The beach at El Piemental is isolated from the normal pace of the surfing beaches. However, it is only 30 minutes from some of the best surfing beaches in the world. I have found the proximity to the airport a great advantage when coming from the USA. Literally 4 left turns and you are at the beach. Pick up a rental car or have a taxi drop you off.
Once you enter the private compound you find some of the most relaxing environments in the world. Guest are separated into two sleeping quarters on the nearly 1/2 acre site. The kitchen facilities, dining area and cabana make it easy to get away from the crowd if that is your desire. Walking on the beach tends to be very private as their are very few people on the beach most of the time. This is one reason I picked this beach for my second home. It is away from the crowd but only 30 minutes to shopping, restaurants or supermarket. The roads are excellent to all destinations.
Up the beach is a first class restaurant, hotel with horseback riding, 4 wheeler and beach buggies to rent. They will also cater food if you do not want to cook for yourself.
Most of the proceeds from our rent go to support the works of epilogos. This is a non profit group working with a number of villages in El Salvador to improve the living conditions of their residents. If you would like to volunteer with one of our groups please contact us for program schedules.

- This beach side home allows for easy commuting to international shopping in San Salvador, Day trips up the coast towards Guatemala are beautiful and serene. Stop at one of the restaurants overlooking the ocean or consider a day trip for golf at Los Cubanos. Heading towards Nicaragua you have the new seaport at La Union or the casino at Costa Del Sol. Or just spend the day reading in one of the hammocks under the palm trees. Long walks on the beach are peaceful and amazingly empty of people.
