LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! The Whaler is the one. Located right in the heart of Kaanapali!
The beach, fronting The Whaler, is the 'BEST' in all of the island. Don't be fooled by properties that say they are on Kaanapali Beach, when they are not in the PRIME area for the sand (without rocks), shopping and eating.
There are many many restaurants all with in walking distance. Shops are plentiful at Whalers Village (next door to Whaler) and in all the hotel lobbies.
By taking an evening walk along the sidewalk, on the oceanside of all the hotels, you will find it to be a fairy-land. Stars, cool breezes, and ocean waves to enchant you.
We have a malady here in Maui. It is called 'Polynesian Paralysis.' This malady makes you feel like 'you died and went to Heaven'. Actually, we who live here, believe we are truly in Heaven.
Please come. We will help in any way to make this the very BEST vacation you have ever had. And we bet that you will want to return again and again.

My daughter and I just stayed for a week at Whaler 15088. It was fabulous. We loved the property. It is beautiful, and smoke free! The pictures of the beach and view are exactly what you get. We loved the location. We were able to walk along the beach 4 miles each morning and then have coffe on the lanai. It is close to shopping and dining if you don't want to drive. We definitely recommend the Whaler and we would return in a Hawaiian heartbeat!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

PERFECT VACATION CONDO FOR MY WIFE AND I. GREAT VIEW OF OCEAN FROM BALCONY FOR WHALE WATCHING AND SUNSETS. BLACK ROCK IS SHORT STROLL DOWN BEACH WALK TO THE GREATEST SNORKELLING IN MAUI. CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER, LOTS OF EXOTIC FISH, CORAL AND THE BEST THING WAS SNORKELLING WITH GIANT SEA TURTLES EVERY DAY. CONDO WAS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. IT WAS VERY SPACIOUS, LARGE BALCONY, FULL KITCHEN, LARGE BATHROOM, CLOSET SPACE, AND VERY COMFORTABLE KING SIZE BED. UNIQUE SHOPPING CENTER IS A SHORT WALK AWAY, WITH RESTAURANTS, LOTS OF SHOPPING AND A WHALING MUSEUM. TOURS CAN BE BOOKED DIRECTLY AT THE FRONT DESK OFFICE. CATAMARAN EXCURSIONS BOARD RIGHT IN FROM OF CONDO ONTHE BEACH. WE ENJOYED BBQING MEALS ON THE GROUNDS AND ENJOYED SOME NICE CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER CONDO RESIDENTS. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK. IT REALLY IS PARADISE ON EARTH.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Everything about our rental of #264 worked like a charm. Cindy was terrifically helpful and easy to contact. Check-in at the Whaler's front desk was a breeze. The unit was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with GREAT views of the ocean and Black Rock. We walked to Black Rock for snorkeling every day, and the Whaler's concierge also helped us plan and book a fun day trip on the ferry from Lahaina to the island of Lanai. Finally, Cindy offered us a rate on a late check-out, to accomodate our evening flight back to the mainland. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The Whaler is the perfect place to stay on Maui! Walking distance to shopping, dining, and BLACK ROCK - the best snorkeling anywhere! We booked this studio for our daughter; my husband and I were already booked in a different Whaler studio. We enjoy having a kitchen rather than staying in a hotel when we're staying for a week. The unit was just as described. Dealing with Cindy was a pleasure; she was extremely helpful. We will definitely keep this unit in mind for our next visit to Maui.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

My daughter and I loved our stay at your unit. The location was perfect--it was close to Whaler's Village, Black Rock, elevator/parking and laundry. The building/unit were both so quiet and peaceful. We loved the layout with the huge closet, and the bed was so very comfortable. The view from the room and the lanai were awesome. Thanks for all of your help and hope that we are able to come back soon.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We just got back from our stay 6/12/12 thru 6/19/12. We got married on Oahu and then went to Maui. We really enjoyed the location of this condo. It has a large lanai just above the cortyard with amazing views of the ocean, black rock and the mountains on the other side. The studio was large especially with the nice sized closet/ dressing room, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our coffee on a lanai every morning and enjoyed all the birds and flowers. Kaanapali Beach was awesome and the beach walk was great in both directions. We loved the Hula Grill's food both the bar area and the restaurant. The Westin's Brunch was amazing. Whaler's Village is nice. Go snorkeling at Honolua Bay - amazing coral and fish - even saw an octopus! We loved Maui. Cindy was very helpful and this was such a nice way to book a condo. Thank you so much!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We just got back from our stay Feb. 13th thru Feb. 20th in this unit. We found the condo to be very well equiped with anything you could possibly need. We were told before arriving that we would not be able to open the doors to the lanai. We were disapointed but found once there that we really didn't miss it so much. It would of been nice to sit on the lanai for cocktails and fresh air but all in all it wasn't missed. The unit has a very quiet air conditioner so sleeping was not a problem. Dealing with Cindy was great, she always responded to our inquiries and made the whole process run very smooth. P.S. I would of rated this higher if we could of used the lanai......Thanks Cindy and Mahalo.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are happy to share that an exterior renovation project that began back in March 2011, to upgrade each lanai (balcony) in both towers has finally been completed. It has left every unit at The Whaler with new tile, new railings, new planter boxes and fresh paint. A big mahalo goes out to all the wonderful, understanding guests who endured through this long project. We invite you to return and enjoy the new and improved lanai.

We have stayed in a number of condos at the Whaler, but no one was more accurate and helpful than these owners. The studio was well appointed and the bed was VERY comfortable. We would hope to return many times. We did happy hours(mainly for food) and three that stood out were: Pinapple Grill...fantastic! Sea House...very good and a beautiful setting. Gannons( in Wailea) very good and Tristan the bartender is second to none!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We recently spent 2 weeks in The Whaler # 264, and other than wishing it were 2 months I can't say I'd change anything about it. In past trips to Kaanapali Beach we've stayed at the Hyatt, which is nice but not on the greatest area of beach. We decided to try this condo to compare the difference. The condo itself is beautifully located, just steps from the elevator and laundry, a short stairway to the beach and pool, and a few more steps to Whaler's Village! While we were there the weather was perfect every day and we ate all our meals on the lanai, watching whales in the morning and sunsets in the evening. We even watched the torch lighter at Black Rock, the view is fabulous! The condo is so much more spacious than we had anticipated. The kitchen is complete with all the basics, the bathroom is also spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. The beach in front of the Whaler condo is wide, gentle, no lava rocks to dodge, and very close to black rock without the crowds at black rock. Several snorkel and whale watching excursions leave from the beach on either side of the Whaler, so there's no getting up at dawn to drive to a wharf in another town. You just walk out outside and you're there! It's difficult not to have a wonderful time in Maui, but when you have a lovely "home" to return to at the end of a fun day it's even better! All in all we felt that our expectations were exceeded and thank the owners for adding to wonderful and memorable vacation with the use of their condo.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
