This is a great place! We rented Sunset Cottage for our anniversary. Our children and their families joined us for several days. There was ample space for the 10 of us. There's lots of things to do in the area. We had a great time at the campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in the evening. The grandkids even caught a few fish! We all wished we could have stayed longer. Our family would definitely consider renting this home again!!

My family and I had an amazing time in your beautiful home! The view was unbeatable, and it was enjoyable to sit in the cool, enclosed porch or get sun on the decks. Our dog exercised on the hill fetching sticks while we sat on the lower deck enjoying the water. Thank you for providing such lovely accomodations - we would highly recommend it to anyone that appreciates a nicely furnished home.

Earlier this year my friends and I rented another VRBO in another state. Based on that experience I brought supplies along thinking I would need them- not at this rental! The amenities were such that anything we needed we were basically able to find in the home. This beautiful home suited our family of 13 on our first family vacation to celebrate our 40th anniversary - basically each family had their own floor. The grandchildren enjoyed the games provided including the foosball and hockey games. We waited to watch the barges travel down the lake each evening. The emails I sent to the owner were answered promptly and the security deposit returned in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to vacation in Ky. Thanks for providing the location for our vacation.

We rented this house with our extended family and all of us (14) enjoyed ourselves and were very comfortable. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The entertainment features included TV, fooseball and air hockey, all in great condition. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. There were ample enough linens. The house was maintened pretty well and clean. We also rented the adjoining boat slip for our boat. It was well maintained and a great place to lay out by the water. Beautiful views!

Every year 7 of us MO high school friends (from L O N G time ago - like Class of '57!) get together somewhere for a week. This year only 6 could make it. This home was super good choice. Wonderful house. Kept a puzzle going on table in sun porch area. Plenty of table space for eating, playing cards, etc. Even tho had more cool & cloudy weather than hoped for, had great time. Lake was very high & muddy, evidence of all the flooding in area. Still had one wonderful sunset day, one kinda good sunset & one beautiful full moon evening. Loved watching the barges - something new for all of us. Spent one day in Cadiz at antique shops - hot dog place there good, one day at Patti's Settlement, and one day exploring LBL. The nearby steak house was wonderful. Couldn't have ask for better furnished home, especially loved the extra coffee pot - we kept them both going! Lighting was good - just over-all a very nice vacation rental.

Our family and friends gathered for Thanksgiving week at this wonderful home. Great views of the sunset each evening topped off each great day. There were 7 adults and 2 dogs and we all had plenty of room. The accomodations are exactly as the pictures show or even better! The house is equipped with everything you could need and the kitchen was the perfect place for preparing the turkey dinner. The lower level was "game central" and the main level glassed in porch was perfect for relaxing. Watching the barges go by was pretty neat. We also witnessed thousands of White Pelicans on their migratory journey south. That was an amazing sight. If you get the chance to stay here, you won't be disappointed!!

Sunset Cottage is a awesome find! The house is welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need (and more!) for all ages. The lake views from the whole house are incredible and the owners are terrific to work with. We are already planning a return trip and don't care one bit if the fish aren't biting!

2 couples enjoyed your house for a week. The house is well kept, the website pictures are very representative. Nice floor plan and TVs in every room allow for separation when desired. Decks on back of house with a magnificent view were used extensively. Well stocked kitchen with nice furnishings. Highly recommend!

We had our family late Christmas here. There were3 familys and we had plenty of room. The Grandkids had the downstairs which was great for them, they set up the wi and had a ball. Grandparents were on the main floor and the parents were upstairs. the enclosed porch looking at the water is wonderful! We watched birds and barges go right by. the kitchen is very nice, the only thing was no pantry to put food away but they had lots of cabinets.Bathrooms on all floors, decorated very nice. Your really in the country but it was beautiful. We would love to return, maybe in the fall to see the changing colors.Owneres were easy to deal with, it was a wonderful but short trip.

We spent the weekend there last weekend and I cannot say enough good about this place. It is so beautiful and the view is beyond this world. The owners were very accomidating and went out of their way to please us. If you want to get away from it all and just relax this is the place for you. There is alot of room to spread out and have your own space. I would highly reccomend it and I plan to return again and again.

There were 10 of us that stayed at this house for a family vacation in August 2008. I have to admit I was a bit nervous, we had never rented a house for vacation before. When we got to the house I was thrilled! It was better than the listing. Plenty of room for everyone (including 5 children to run and play) and was well stocked with everything. GORGEOUS view of the lake. Could not have asked for anything better. Hopefully, one day our children will take their children there. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
Owner response:Thank you for your comment. We are happy to hear that you had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed the house. Sincerely, Paul and Becky
