 15 minutes. The apartment itself was exactly as described. Because I was there in February and the weather was in the low 50s, I didn't get to enjoy the beautiful terrace as much as I would have liked, but the natural light in the apartment was excellent. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The kitchen has all the basic tools required for cooking, and there is a cute produce shop and market on Via Flavia. I visited the Vatican on my last day in Rome and ended up missing the last entry to the Vatican Museums (to see the Sistine Chapel), because I was eating lunch at Romeo. In all honestly, the pizza at Romeo was the most amazing pizza I'd ever had...so good that I didn't regret missing the Sistine Chapel for it! I figured that I'd just have to come back to Rome. When I do, I would definitely stay at this apartment again. Definitely go eat at Romeo near the Vatican. Also, the wine pairing dinner at Roscioli was excellent. I downloaded the app "Katie Parla's Rome for Foodies" and was never let down. I always planned my meals before leaving the apartment, and I never got stuck eating mediocre meals in tourist traps.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I spent the entire month of January at this apartment. All of the wonderful comments that other reviewers have made were accurate. The owner, Niccolo, was a pleasure to deal with from the time we sent our first e-mail of inquiry right up til our final day. On the rare occasions when a minor problem ( stuck lock, water heater had to be restarted ) he cheerfully responded and had everything back in order within an hour or two. This unit comes with weekly cleaning and the person who does this, Romeo, was absolutely trustworthy. Having a driver for the trips to and from the airport was a tremendous bonus. Drivers were on-time, courteous, and drove very nice Mercedes. One could take a train in but traveling with large bags, then trying to get our bearings at Termini, would have been difficult. Cabs are 48 euro each way. The apartment itself is just as represented in the photos. Very clean, sunny, and just right for two people. The terrace was a pleasure on sunny days and allowed my wife to do a bit of her beloved gardening. The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked the majority of our meals. A variety of delis are within a block or two. A nice full-service market is available in the mornings roughly 6 blocks away, on Piazza Allessandria. A large grocery store is a few blocks the other side of via XX Septembre, on via Goito. A smaller branch of it is located in Termini and is useful at times where everything else is closed. Some of the best pizza that we had anywhere in Italy is available, literally, a few steps from your door ( Pincere. open from 8:30 until 4 pm ). The neighborhood itself is surprisingly quiet given its central location. It wasn't at all "touristy" and it was rare to hear anyone speaking anything but Italian- such a pretty language to the ear. We walked to just about everything. Even Trastavere, the Colosseum, and the Vatican can be reached on foot but buses and the Metro are easily accessible if needed. Being able to use the elevator of the Hotel Medici was helpful after long walks and the fact that they have someone watching the door 24 hours per day allows one to feel very safe in the apartment. No need to bring maps, guidebooks, or umbrellas- they're all present in the unit. The laptop that comes with the apartment works fine,Internet service is fast and reliable. If one is staying in Rome for more than a few days this is an amazing option- like getting a deluxe suite in a Hotel for a fraction of the price.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We spent a week in this beautiful roof top apartment, and wished we could have stayed for longer. Niccolo was a wonderful host, engaging and friendly. He answered all of our questions whilst showing us around the apartment (which looks exactly like the photos), told us where to buy groceries, fruit etc. and pointed out some good restaurants and coffee shops. Even though the apartment is above a hotel, it is serenely quiet at night, which was very welcome after spending all day on the go amid the hustle and bustle that is Rome. We walked to a lot of the tourist sights, but there are a couple of Metro stations not too far away. Deciding which restaurant to eat at each evening was difficult, as there are so many close by, and our decadent treat was to stop in at the nearby gelati shop on our way home to sample their delicious ice creams. We highly recommend Niccolo and his delightful apartment to anyone visiting Rome and we would certainly stay here again. This was our fifth trip to Rome but our first time staying in the Veneto area. On other visits we have stayed in the Campo Fiori area. However, the availability of the elevator and the security of the Veneto apartment was important for us this time - no stairs at the end of walking all day in Rome was fantastic. We stayed at the apartment for two weeks. The apartment is very comfortable and convenient - everything, including the terrace, was as indicated in the advertisement. Niccolo was extremely kind, accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. There are plenty of little restaurants in the neighbourhood but we like the availability of a full kitchen. The delicatessens on Flavia were convenient but we also found a Despar within walking distance. A market through the Porta Pia was also convenient. The #62 bus was handy and, although crowded in the early morning, takes you right into town and stops at St. Peters - walking to the station and also into the centre of Rome is not a problem - very manageable and what glorious sights along the way. Borghese Gardens are close and a visit there is very relaxing - we visited the gallery for a second time and it is wonderful - a must for Caravaggio lovers. Reservations essential. We would highly recommend Niccolo's apartment to any of our friends and we hope to return again - Rome is always beckoning.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I stayed in this apartment October 2-9, 2009 and am STILL raving about how wonderful my holiday was!! As a woman travelling alone this apartment afforded me a safe and extremely comfortable home setting to return to after a hard day of playing tourist. The restaurant outside the front door of the building was my "kitchen" every night and I made so many friends with the other "regular" diners who were staying in the hotel (Hotel Medici is on the floors below the apartment) that my holiday was even more special. I look forward to booking here again in 2013 and have referred many friends to this quiet area for good accommodations and dining. Easy walking to stops on the tour bus lines and the Rome Harley dealer is only a couple blocks away so you can add to your Harley-Davidson t-shirt collection!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My brotherand I stayed in this lovely apartment for one week. It is clean and very well maintained, close to restaurants and grocery stores. It is also close to Termini station which is very convenient. We walked all over Rome and came back to a wonderful terrace where we often ate and relaxed. Niccolò is a very nice man, very helpfull and attentive. I had previously stayed in the same building, in Stefano's flat. It is also a great place. The building is very secure and quiet. If I return to Rome, it will always be in this place because I feel right at home here. I highly recommend this property. Un charmant appartement au centre de Rome, près de tout, tranquille, avec une superbe terrasse.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We'd highly recommend this apartment. Niccolo was great to deal with both before we arrived and while we were there and the place was spotless and very well set up for guests. It's nice that it's a bit out of the busier/more touristy areas and kind of quiet. There are also quite a few good nearby grocery shops for those who want to take advantage of the kitchen and have a bite on the apartment's spacious terrace. We wouldn't hesitate to book this again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

With the hustle, sights and people in Rome, staying at the apartment provided us with great relaxation and the comforts that we are so thankful for. The apartment is spacious, located on a very nice, quiet street, in a great location featuring amenities that made our stay fantastic. We grew quite accustomed to our surroundings, especially since we had many shops in such close proximity for our provisions. Everyone we encountered from the neighborhood are all such nice people and I believe that this makes any vacationers stay feel more a part of Italy and its rich culture. The apartment is in walking distance of many sights, so you can walk around the city and have your fill of the “must see” in Rome without feeling rushed or tired. Termini Station is also very close and walking to and from it with luggage is accomplished without much difficulty. Having a washing machine was a huge “plus” as we took advantage of it and I believe this truly helps vacationers, as you will be able to limit the amount of clothing you have to pack. The rooftop terrace was such a pleasure and perfect for enjoying our morning espressos and evening wine. I also want to mention that there is an ATM just across the apartment, so if you have a balance to pay, you will not have to worry about carrying much cash with you as you can easily withdraw what you need. Niccolo was always helpful and so was Romeo who was very kind. I don’t think our stay in Rome would have been as delightful if we stayed in any other place. It is truly a home away from home. -Korinna & SteveRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed in Flavia Rooftop apartment for 4 weeks (November/December) and it was a very pleasant experience. Even thought we couldn't take a full advantage of a magnificent rooftop terrace outside, it was roomy and comfortable. My son was happy to find a piano there. Niccolo was very nice, helpful and quick in accommodating our needs, and we have some with our family members arriving and going all of the time. The location was great too. Highly recommended.
