Directly across from Shawnee Peak House, and right next to Shawnee Peak, offering day and night skiing and boarding galore! 2001 built property is perfect for multi-family gatherings and is an ideal four seasons getaway! Seconds from Shawnee Peak and minutes from boat launch on beautiful Moose Pond. You can do everything in this area and live in luxury while you do it all!
A 2006 addition to this gorgeous home included a stone gas fireplace in a huge game room with an 8 ft slate billiard table and a large custom built wet-bar ready for entertaining with a built-in kegerator (accepts both 1/4 and 1/2 kegs) and refrigerator. The game room also has an additional bathroom and a 36" LCD HDTV mounted over the stone gas fireplace and wired into a surround sound stereo system for maximum viewing and listening pleasure. Off the game-room there is a multi-person sauna perfect for relaxing those muscles after a hard day at the mountain or on the lake.
Open concept chalet on the main living area includes a well designed kitchen with built-in appliances and a granite island. The views from the dining room, living room and wrap around deck are breathtaking year round. You can enjoy preparing dinner on the hard-lined gas grill as you over-look Moose Pond and Shawnee Peak. Beautiful hardwood floors, slate entrance way, ceramic tile and Berber carpeting flow throughout the house. Installed DishNetwork provides over 200 channels of viewing for those rare occasions when you can't find anything to do outside. Wireless DSL is available if you just have to stay connected to the outside world.
Each bedroom is en suite allowing for maximum privacy. The main level bedroom has a king-size bed with a large walk-in closet and a huge master bath including a stand-alone shower and a jetted jacuzzi bathtub; the top level bedroom has a full size bed and a twin size bed with a walk-in closet and your own bathroom with great detailing, a stand-alone shower and a sky light; the downstairs bedroom includes a bunk bed with one twin and one full size bed in addition to a second twin bed plus closet storage and it's own bathroom with a stand-alone shower.
The loft includes a full size futon and awesome views! In addition to the beds, the living room and game room have additional sleeping options with two sofas perfect for one, if needed. The house is completely and very tastefully decorated and furnished with linens, kitchenware and all necessary amenities. You just need to hit the local shopping market and you are ready to go!
The fun is limitless in this incredible area of Maine - year round activities abound! Swim in Moose Pond or at any of the many other lakes immediately accessible, such as Long Lake, Sebago Lake, Highland Lake, Kezar Lake, to name a few. The region has antiquing, Saco River kayaking and canoeing, multiple hiking trails, excellent leaf peeping, Fryeburg Fair in early October, snowmobiling on the ITS trail system, golfing at Bridgton Highlands, Point Sebago or Kezar, Portland Pirates hockey in the winter, Portland Sea Dogs baseball in the summer, shopping till you drop in sales-tax free North Conway, NH (20 minutes away) or in the awesome Old Port of Portland, ME or Freeport, ME (both just 45 minutes away).
The area has many local restaurants which are worth checking out - too many to mention by name, but you won't be disappointed if you venture out for dinner! The house is non-smoking but we can talk about pets. It very comfortably sleeps 11, but there is lots of additional space! We guarantee you'll fall in love with this chalet and ALL it has to offer and it will become a place you want to visit again and again - as well as share with your friends and family!
