We just got back from our stay Feb. 13th thru Feb. 20th in this unit. We found the condo to be very well equiped with anything you could possibly need. We were told before arriving that we would not be able to open the doors to the lanai. We were disapointed but found once there that we really didn't miss it so much. It would of been nice to sit on the lanai for cocktails and fresh air but all in all it wasn't missed. The unit has a very quiet air conditioner so sleeping was not a problem. Dealing with Cindy was great, she always responded to our inquiries and made the whole process run very smooth. P.S. I would of rated this higher if we could of used the lanai......Thanks Cindy and Mahalo.

Owner response:We are happy to share that an exterior renovation project that began back in March 2011, to upgrade each lanai (balcony) in both towers has finally been completed. It has left every unit at The Whaler with new tile, new railings, new planter boxes and fresh paint. A big mahalo goes out to all the wonderful, understanding guests who endured through this long project. We invite you to return and enjoy the new and improved lanai.

A super studio with a super view

We have stayed in a number of condos at the Whaler, but no one was more accurate and helpful than these owners. The studio was well appointed and the bed was VERY comfortable. We would hope to return many times. We did happy hours(mainly for food) and three that stood out were: Pinapple Grill...fantastic! Sea House...very good and a beautiful setting. Gannons( in Wailea) very good and Tristan the bartender is second to none!

We recently spent 2 weeks in The Whaler # 264, and other than wishing it were 2 months I can't say I'd change anything about it. In past trips to Kaanapali Beach we've stayed at the Hyatt, which is nice but not on the greatest area of beach. We decided to try this condo to compare the difference. The condo itself is beautifully located, just steps from the elevator and laundry, a short stairway to the beach and pool, and a few more steps to Whaler's Village! While we were there the weather was perfect every day and we ate all our meals on the lanai, watching whales in the morning and sunsets in the evening. We even watched the torch lighter at Black Rock, the view is fabulous! The condo is so much more spacious than we had anticipated. The kitchen is complete with all the basics, the bathroom is also spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. The beach in front of the Whaler condo is wide, gentle, no lava rocks to dodge, and very close to black rock without the crowds at black rock. Several snorkel and whale watching excursions leave from the beach on either side of the Whaler, so there's no getting up at dawn to drive to a wharf in another town. You just walk out outside and you're there! It's difficult not to have a wonderful time in Maui, but when you have a lovely "home" to return to at the end of a fun day it's even better! All in all we felt that our expectations were exceeded and thank the owners for adding to wonderful and memorable vacation with the use of their condo.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this condo from December 26, 2010 through January 8, 2011. Everything that was listed in the property description was provided for and 100% accurate. The room is spacious, clean, and the location is absolutely stunning. Staying at this condo was like living in paradise for two weeks. The owners could not have been nicer, and they were always ready and willing to answer any and all questions that we had. It was truly a worry-free experience. I would give this condo my highest recommendation. Thank you!

We had such an amazing time in Maui, between the restaurants, snorkeling, the pool, the people and the beautiful place to stay. We absolutely loved your condo #264. This quaint location was perfect for the vacation my boyfriend and I needed! We arrived to the hotel, everything was perfectly clean and in order. The guest services station was very helpful and had the room ready earlier than we thought was possible. After 5 hours of flying and a shuttle bus, we were so happy. The great thing about this room was that it was all-inclusive. We were able to save money on breakfast and lunch by going to the nearby ABC store and stocking up. It was the perfect get-a-way... felt like a home away from home. Cindy was so helpful and friendly. When we return to Maui, I am going to call her. Thanks again! Renee and Brandon

We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon. We thought it was a fabulous condo and the owners are great to work with. If you're looking for an upscale unit, then this isn't it but if you are looking for something more authentic and comfortable at a reasonable price then you found the place. We were a short walk down the hall from the awesome Kaanapali beach. We were also a short walk to Black Rock for snorkeling which was amazing snorkeling. No need to go on a snorkel trip, this snorkeling was awesome. Swam with turtles and lots of other colorful fish. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance along the ocean walkway. It also didn't seem as windy here as other parts of Maui so no sandblasting while enjoying the beach. This is a nice condo to cook in or they provide grills for cooking out. Just steps from the Whaler village for some quick food or shopping. Only 5-10 minutes to Lahaina for a great beach town experience. We can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed 10 wonderful days in unit #264, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Several people recommended this to us, and we were not disappointed. Working with Cindy was special, and she showed her integrity from the get-go! The unit provides everything you need. We especially enjoyed the balcony/lanai for early morning breakfasts, some lunches, gorgeous views throughout the day and late evening, star-studdend skies....most of the days we even experienced double rainbows for just a short period...awesome! We loved stepping out the door and onto the beach with a 6:00 a.m. cup of coffee, in the chairs #264 provided. The early morning and sunset walks along the beachfront path of Kaanapali Beach are not to be missed! We also chose #264 because of its proximity to 'the action' of Whaler's Village - a fun place to shop and extraordinary restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed time on the beach, the cabanas, the pool and getting to meet some really nice people. Of course, we'd like to move there, but 'til then, we look forward to our next time in #264. Thank you Cindy and the Pfeiffers....you made our 50th a wonderful vacation! - Cliff and Marty

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon in September of 2007 and it was wonderful. It is the perfect location and on a beautiful beach. Tons of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance and great snorkeling a short walk down the beach. We LOVED maui and The Whaler, it was a perfect honeymoon!

Enjoyed great R&R here in August 07. #264 is a large, clean, quiet, and well-kept air conditioned studio condo with a very comfy king bed and fabulous sunset views off the shaded lanai. The Whaler is right on the beach, with a mile long promenade walkway that passes several great restraurants and noted hotels. Black Rock is just one hotel away, and has the best snorkeling on Ka'anapali Beach. We went to several Maui beaches and NONE were better than the one outside your door. Rent snorkel gear cheap next door at Maui Dive Shop in the Whaler Outdoor mall. The condo is on 2nd floor of Tower 2, and a few feet from the elevator, making it easy for quick getaways to the beach, pool, or a spot of shaded grass. And be sure to enjoy a sunset sail on the Trilogy Catamaran (sign up kiosk and boarding is in front of the hotel, how easy is that). Cindy makes sure you are set and the place is ready for your stay. You won't want to go home.

My husband and I visited your condo 7-26-07 -8-02-07 and it was absolutly fabulous! It was actually better than the pictures-great location and the beach was awesome. We stayed in #264 for the first part of our honeymoon and it was perfect! The condo looks just like the pictures on the internet. The kitchen was fully stocked and the closet with the beach towels, floaties, cooler, etc., was very convenient. The employees at The Whaler were very nice. If we ever return to Maui, we will return to #264.

Had a great time, and helping make it that way was #264. It more than exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed was there, from linens, beach towels, beach seats, coolers and "floaters" - all in great condition. We had planned to eat dinners out, but with everything we needed in the kitchen for us... and the new Webber Gas Grills (which the Whaler staff keeps immaculately clean), we enjoyed having all our dinners on the lani at sunset! And that bed... well... I tried to figure out how to get it on the plane with us. 50 steps to the stairs (if you choose not to use the elevators),down one quick flight of stairs, 25 steps and you are on the beach!! Our best recommendation? We shall return!

We just returned from our 9th visit to this beautiful Unit 264. The unit has everything you could want and the view from the lanai is spectacular, we love having brkfst out there. The location is perfect, walking distance to shopping, very good restaurants and the lovely Kaanapali Beach Hotel with great entertainment nightly and a very friendly staff in both the Tiki Bar & restaurant. The Pffeifer's and Cindy are great people to deal with, you wont be disappointed with their place. We hope to return!!

Your place is fabulous. Big deck for morning coffee overlooking the grounds and the ocean, within short walking distance of shops, restaurants and snorkeling and a great oceanside BBQ area for eating in. In addition to all of those great amenities it is very apparent you don't want visitors to be just renters but also guests of you. The condo was so clean and welcoming and the bed was actually more comfortable than ours at home (it's prompted us to buy a new one). We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will be back. We had never rented from an individual before when we have gone on vacation and were somewhat apprehensive about it. However, it was a very positive experience dealing with Cindy and Maui Dreams. The condo was wonderful! We were there in early September and everything was perfect - the weather, the location, and the amenities. We had investigated several other areas on Maui to stay and were so glad we selected Kaanapali. We couldn't imagine a better location. This condo has it all and we highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Maui!

My wife and I spent stayed at this condo on our honeymoon June 7-17, 2004. The room was exactly as described and the location couldn't have been any better! Everyone at the Whaler was extremely polite and friendly. The condo owners were also very easy to work with and contact. I'm sure we'll be back for an anniversary in the future!

Accommodations were first rate, clean and all of the amenities were available. Location was the best on Maui, with easy access to the beach and Whaler Village. We plan to go back soon. This condo receives my highest rating!
