Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville is set amidst 6,000 Catskill Mountain acres featuring wooded trails, open fields and pristine rivers. Scouts, quilters, yoga enthusiasts, religious organizations and many others enjoy the special benefits provided by Frost Valley. Summer camp and Environmental Education are also renowned programs.

Families seeking a peaceful mountain escape are among our most loyal customers. Many families return year after year, for generations. Visitors have the choice of simply spending a quiet visit in the mountains or they may participate in Frost Valley’s extensive programs, including: hiking, archery, climbing, arts and crafts, fly-fishing, canoeing, winter sports and many other activities. Guests have the choice of doing a lot or doing a little - either preference has its own rewards.

Schools, hospitals, non-profit organizations and a host of other businesses utilize Frost Valley for trainings, retreats and team-building exercises. The pristine surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for "getting away from it all" and bringing priorities back into focus.

Accommodations
Accommodations for families and groups are available from late August through mid-June, when Summer Camp is out of session. When families and groups choose to visit Frost Valley, they are presented with many lodging options. The choices include: the new family style, dormitory style, super lodges, motel style, cabins and the quaint Fly Fishing Cottage, an ideal family retreat for up to eight guests. The new Lakeview Lodge is already among the most popular accommodation choices. The Straus Center Inn, located 14 miles from main camp, is a great option for groups of 25 people or fewer.
