It is a large flat in the centre of Certaldo, (about 120 square meters – 1300 square feet) , sunny and finely furnished, right in the heart of the green Tuscany.
It has three bedrooms for 6 sleeping place, two double bedrooms with king-size bed and the other with two single beds.
There is a large entrance, a nice relaxing dining room and living room, a bathroom and large bright kitchen with two big windows, and a nice balcony facing the old Medieval Village that is the old part of my town (1300 A. D.) .
The house is equipped with color TV, washing machine, and independent heating for the winter. It is located not more than 5 minutes away walking from the railway station, right on the Florence-Pisa-Siena line, so that you can visit Tuscany most important cities without using a car. You can also find a big supermarket, which is very close to my house (5 minutes walking), restaurants and various shops.

Quiet little place

We stayed in Certaldo as we were getting married in the Alto. The apartment is very quiet. The owner is awesome at helping you out if you have questions regarding the area. It is quiet a climb to the apartment though so if you have health issues or don't like stairs. This is not the place for you. It is a close walk into town and a couple of bars. Every one is friendly but the English language isn't spoken by very many. There is a new Irish bar, Fionn McCools not to far from the apartment and is a must check out. I would recommend visitng the Alto and eatting up there every night. We found so many friendly people there and food was very good at all the restaurants we visited in Old Alto.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car.

This is a beautiful apartment in a small town and it is perfect for exploring Tuscany. The train station is a few minutes walk, and the grocery store is just a little further. We visited all the Tuscan cities that we could squeeze in during our 10 day stay and Certaldo is the perfect place to have as a home base. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The owner is wonderful. The kitchen has about everything you need to cook a nice meal. Make sure you visit Alto Certaldo while you are there, it's not in the guidebooks, and it's absolutely lovely and unspoiled.
