Cozy, festive home. It has everything you need, including a grill and board games. Spent new years eve there with some great friends and the dog, we all loved it. Would not hesitate in renting the place again!

This Nov was our 3rd visit to Karen & Al's home, it is everything and more than the website proclaims, exceptionaly clean, so beautifully decorated for the season, a warm and cozy atmosphere, brings out the family life, we made a fire in the evening at the firepit along the creek, watched the stars and relaxed to the sounds of the rushing creek and nature, the town is small and quaint, the people are helpful (I got lost) ! I loved that I could take my dog , we explored everything, we even found a sandy beach along the creek, if you are looking for a relaxing yet eventful vacation, this is the place, trails to explore, horses to rent nearby,so much history, I can't wait to go back!!

We enjoyed our stay in this charming, clean, warm, comfy home on the Starrucca. Sitting by the creek, drinking our morning coffee, hiking the trails with the dogs (and seeing deer!), so very relaxing. We will most certainly refer our friends and family to stay at Karen and Al's vacation home, and we look forward to returning, perhaps in the spring. Thank you again, Karen and Al, for being so friendly, accomodating, and easy to deal with. Sincerely, t & amy

My family, 5-yr old, baby, and husband stayed for a week at this wonderful house. We merely wanted peace and quiet, and this was exactly what we needed. My husband and son went fishing several times at the creek while my daughter and I went for walks on the rails to trails. We visited the Lackawanna coal mine, train yard, and NorthEast Fair in Scranton, climbed the waterfalls at Salt Spring State Park, and enjoyed a bonfire in the backyard on our last night. The house itself had a warm, homey ambiance and had everything one could need to kick back and relax. Highly recommended if you just to need to get away from it all.
Owner response:Hello Michelle &Kevin, Thank you ! For choosing our home for you vacation. You guy's did fit a lot into your week,it sounds like you had a great time. Thanks again for all your help!.We look forward to a possible return visit in the near future. Take care! Karen & Al

The house is located by a beautiful creek. The back yard was fun to use for play with our kids. The house was nicely remodeled and decorated for the Fall season ( we stayed last labor day weekend). The best was doing business with Karen, she is just like working with a Friend.

Hi Karen , This house is perfect for a couple or a small group, three nice bedrooms, a great kitchen, and plenty of corners to hang out in groups or individually. The front and back porch are great for relaxation, with a new grill and the sound of the creek in the background. As for other activities, we hiked, chased our dog around the property, and checked out the local car racing track, which was a new and interesting cultural experience for us! thanks again! We had a great week. I never felt so relaxed. The deck and the sound of the creek was beautiful, like being alone on an island. Great to be able to bring our dog with us, which is usually a problem. Found lots to do when I wasn't hanging around the house.
